Because it’s a real thing. Like. Dudes. This is a girl who has spent so much time alone, who knows just how lonely it gets to be unwanted. And so, when someone willingly lets her into their life, she has a tendency to get clingy, I think. Get a little possessive even. She’s not good at sharing, being raised in wealth and power as the daughter of the emperor’s brother, and then as the eighth princess in her own right.
