The episode ended and I kept thinking about it what a great, well-written series this is, featuring such complex characters. I can't bring myself to pick a side or defend just one of them, simply because I understand both perspectives and those nuances make the story a thousand times better

A few episodes back, I mentioned that Phob was caught in a dichotomy between what his soul believed was right and his heart. Making a choice for the greater good at the expense of his own happiness is an act of extreme altruism and immense courage. Despite having a good job and a stable life, Phob never forgot what he went through or the people suffering under the regime. As for Tin, I can't imagine the confusion in his mind: he reunites with his love after so many years, only to discover that this person is a revolutionary. How much of Phob’s approach was driven by an inability to stay away, and how much was about gathering information? He feels guilty, believing that his family's current plight is his fault, consequence of his love. Perhaps none of this would have happened if he had just resisted a little longer, right?

The Tin of eleven years later is a man consumed by guilt for loving, for not resisting, and for failing to be the person his father expects him to be. His love for Phob used to be what kept him going, but the possibility that this love was nothing but a lie leaves him feeling dead inside.

The preview for the next episode intrigued me: will living in a reality without privilege help Tin understand Phob’s motivations? I hope so

These two are going to be the death of me!

It was a truly agonizing episode, with the net closing in around them and them fighting to the very end. This episode serves as a great parallel to Episode 2, back then, they were innocent teenagers who just wanted to be together but had no say against their parents.

Now, they still want to be together, and even though there are far more problems trying to separate them, now they have the strength to fight for one another. Phob spent the entire episode painfully saying his goodbyes, desperately trying to keep Tinn within the safe haven they had created, a place where no one could reach them. Yet, the moment Tinn’s father shows up to take him away, it confirms that no matter how hard we run, in the end we have to face our problems; running away from them does not solve anything

Beyond everything against them: the revolution, Tinn’s family, and society Phob’s greatest fear is that the prince might stop loving him. That he won’t understand Phob’s reasons and won’t forgive him

"Why can't I stay away from you? I thought that if we never saw each other again, it would be easier than this. I could simply see you in my dreams, just miss you...”

I have tears in my eyes, the confession scene was simply wonderful.

Tinn finally breaks down his barriers and speaks about how he truly feels. All the love and agony he has carried for all these years spill from his eyes during the confession. And Phob didn't stand a chance of just letting it go after all that...

Even though I'm certain this episode was the calm before the storm, I can't help but enjoy the good moments it brought, they finally found a place where they can express their love freely and be happy the way it should have always been. That is, if we don't talk about the elephant in the room... Phob lives in a dichotomy: experiencing the best moment of his life with the person he loves while keeping a secret that could change everything—his relationship and the country's future—not to mention Tinn's father, who seems to be constantly on the verge of ruining everything all over again.

Yes, don’t let these people mistreat you and think they are superior, teach Chat a lesson, terrorize Thin’s father
