Point of Perspective

If my ego was a muscle, it would of been in huge agony suffered from some physical trauma this weekend. When my ego takes a hit like that, it usually creates a self-inflicting barrier around my heart and engages in multiple blows to it. Which causes it to hurt throughout my day, making my day a really hard day to take in.

My ego took this blow or engaged in this self-destruction cycle because of my “profound” evaluation of being influential. If being apart of other people’s life have any positive or negative reaction, or in this case, if it only has negative reaction.

Let me paint a picture, a vibrant garden that lays upon a hill where the sun hits it at the perfect angle across the horizon completely losing color, smell, and life at the touch of my bare fingertip. Something out of a Disney movie, when the evil witches seem to turn light into darkness with their sinister plans.

We all love roses or we admire the subtle beauty and liveliness that a garden can have, especially through the lens of a DSLR or a couple clicks that photoshop can create. So these picture-perfect roses or gardens can take a couple of breaths of admiration from the common man. Yes, admiring and beautiful enough to create abstract ideals of innocence and hope.

All that beauty tarnished by negativity.

Now all that rests is dead, immobile, stagnant, lifeless; what snorting a kilo of coke should feel like for those 30 secs before you die.

And somehow, your touch caused all of that. It's dead and gone, and I am to blame.

More or less, the traumatic hit my ego took this weekend. Just wonder how my life will bounce back from this. It did have me take a step back, don’t know if minor or major, I guess only time will tell …
