Ferret Mishap ⇸ Leon Kennedy

Summary: Somehow Rajah the Ferret got out of the Kennedy’s house and wound up in the neighbors backyard, Elodi’s gotta fetch him before her dad gets home.

Pairings: RE9 Dad!Leon Kennedy x Daughter!OC (Not incest, I don't fuck with that shit!)

Warnings: Fluff, missing pet, cursing, damn near heart attack.

“Where are you? Where are you?” Theo scatters away when clothes were tossed across the floor. His green eyes scan the scene of his owner Elodi Kennedy searching through her drawers and bed for her missing ferret Rajah.

“You’re not hiding in my drawer or dad’s room nor his underwear drawers.” She taps her feet in annoyance. She growls and head out her room, “Your ass better be outside!” She open and slams the back door.

She searched through the yard, walking up to the neighbor’s backyard where she spotted a familiar white blur in the yard. “Are you fucking serious right now?” She mutters. “Rajah! Get your ass back over here!”

The ferret practically bounces up towards the fence, sticking his head out. “How did you even get over there? You’re too fat!” She pet his nose. “Oh God, Rajah. Of course they’re not even home and now I gotta wait and I don’t know when dad comes home!” She rants. “Why you gotta make this shit complicated? You’re so lucky their dogs aren’t here right now!”

She taps her thumb against the fence, trying to think of a plan that doesn’t involve getting arrested or in trouble. So far? None.

She let out a sigh. “Fuck it!” She put on foot on the border and hoist herself to the other side with ease.

“Okay you stay right there.” She tells her pet. “Don’t you fucking move—no Rajah!”

And just like that; her ferret took off from the small crack in the gate with Elodi chasing him. Already annoyed, tired and no caffeine in her system.

“When we get home your ass is getting in that cage and stay there. You’re grounded!” Eldon reprimand, her chest heaving from chasing the ferret through the neighborhood.

Luck was on her side when Rajah tried to get into another yard and she managed to catch him in the act.

Now she held the ferret close to her chest while walking back home. Out of breath, her hair all over the place and in dire need of a drink.

Her feet stops when she saw a Porsche parked at the driveway, she knew that car anywhere.

“No! He’s supposed to be home hours later!” She groans out. She check her phone for the time. 2:21 pm.

Leon’s usually out either around five or later. Why’s he home so early?

Slowly she turn the knob and step in, her father stood in the kitchen. Chasing from his usual tactical wear to some comfortable shirt and pajama pants, laser focused on making early dinner.

His light blue eyes met his ragged daughter who looked she came back from a bull stampede. “You look like you went through hell.” He joke.

She stepped fully into the foyer, holding up Rajah like a kid showing her new toy. “This..little fucker—“

“What your language.”

“—has been missing for hours!” She finished.

Leon’s brows furrowed, his hands stop cutting the carrots. “Wh-what do you mean by that?” He questioned. “I made sure he’s fully locked up when you were asleep and before I went to work.”

“He slid through them, Dad!” She exasperated. “I open my window to let the summer air in while cleaning my room so I’m thinking that’s how he got out!” She explain. “I searched the entire house, looking for him and calling out for him! “Rajah! Oh Rajah!” Only to find him outside the neighbor’s backyard!”

Leon leans one hand on the counter while one place on his hip. “So, what happened next? Did you wait for the neighbor’s to come home?”

His daughter gave him a look that read: “Did it look like I did?”

He sighs and rubs his nose bridge. “You should’ve waited, El. What happen of you got in trouble with them?”

She snorts while holding onto the ferret. “They’ll be fine! Their security cameras were off.”

Why Simon "Ghost" Riley isn't Dark Romance coded? Since you guys like my Winter Soldier one, I feel like doing our favorite iconic British Special Forces operator.

Since my Winter Soldier dark romance rant blew up *coughs* 19 notes, I thought we go ahead and do Ghost because...he ain't safe from dark romance TikTok as well.

Anyways similar to my Winter Soldier rant, many see Simon as as dark romance coded. And I'm going to tell you why he isn't dark romance coded, my apology if I get shit wrong—I don't play Call of Duty my boyfriend does so I'm getting my information from both the og and reboot of Ghost's wiki fandom and youtube.

Reason #1: His tragic backstory.

Even though not much is known about reboot Ghost's backstory so I'm going to assume it's the same backstory like og's Ghost.

Ghost's backstory is tragic; from his father being heartless via dangerous animals back to their home and taunted him with them, even going so far as to force Simon to kiss a snake. When he and his younger brother Tommy grew older, Tommy would always wear a skull-mask at night to scare Simon. Simon's father would sometimes take him to the Bone Lickers concerts. At one concert, his father made him laugh at the death of a prostitute who had overdosed on drugs.

Reason #2: Victim of Sa.

In the comics, Simon was pulled from shipping out for an operation in Iran and was attached to an American team tasked with taking down the Zaragoza Drug Cartel headed by Manuel Roba.

When he and his team made their move on Día de los Muertos, the team's commanding officer, Major Vernon, betrayed them to the enemy. Riley and his teammates were brought to a brainwashing facility and tortured for months.

During his captivity; he was subjected to sexual assault numerous times during captivity. Despite fixating on it, ghost refused to acknowledge the blood for what it meant at first. mostly because he’s been in that position himself. he has been both captive and survivor, and seeing that blood for what it really is, is seeing the part of himself he’s running from and can’t kill no matter how fast he runs or how deep he buries it.

Reason #3: I don't see it lol.

I just don't see it bruh. XD I don't see how he's dark romance coded after reading his backstory. Is it his accent? He's mysterious? His skull mask? His height? Someone tell me!

Reason #4: He's a soldier & victim.

At the end of it all; Simon is a soldier, a lieutenant and a victim. I don't think it's cool for dark romance girls to fetishes a victim of sa to basically stalk them and be possessive.

You need therapy and time off of Booktok.
