pat is actually one of my only real, genuine ivywood natives. go figure. the guy was born and raised here, the youngest of three, and he’s always very much been the baby of the family. he’s playful, silly, loves a good joke, and absolutely fears growing up in any sort of fashion. he always loved music but preferred the technical aspects, which is how he ended up studying and pursuing a career in sound engineering.

he loves working with the band and travelling around, and he’s a ridiculously huge flirt (with everyone) even though he doesn’t really mean anything by it? like, you can tell if he’s trying to pursue you or if he’s just being a muppet for dramatic effect. he also has a deathly fear of clowns so have fun with that one.

nev (always nev, never neville) is kind of my bb so i apologise for the sheer amount of rambling here, but also tw for suicide/death/alcoholism/drug use.

so nev is the 5th oldest of the jackson clan, although sometimes he feels weirdly older. (that could be the job talking, though). he was always close to elliot in particular, simply due to their extremely close ages, but he was a somewhat anxious and nervous child who tried to keep to himself because he didn’t entirely understand the social cues from everyone and frankly all those people were super overwhelming. (honestly i think he’s autistic but it won’t have been diagnosed, mostly because i’m only just figuring out that about him myself!). he tried at first to do what people wanted, but as he got older, he started pushing people away instead by being angry, sarcastic and just generally unpleasant. 

 this changed a little bit when their father killed himself.  their mother had never really been around and when she left, nev hadn’t really been too fussed about it. he just thought she was a bitch. but when he came home from school one day, looking for his sick brother and instead found his dad dead on the ground and his freaking out brother in the closet? yeah, it was a pretty bad time. nev never really dealt with that particular event, mostly because his focus became making sure elliot was okay. he’s... never really stopped doing that. there was a brief period in his late teens when he tried to make everyone just leave him alone and go away, but it didn’t work out, so instead he reverted to pretending like he didn’t care when actually he cared a whole lot about everyone. 

when elliot’s band formed and elliot asked nev to be their manager, he wasn’t really sure about it, but he had a hard time saying no to elliot and so he started... and never stopped. it wasn’t his plan for his life but truthfully, he doesn’t really know what else he’d do except maybe work with his best friend, millie, at her bakery. it was in the earlier years of working with the band that nev started turning to alcohol, however, as a coping mechanism. when the stress got to him, he found it numbed his senses enough to carry on, and sure, it made him more of an asshole, but at least he could cope. it would cause a lot of problems between himself and elliot, but he managed to keep it a bit of a secret from the rest of his family for the most part. he’d eventually manage to get off the bottle, but he’s had several relapses since then, the most recent being yesterday. 

he’s only ever had one proper relationship before (which he mostly kept secret from everyone; to this day, elliot and dao think he was just fucking around), but he’s about to start dating the band photographer, sawyer.

she has no memories because i’m not fully caught up on stranger things yet but i kind of love her okay. she’s the older sister of mike wheeler and general investigative badass. paranormal shit is going down? nancy is your girl. when she remembers, anyway.

she’s very curious and takes things to heart very well, but she’s no pushover. you can’t tell her not to follow her heart or her instincts, and she will find a way to get to the bottom of things. this town’s magic isn’t enough to keep her from figuring things out and finding her way back to her family.

mike is one of the losers, the kids who banished it once, and then killed it when they were adults. he’s mostly based on the modern movies, but he doesn’t remember anything after the other losers leaving town, so he doesn’t remember the actual death of pennywise, or that he kept secrets from everyone (although richie has updated him).

had a huge crush on like, every single male loser because he’s painfully gay, but he was already the weird black kid whose parents had died, so he kept that very much to himself his whole life. he didn’t need any other reasons to get bullied or abandoned.

lorcan scamander, the elder of the scamander siblings, is every bit his mother’s son and he absolutely loves it that way. he’s not quite as daydream-y as his mother can be, but he’s very socially unaware and just wants everyone to be happy. he’s also ridiculously into his healing crystals and animal care, so like, be aware. 

he’s dating lily luna potter at the moment, which will be interesting because their parents are currently seeing each other too. oops? but he’s generally just a very chill person and would like to see everyone be polite and friendly to each other, please and thanks.

loki laufeyson, god of mischief, without his memories. what trouble could they possibly cause like this? actually, not that many. loki is currently working as a therapist in ivywood after moving there from the uk, driven by his own deep seated need to understand and come to terms with his own parental issues and needs for validation. at least they’re self aware about it.

sometimes though, loki gets an urge to just... you know. poke someone. poke something. a part of them is thriving off the chaos that’s happening in town and loki doesn’t understand it, even if they don’t want to see anyone hurt in the process. but isn’t it all a little bit fun? all this madness? all this strangeness? it’s...exciting.

it’s little john, as in little john from disney’s robin hood. a mischievous, entertaining, fiercely loyal individual who would do just about anything to protect the people in his life. he was brought in with no memories by the emerson parents, years ago, and settled into life in ivywood with no issues, marrying, settling and having a daughter, maggie. he’s also godfather to hadley, robin’s kid, and is still close to them.

in recent years, though, he’s been dreaming about talking animals and stealing from the rich to give to the poor. it’s... it’s disturbing if nothing else. but he’s going to figure out what they mean and why he’s having them.

jesse fisher is the older brother to scotty fisher, and they’ve been on the run for an awfully long time. around ten years ago, jesse and scotty’s father got into an argument with an officer over bullies hassling scotty, and the officer shot and killed their father. jesse tried to disarm the cop, but accidentally killed him in the process. almost immediately, the two went on the run and eventually settled down in ivywood.

as a result, he’s a very closed off and secretive individual who is just trying to protect his family as best he can. the only person he’s let close in recent years is ursula, but he’s extremely paranoid about why people might be interested in them, and he’s kind of jumpy.

meet hugo granger-weasley, youngest child of ron and hermione. he’s a little bit sarcastic, a little bit mischievous, and a whole lot of too intelligent for his own damn good. he’s very much a momma’s boy, and he took his parents divorcing real hard (even staying with harry and ginny for almost a year until he got around to accepting how much happier his parents are). he’s a very friendly and ridiculous person to be around, and has no real sense of propriety.

he had all his memories when he arrived in ivywood, but the latest wipe has fucked him over completely and now he thinks he’s just here, studying medicine, with no idea about his friends or family and their real presence. at least it’s a peaceful life?

heather has lived in ivywood pretty much all her life. she’s never been the bravest or boldest of girls, but that’s not because she’s timid. she’s just always been very focused on the things and people that matter to her, and often lives in her own almost daydream-y world. she’s likely to compare herself to luna lovegood in some respects, which is even more amusing now because... well.

she absolutely adores her job at poet’s garden, and likes to give her friends and loved ones messages in flower language. she also does her best to code it into bouquets for clients, but sometimes those messages can be a bit weird, given their requests. it just doesn’t always work.

originally from turkey, hasan and his family moved to ivywood when he was ten, and he found it rather difficult to fit in at first. people thought he was weird, firstly because of his accent, and secondly because he just didn’t really get people. he loves very, very fiercely, but he also says the wrong thing a lot of the time; he’s a creature of logic and finds emotions a bit of a strange thing, often confusing even his own ones.

he somehow ended up being accepted by lennox, ivy and lilac, three people he now thoroughly devotes himself to. it’s why when he was asked to partake in the magic that trapped everyone in ivywood, he didn’t hesitate, and continues to do anything he thinks that would help them out or please them. he’s also curious about how the magic works, and sees the whole thing as a giant social experiment, meaning he’s willing to do some of the more questionable parts (like resetting people’s memories) with very little hesitation.

meet harry, the chosen one, mr potter himself. if you don’t know his story, uh, ask me when his muse page is updated because it’s loooong.

he currently has a lot of his memories missing, however. he’s been in town for a while, keeping his head down because he hasn’t been able to figure out why he’s stuck here or who blasted his memories away, but he knows he’s a wizard, he remembers the faces of people he trusted (even if he doesn’t fully remember everything), and he remembers defeating voldemort. a lot of the stuff later in his life is extremely fuzzy, and he doesn’t remember his own kids or marrying ginny (although he does remember one teddy lupin, even if he was just a baby in his memories). he divorced ginny when the kids were at hogwarts, but they’ve always been very close regardless and continued living together when she was home.

gary is from are you afraid of the dark, and thoroughly enjoyed all the storytelling and things that went with being part of the society. he loves horror stories, of spooking people, which is how he ended up becoming a writer. he's generally a very nice person, if a little enthusiastic about his work, and extremely inquisitive. dangerously so sometimes.

he's married to his childhood sweetheart, sam, and is very happy working alongside her too. they've written some of their best stuff together, even if he can't remember any of it right now, and he absolutely adores her.

this is dao. she’s kind of the mum figure of the band, a fact she thinks is hilarious because she never saw herself as a motherly kind of person. she’s always been a little bit off the rails, not gotten along very well with her family… and yet somehow she’s adopted this lot. alright.

she’s currently dating natalie jackson (and is planning on proposing, but she keeps freaking out and chickening out of it because of her history with family relations), but she used to be something of a heart breaker so she’s probably got a few exes laying around here and there.

meet clint barton. he’s mostly based on the movies with a few nods to the comics here and there, and he’s an utterly useless bastard at the best of times. he has no memories of his past at the moment (except those he’s gained over meeting familiar faces) and basically thinks he’s a lonely gym teacher.

he has a deep fondness for pizza, dogs, and sarcastic commentary. he’s also partially deaf and is fluent in sign language, and can and will use this if he doesn’t want to talk to you. yes, he knows that’s not how it works, but other people don’t always get it, and it’s a lot less awkward than going “okay, bored now, bye”.

meet bucky barnes. he’s mostly based on the movies rather than the comics. and at the moment he’s utterly clueless about it all and thinks he’s a military veteran who lost a limb on tour.

he’s pretty much a loner most of the time, but he does want more social interaction. he’s just forgotten how to people over the years, and those skills haven’t entirely come back just yet. he desperately needs some friends and maybe a love interest, if anyone’s about it. also, his therapist is loki for his ptsd. it’s an interesting combination.
