Faceted Heart

The blonde groaned as she heard him call back into the room, rolling over as she did. She did remember, but she also remembered taking far too many celebratory shots for her small stature. “I’ll be right there!” It took the blonde about ten minutes to wash her face and grab some clothes, walking out into the kitchen, pulling her cardigan around her as she did so. “You know, if you were nice you’d take me with you instead of making me get up early to help you pack.” she teased, grabbing a mug and pouring herself a cup of coffee before loading it with cream and sugar. “You’re lucky I’m so nice.” she added with a small smirk. 

Dylan didn’t realize how much they’d drank, he lost count but he was lucky in the fact he didn’t really get headaches which was a plus. “You know that I would love to take you with me Ella but I can’t. At least not on this one. Now if you were my wife it would be totally different but friends on jobs are tricky and have to go through arrangements. Plus, you help me because you don’t want me to look horrible and you know if I’m left to it I will. Oh, speaking of going with me, there’s a new resort opening in Hawaii in January, I can probably get you permission to come with me then if you want? Beaches, bikini’s and cocktails sounds more your speed.”

Jack let out a small huff of a sound at her words, his hazel eyes darting down for a moment before he looked back at them. “I didn’t think anything, that’s why I asked.” he answered, his own snark mimicking theirs. He was just trying to be a decent person, they didn’t need to go all terminator on him. “I have no doubt you can. I just didn’t want it on my conscious when I read online tomorrow morning that a fairy was killed in the woods.” he stated, his shoulders shrugging slightly. “Plus its freezing. Don’t exactly wanna read a hypothermia obit either.”

Baby wasn’t used to people being nice to them, someone always usually wanted something out of the situation and Baby couldn’t really bring themselves to trust anyone. They’d learned better after the one New Years party when they had been assaulted. “Ah, so you want to be a champion,” they said, shrugging their shoulders. They really should be nicer though to others, so they figured they would try. “Fine, I’ll take your jacket and let you tag along to my apartment so you don’t have to worry if I’m going to die. Does that appease you?”

Her brow furrowed when Ariel let out a chuckle when London admitted her predicament. Honestly, that wasn’t the reaction the brunette had been expecting - maybe annoyance that London had rung her over for such a silly thing. But the hamster was adorable, and her roommate’s pride and joy, and London needed to find him. “The couch?” The brunette echoed, glancing over to their second hand sofa. “I —I didn’t think of that.” Honestly, London loved animals, but she wasn’t very practical when it came to taking care of them – obviously. 

Ariel couldn’t help but find the situation at hand funny. A lost hamster. She still couldn’t believe that London called her over for that but it was better than the alternative of what it could have been about. “Okay, come on, the couch is usually the first place I look for a lost rodent because of why I said but if it’s not in there then I think the closets is the next best bet. How are things otherwise? Life and all that?”

Maria was glad that Shock was so eager to help her because she knew the others in the coven would try and prevent it from even happening. Which was why she made the girl meet her in the woods far from their grounds. “I do. It’s in my bag.”

Shock really didn’t care about the coven, in fact she had a feeling that sooner or later she’d wind up killing them all in one fail swoop anyway. “At least you thought this through,” she said while she moved and dug through Maria’s bag. “Since this was your idea, you lead the spell.”
