This week's Friday Frills is another red Worth evening dress, this time from 1883. It was made of silk damask, satin, and taffeta and decorated with glass beads, metallic yarn, silk fringe, & lace. Absolutely gorgeous as you can see from the close ups!

Here is this week's very very late FridayFrills. Although I didn't see this in person, the Chicago Museum's exhibition catalog shows this 1911 Callot Soeurs evening dress. This purple silk gown is decorated with sequins embroidered into various patterns. Many wealthy Americans bought from the Callot Souers both in France and through their exported fashions to the States.
