I learned in my theology class that apparently a gamete is considered a human "at conception" (which basically means when they VEERRRYY first happen) and in that case, when the sperm fertilizes the egg. The logic behind "abortion is murder", at least according to some, is that it is a human, and just because it's still developing, you can't get rid of it because that falls under the fifth commandment "thou shall not kill". Unconditionally. However, Christianity is infamously also rooted in misogyny, not only through its followers, but even IN THE BIBLE. We get little to no testaments from prophets/disciples/etc who are women, priests can only be male because all of the apostles were male (what???), and more cases I don't remember, but there's so many examples in the Bible itself that I feel like the logic that abortion kills a baby makes sense, but is also rooted in malice, so it shouldn't be treated as seriously as it is. It's like if I threw a ball at someone's face because there was a fly on it, but I also secretly hate them.
