Hi, human with a yo-kai watch here.
I've been trying to be friends with this yo-kai for awhile now to get their medal. I've bought them $500+ Dinners, got them every kind of their favorite food, and I even managed to get them tickets to the Ambrosia Pavilion, first class and all! I've given all my pocket change to them, flew them over to BBQ and back to Springdale and helped them meet their idol! And they still won't give me their medal!
I just don't understand⦠What else can I do to convince this E-rank yo-kai to give me their medal?

My days, son (gender neutral), you've done everything! And they're only E-rank?? Us lower ranks'd be absolutely honored to have allat done fer li'l ol' us! Normally it's the higher-ranks that get treatment like that. I'unno what you're doin' wrong...didja have an attitude or sum'n?
From the looks of it, correct me if I'm mistaken, you never really got to know the yo-kai. All you've done for them is very generous and I'm sure they appreciate it, but...what have you learned about them? What have they learned about you? Personally, I mean.
What? Most yo-kai don't care 'bout things like that, they'll give their medal to anyone who pampers 'em well enough.
This could be a special caseβa yo-kai who only gives their medal to those they consider a real friend. In truth, I'm surprised they didn't give you their medal from the pressure of being given all these things and feeling a need to repay you.
Yeouch, when ya put it like that, it sounds like they shot themselves in both feetβlost a ton o' money and prolly put a bad taste in the yo-kai's mouth.
I suppose I can't blame them. As you said, most yo-kai will give their medal to anyone who showers them in gifts. But remember, yo-kai are as diverse in every way as humans are. Some are more...materialistic than others.
