when they played falling on deaf ears, donovan and i both had our hands up squeezing to the beat of the drum when it got to the line “what makes a heart beat?” and he looked right at meVEHEHEHHEHEHE

anyway, they don’t have a crew so they have to set up and tear down their sets themselves, so after their set they didn’t throw anything out to the crowd they just immediately started breaking down the equipment. donavan had said that they would be heading out near the merch tables and stuff so i went straight there. i waited a while and didn’t see them so i started to head back by my aunt and i passed allen (the drummer). we made eye contact and kept walking and then both whipped back around at the same time and he was like, “WERE YOU IN THE FRONT?!” and i was like “YEA!!!!!” and he pulls out a drumstick from his back pocket and tells me he wants me to have it. i was so in shock i was like “are you serious?” and we hugged and he told me how right when they were done pulling stuff to the back he grabbed a drumstick and went out to try and meet me but i wasn’t there anymore, so he took a chance and went to see if i was at the merch stands and i WAS. he told me he was searching for me and i was awesome. he asked if i had a marker but i didnt. luckily since we were by merch and the other artists that played were there signing stuff, they (dark divine) let us borrow a sharpie and he signed it for me and put the little hts emblem. it was perfect and i still cant stop shaking. i started crying and i could barely talk

when i was walking back to my aunt i passed my friend without knowing and he grabbed onto my shirt and yanked me back and the first words i said were “I GOT A DRUMSTUCIKVKKKKK”

that made my entire night it was such a once in a lifetime experience i still can’t believe it happened

i got to see them live a few nights ago. got to meet them and everything. GOT CHOKED BY SPENCER CHARNASSSSS. for anyone wondering, he actually does literally choke you. i was a little lightheaded, although that was probably from panicking so much. i gave him a poster of a piece i did for him. it was packed with lore references and a drawing of him all chopped into pieces, which he loved. i didn’t even have to tell him it was him!! he knew right away. he also called me dear which had me tripping over myself
