No updates on the breach that occurred yesterday at North Branch Correctional Institute. 

You think? Honestly, I should never have expected even a modicum of professionalism, so this one is probably on me.

- So, obviously, with how big a shit show this interview was, it really begs the question: Why did Andrew go through with it? Why agree to be interviewed by someone as notoriously terrible as Kathy Ferdinand? Others have already asked Andrew about it on the Red Rabbits page, and Andrew’s response says so much. He did the interview in order to get something in return. So that leads to the question, “What’s important enough for Andrew to put himself through being interviewed by Kathy Ferdinand?” And, considering he says he’d do it again for the same results, “What’s so important that Andrew would not regret being ambushed by Riko Moriyama?” But we’ll come back to that.

- It’s good to know that all of the leads mentioned on the timeline RR put out are, indeed, confirmed. I’ve been thinking of them as “supposed” leads, but I guess I don’t have to anymore. I figured they were credible since the RR team used them, but I appreciate Andrew’s confirmation.

- Just a note of the Maserati thing: I mentioned in one of my last posts that it was good Andrew was being transparent about this, but that was in the audio notes. For him to mention it in the podcast itself is even better. It shows that he isn’t trying to hide anything from listeners–the more dedicated ones who keep up with all the audio notes and extra content and the more casual ones who just listen to the podcast itself.

- I’m not going to lie, I hadn’t even considered where the reporters and the local PD got the names Mary and Nathaniel Abrams. It hadn’t occurred to me at all that might have been a third party involved. This is exactly why I’m not the investigative journalist and am just an editor. But I agree with Andrew–Mary certainly would not have chosen those names herself. Considering the effort she’s put into hiding their trail prior to and after this, using those names is just way too obvious. The other thing here is that whoever it was that called them in was careful to not use the Wesninski name. Whoever was looking for them didn’t want to draw attention to Nathan, even in 2002 before his case blew up. But they want Mary and Nathaniel found.

- Clearly, then, someone knew they were in Port St. Lucie and that they went to Parkland. Which means they probably knew about Orlando and, maybe, Key West as well. How close were Mary and Nathaniel to being caught? 

- We have confirmation that the shop they went to was working in forgery, so they were definitely trying to get fake papers. And Mary was looking to buy hair dye, too (which, Andrew said she was “trying” to buy hair dye–would they not let her? Why not?). That makes sense, since apparently the people looking for them were using Nathaniel’s appearance specifically to find them, as demonstrated by the reporter Andrew and Renee talked to.

- Something I’m curious about, though–if someone else gave the Abrams name, what name did Mary use for the car rental? There’s obviously a report concerning that transaction, so why don’t we know the name associated with it?

- Just a small observation, I think it’s interesting that Allison thinks Mary looked “insane” but Andrew thinks she looked “terrified.” It shows a lot of empathy on Andrew’s part.

And then I hear, that trash had was addressed to me. 

I am disgusted.
