so many people ive known have pushed themselves to burnout trying to deny their disabled reality, skipping accommodations, skipping rests etc. and the world convinces them that the solution to their burnout is to push even harder. it’s a huge tragedy. i know social pressures make it tough but i want more disabled people to make things easier for themselves where possible, to opt out of things that harm them when possible, to quit while they’re ahead. be that person today! protect yourself where you can! take micro breaks while doing your hobby. get that shower chair. sit to brush your teeth. lie down in the middle of the day, even if only for 5 mins. these things add up and it’s so worth it.

Listen. Listen. If you're thinking I like bottom surgery option except x thing. Chances are you can either not do or actually do x thing. Especially if you've not actually done research into it. Look into your options before you decide x thing has to be true.
It might make healing harder or be more difficult to find a surgeon who is willing to do so, but most of the time x thing isn't actually a hard and fast element.
The rampant fearmongering and derision directed towards bottom surgery by cis society is a problem.
But the trans community itself also has a huge problem with misinformation and lack of education regarding the topic. And that people hear things and then repeat it themselves without looking into whether or not it is true.
Please. If you think you might want bottom surgery just look into it. Also do it even if you don't. Learning new things especially things you could use to be better informed about your community is a good thing. And please, actually learn about the topic before you speak on it.
Phallo.net and metoidioplasty.net are good starting points for phallo and meta. (The subreddits are also a good resource for more indepth information although do require you to have read up on bottom surgery 101 type information.)
I don't know what the go to resources are regarding vaginoplasty and the like so if there's a better resource feel free to drop a link. A quick search for shows this reddit wiki page which seems like as good a place as any to start learning.

i still dont know exactly how much were gonna be in the hole but it was 200 fuckin dollars just to get it towed to a dealership. apparently there was a safety recall on a part and they found that part sticking thru the roof of the engine so theres good odds theyll replace the engine for less than uh. the 5k we were quoted. im really really banking on that bc that is like.........all of our savings LMAO. haha. if i dont laugh ill cry
and also we only have the one car. lol. at least on the plus side im supposed to be in pittsburgh all next week and i get to tool around in a company car. but ubering to work is so fucking expensiveeee aaaggguuhhhh
