I don't envy those who have to judge what 1% battery looks like on iPhone 3G without the percentage shown, that red bar certainly doesn't look like 1% to me!

Found: ios5 maps application now shows several routes. Forgive me if this has been part of iOS for a while and I haven't realised.

I have noticed lately that there is an increasing trend for iPad exclusive apps to now have an iPhone version, the latest being 4oD. There is already itv player and hopefully soon BBC's iPlayer service. These are the Apps I used to love on my iPad when I travelled home for the weekend but now I can watch TV on demand right on my pocketable iPhone. I think it's reasonable to say it would be comfortable to watch up to an hour long program (40 minutes without adverts) on a 3.5 inch screen and hopefully with iPhone 5 that will improve.

Today it was ruled ahead of schedule that Samsung Galaxy S, SII and Ace smartphones must not be sold as of October 13th in some EU countries due to an infringement of how Apple implements swiping between photos.

I'm probably late with this one but the Facebook app for iOS now has a landscape homescreen!

Finally a custom keyboard shortcut will work after punctuation. Made the feature useless unless you are one of those people who don't use full stops at the end of sentences. My favourite use is using xc as a shortcut for 10 kisses to the girlfriend.

iOS 5 Beta 6 already has a bug - those two buttons look a bit too high don't they?
