Everybody Was Jom Fru Fighting

The Lovers: Tyr and Surfetta. I actually sort of think the Jomfru brothers fit here if you're interpreting "love" broadly, but there's no way that wouldn't get misinterpreted, so let's go with arguably the only even temporarily nice romantic partnership in the show. The Chariot: Roy Cornickelson. Less a direct victorious force than a sort of central figure to Dethklok's Earthly victory as a band. Strength: Edgar Jomfru. Mainly in the card's sense of fortitude and self-control, but does happen to be a notably physically strong guy. The Hermit: Ishnifus Meaddle. I think I just have to be literal and put the show's canonical hermetic figure here. Wheel of Fortune: Doctor Rockzo: Alas the inevitable rise and fall of man, and all that. Justice: General Crozier. Again being fairly literal here. The Hanged Man: Magnus Hammersmith. A weird one because Magnus is basically defined by the fact that he won't be freed by letting go, but the fact that his glaring, fatal flaw is his refusal to do so connects him to the card to me. Death: Murderface. A bit like Magnus, I put Murderface here because I think he's largely defined by his refusal to accept and move past the inevitability of his own failure, but AotD also gives us a symbolic death and renewal that makes this card feel particularly right. The card's isolation from the rest of the band in the deck order seems fitting as well. Temperance: John Twinkletits. Let's just ignore his past of violent obsessive excess or say that's symbolic of like, one foot being in water (madness) and one on land (sanity) in the Waite-Smith deck or something, lalalala. The Devil: Salacia. Largely self-explanatory, forces of corruption and temptation, a half-man who binds characters to his will through their own weakness, etc. etc. The Tower: Metal-Masked Assassin. I could come up with reasons but it's honestly not deeper than sometimes you gotta put the scary man on the scary card. The Star: Abigail. The "hope and positivity" angle is mainly drawn from her characterization in Doomstar Requiem, but arguably she's an inspirational force for the band as well. The Moon: Liz Bane. I'm going with the Moon as "mysterious spooky card" here because I have an unreasonable love for Liz Bane and wish I saw more of her in fanworks. The Sun: Keith (aka The Dethklok Minute Guy). Probably the assignment I'm least satisfied with; I really struggled with this one because there are just so few unqualifiedly positive characters in this show, and Keith earned it through his sheer relentless exuberance. Judgement: The Whale Prophet. A literal force of judgment for Salacia, a metaphorical force of awakening and reckoning for everyone else. The World: Those Mysterious Planets. I'm sure I could find a way to explain this if I needed to, wholeness of the band or something, I don't know. But... c'mon, they're planets, worlds, they're in the show. Just give me this one.
