Yea, definitely needed to be addressed sooner than the movie. It also feels like, when toki is made to be more childish, all of the other characters are more childish too. This CAN be funny, I actually think the scene in the movie where theyre all acting like kids in church is super funny. It just.. cant be all the time.

There is a HINT of something interesting here.. again, in the movie, skwisgaar has a SINGLE one off line about how toki isnt good at guitar anymore. It would be interesting to explore how much toki’s recent trauma has fucked him up to the point of his skills decreasing.. but, its never brought up again… and the movie is about nathan’s trauma (..why?????) and murderface’s trauma (which is the one we wanted)

#yes i like the IDEA of regressor toki but the problem with it is that they dont emphasize that he’s fucked up #its not acknowledged thats what he’s doing until the movie… and its still not written well #like its presented as he’s just being cute and not that he’s so messed up that he’s completely disassociated…#and of course he should have moments of clairty where he’s normal tokis #…though #isnt depicting this condition accurately what got morel orel cancelled?#anyway thats not the only thing wrong #ill make my own post maybe but GOD his whole thing with skwisgaar was ruined #once brendon small found out about yaoi

The thing with him is that hes basically pearl from steven universe but for boys. but the series hes in is mostly comedy and when it became story focused there really wasnt enough time to unpack the fact that he has nothing and is nothing so hes just nothing forever

i cannot physically get myself to re-watch anything of season 4 metalocalypse. somehow it gives me second hand embarassment. i only ever watched it once, and never touched it since. i cannot rewatch it im sorry. i love the characterization of s1/s2 and tolerate s3 at best, but s4 feels like im looking at just crude characterizations of the band and not...Dethklok, if that makes sense? I understand character development but to me it just feels like Im looking at caricatures of the band. thats just me personally, i mean, love the series and lore, don't get me wrong, but it physically pains me even thinking about s4 LMAO
