First post obvi means an intro.

I am exotic-firebird. For anonymity sake, I will not be sharing my name. I am a 28 year FTM🏳️‍⚧️. I use he/him pronouns. I have been married to my spouse for a little over a year🏳️‍🌈💍. Together we have a menagerie of fur babies🩷. I’ve got some mental health struggles. I have Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety. I have a quirky personality, but I’m the kind of person strangers talk to, kids smile at, animals come up to. Pretty easy going and laid back guy.

I am still newly (aka still pretty much in the closet) trans. I’m just looking for a place to be me and let off steam and honestly post things I want to that I can’t on my actual profile. The thoughts after gardening, random info dumping, random and/or weird thoughts, petty remarks, my path through being trans. Just a place to get the jumble of thoughts always flowing through my head.

I am a pretty big nerd😅. I’m honestly pretty smart. Like I’m a math is my favorite subject guy😂 My special interests include: Twilight, Pokemon, WWE, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Dirty Dancing, Lilo and Stitch, SpongeBob, my job (but that’s a secret 🤫), music, and probably other things I’m forgetting.

As a mostly closeted trans person, I feel this. I am for safety because I live in a red state, in the Midwest. I wish I could've known this sooner, been safe to be out fully, and live an authentic life. Repressing it at any age is hard, but for kids who are still learning how to self regulate, it's even harder. My kids will always be safe to be whoever they are in our home. Hell, any kid or person is safe to be themselves in my home as long as it's not harming themself or anyone else. P.S. Being in the LGBTQIA+ community isn't harmful to people who just "don't agree".

Taking charge at work when it isn't my responsibility changed the whole dynamic. Can't even say I'm stepping on your toes when I can say that I felt like I had to, here's what I did about it, and here were my results. Those results don't fucking lie bestie. Instead of standing back and overthinking, I looked for clarity, made a change, and took action. Just need to apply this to other areas

Being authentically the "abnormal" is freeing in a way I could never explain. The people I have met that are in the community are most often the most kind, caring people. I love my little community of gays I have around me.
