The story with EE and Jared is that he eliminated her from a debate comp when they were in HS and she's been bitter about it ever since. She says that the reason he beat her is because of his looks and his charm, not that he was better at debating than her. She's completely unhinged.
GIRL itâs 2020!!!! I donât even remember what I did in high school. The fact that she followed him around in his professional career is soooo creepy!!! WTF?! This is like next level Facebook stalking.Â
I discover the most fascinating stuff about myself by checking out the tumblr tag of my username!
The competitions my introverted ass got shoved into to get over my anxiety so utterly defined my life, that OBVIOUSLY more than half a lifetime later itâs my villain origin story?
Like, damn, totally makes sense! Whatâd I do next, Iâm invested in this story now!
Or... you could clock that I havenât watched his other shows, havenât been in the SPN fandom in years, rarely if ever even discuss him, and have a whole-ass life away from fandom.
But like, cool story yâall.
Now if you excuse me, I obviously need to go plot the demise of the kid who never returned to the library the middle book in a series I was reading. I think he might have grown up and become a parking enforcement officer, and so I must make him rue the day he crossed me.

The latest in the saga of unsolicited mail. This message about Travis Aaron Wade came in the mail to my home address today, which was disconcerting and alarming. Someone who can't even get my username right was given my full name, home address, a concocted conspiracy line, and a bad daytime drama plot understanding of how clearance works. So that they could send alarming messages that are basically more intimidation, and comments that I'm "in danger."Â
There are serious, important things going on in the world and in my life, that I've been focused on; this TAW drama would be a blip at best in the long run, except that it's escalated on me at every turn. It's exhausting, and frightening, and I'm just so damn tired of being swept into the wank.
Edit to add for context, the TAW mess so far:
Attempt to find my home address and mail to myself and my child. When the address was incorrect, the package was torn up and staged to appear as if I was the aggressor, because I would not turn the SPN Antibullying community against those speaking out against Travis.
Public discussion of me on Travisâs Facebook.
Cease and Desist (Attorney has failed to return my calls, and I feel this is a precursor to a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation, particularly given my statements are not by definition defamatory, and Travis is a public figure and the discussion is a matter of public concern)
A Storify collection of tweets from myself and others building a timeline of the harassment.
An attempt to provide a complete narrative of the allegations of harassment and inappropriate behavior against actor Travis Aaron Wade, including recent developments.
I put together a Storify of the entire TAW saga, with the aim of telling as complete a story as possible and making it accessible to a general audience not familiar with fandom. Because this information needs to be out there. Because right now, no one with the power to stop this is listening, but the louder the noise becomes, the harder it will be to ignore. Canât stop the signal.
Travis told us, as we asked him to stop, that we have no voice.
And God have we all asked him to stop; I asked it almost a year ago on our call, long before he decided I was his enemy, back when he was still trying to court my good opinion so that I would defend him.
I asked him to stop, to realize that his overblown reaction to even mild criticism was making people uncomfortable and making the situation worse.
And that's what this comes down to. Travis has made this situation worse at every step.
Even if you're disinclined to believe the stories from cons, her story never went public until he sent his friends, family and followers after her in an all-out attack. Insulting her appearance and claiming that TAW would have better taste than to prey on HER. And that was public and is still out there for everyone to see, and still ongoing.
Even if you're disinclined to believe the snapchats of him soliciting underage girls, you still watched him take two days at a fan convention and stand on stage badmouthing a teenager to thousands of other fans who then spent the weekend calling her hateful names and telling her that her user pic was too sexy, or that she called it upon herself.
Even if you're disinclined to believe every one of the dozens of women who have come forward with stories about what TAW has done, you are watching the harassment, and its aftermath, right now.
Because TAW is doing everything in his power to attack, belittle and demean the women who have come forward. He sends fans in to do it for him, he shifts blame for the behavior of his own official accounts, and he spins a tale of woe in front of an audience including fans who have been a victim in his crusade to demand only positive opinions of him. He turned an experience these girls and their friends paid for into a nightmare: the fandom equivalent of that old fear, metaphorically stripped down in front of your class as they laughed and cursed at you, unable to defend yourself.
And if you're on here defending Travis, you are defending all of that, which is perfectly visible and easily confirmed: not just questioning the stories you 'weren't there for.' Because this? This is still happening.
My personal experience with Travis Aaron Wade [Illustrated]
More people are coming forward with their experiences with Travis Aaron Wade. While Iâd made some pretty pointed subtweets, or remarked on particular situations, Iâve only recently on Twitter posted a more complete account of events from June 2015 to present. Iâve posted the following on Twitter, and am moving it here by the suggestion of other fans, so that fans can be aware and keep themselves safe within the fandom.Â
I realize that in this fandom, taking a fanâs word for things (whether you like them or not) can be difficult: weâre a contentious lot, and we do like our drama. Iâve attempted to illustrate some points that would otherwise just be my word below, so you donât have to take things on faith. Â
In short (because this gets long): Travis Aaron Wade has stalked me, harassed me, bypassed blocks to continue harassing me, attempted to get me to strong-arm other fans for him, and has crossed all personal boundaries.
I have no problem with fans: if youâre a fan of his, thatâs fine! But I ask that you all please be safe, and not be used to report back to him about other fans, enabling his behaviors.
Appending some additional evidence Iâve shared on Twitter, given that in retaliation for women speaking out against him Travis just spent two days at Purcon calling the fans who he has hasassed (myself included) liars, and crying and generally emotionally manipulating fans into attacking us.Â

Scrolling through some of the messages, in order to show these aren't just photoshopped screencaps. Short of handing you my laptop at a convention, not sure how much more clearly I could illustrate this. If you have ideas, do please let me know.
Travis opportunistically jumping into the Shatner situation on his Facebook. I wasnât even aware of this one until today, given Iâm Twitter biased. Link available here.
Iâm sure some people have read Vickiâs comments on Travisâs facebook here, as sheâs getting a great deal of sympathy for it (and theyâre deleting all dissenting opinions no matter how politely worded).Â
My issue here is that, when Travis/s account began began signing his DMs "SMM" while trying to sic me and SPN Antibullying on fans, I questioned the validity of yet another entity/individual behind Travisâs account, given hacking claims and past social media mishaps, and was told that no, NOW it was a legit business and security company, not some moms on his account, and no, they couldnât give me their name or the name of their manager or legitimate business information so I could look them up.
So this new narrative in no way fits with what I was told repeatedly by Travisâs blue checkmarked account, and the âSocial Media Managerâ account that was created when I began asking questions (more on that in the cut above.)
Look, I get it, there is a lot of wank generated in this fandom, and sometimes it seems like everyone is prepared to declare everyone elseâs faves are trash or problematic to elevate their own. That is not what is happening here. Travis Aaron Wadeâs behavior is legitimately concerning.
This isnât a conspiracy of friends. Iâm a fairly outspoken Destiel fan. Others speaking up about Travis are Wincest fans and J2 Hatters who, in other circumstances, shipwar lines alone would keep us in our own playgrounds or throwing verbal rocks at each other. Others are Swainers (no one really has a problem with the Swainers, do they? You shouldnât. Geeze) who I had never met before Travis began trying to send me after them. There are people whose social media platform is a strange alien land to the rest of us (Snapchat is weird okay?). There are former âOTWâ (Travisâs self-made fanclub) who realized how bad the situation became and reached out to people theyâd originally held as liars.
Fans of all sorts of factions, favorites, and backgrounds are coming forward, and in a fandom as divided as our own, thatâs really saying something.
You donât have to believe every story. Iâm not asking you to. Frankly, your belief or disbelief in what I am telling you as my personal experience has no bearing on the facts of the situation. But this is a lot of smoke for there to be no fire.Â
Please, stop attacking us all blindly: read the accounts and look at the evidence. Thatâs all Iâm asking.
In June 2015, Travis tweeted rather pointed comments about having fans banned from conventions for having negative opinions of him/his character. Heâd tagged Misha in, tagged J2 in, something of that nature: I donât remember being that invested, besides shaking my head at the whole mess, because Iâm generally ambivalent about Cole. However, my friends spent some time in public and private conversations with Travis explaining why that was a hot button with our side of fandom, citing what happened to me at ChiCon. Suddenly, mid-conversation with my friends in DMs, he began speaking as if he was ANOTHER person, a HACKER! Who hah hah, totally had them going! They were incredulous, and posted screencaps of it. So the âhackerâ posted Travisâs phone number, which became part of the PROOF that it was a hacker, not himself (mind you, J2M had all posted phone numbers by this time, to burner phones, to engage the fans).
Travis made this big production out of having been hacked. I was publicly skeptical, and he sent his OTW (Original T-Wadesters) PROOF that he was hacked (pictures of a police report he filled out and snapped pics of), and told them to contact all of us who were questioning the truth of that statement to PROVE to them that we were spreading misinformation. Meanwhile, he began remarking that posting DMs was illegal, trying to push people into removing the screencaps of the DMs with âhis hacker.â
Shortly thereafter, Travis began DMing me personally: he was insistent about needing to talk to me on the phone, so he could PROVE that he would NEVER make that kind of comment. He name dropped everyone he could think of, to try and get me to agree.
I gave in and created a Google Voice account so that he wouldnât have my number, and called at the time he told me to. He told me he was at a funeral for his cousin, but happy to leave to talk to me on the phone (not necessarily related to this story, but it sure struck me as odd, especially as I offered to call back at a more convenient time). The phone call was essentially 45 minutes of him telling me how great he is while namedropping, but it was more than that. He tried to go for a hard sale.
See, his claim is that Clif had HIM banned from cons, for an offhand remark he made at a convention. He went on to claim that Clif banning him from cons (he wasnât scheduled for more that I was aware of) cost him the opportunity to buy his first house, and he was so frustrated that Clif didnât just talk to him about it, and explain what he did. And so he would NEVER get someone else banned from cons. The gist was that since Clif banned HIM from cons, and ME from a con, then clearly we needed to stick together.
During the call, I told Travis that while I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on the hacking thing, I found his behavior of militarizing his fandom disconcerting. He made noises like he understood that, but heâs just so upset by how people behave, and âheâs a Marine,â as an excuse for how he feels compelled to confront.
I did not leave that call with the impression that he would be changing, but I had friends who were closer to TAW, and who encouraged me to give him another chance. I generally wrote him off and was content to ignore him, if he wasnât threatening fans.
His behavior continued over several other situations; he would make a bad social media decision (such as claiming he understood systemic racism after the South Carolina church shooting because he was bullied by fans in the SPN fandom, that simple exercise was the answer to mental health issues, or declaring in a fandom interview about his behavior that we all âneeded to come together, you know, like they did after the Towers fell on 9/11â), and fans would recoil and indicate that he wasnât something he should say, and he would either claim it was someone else manning his account (a fan, two single moms he hired, a social media company, a hacker, etc.) or that the fans were being hateful.
Then he purportedly sexually harassed a girl at a convention. I don't know the truth of this or not, but I know that SHE was not the one to make it public. She reached out to Creation, he found out from Creation, and then he started a smear campaign against her. He began harassing her, sent his followers and his family after her. Like before with the police report, he snapped pictures of letters PROVING that there was actually a CONSPIRACY to get him kicked out of conventions, with her at the center of it, and sent that out as PROOF to fans, who were then to lecture the fandom (sent to me via other fans by DM, and also sent to SPNAB by TAW himself).
When the fandom didnât lionize him and dismiss her, Travis began screencapping and reporting the girl and her friends to SPN Antibullying, because someone told him the community had a track record of getting accounts shut down.Â
When we did not immediately act in his favor, he began speaking in the third person and reported her again. Now calling himself (on his blue checkmark account) "SMM," playing his own Social Media Manager, he continued to attempt to target the girl whoâd accused Travis of inappropriate behavior.
When we did not immediately respond, he/they found an old article that showed that I was a moderator there, and began addressing SPNAB as ME. I requested that he not use a community account as a personal inbox to bypass my blocking him. His âSocial Media Managerâ made a new account and began DMing.
He/They began claiming that I was hateful towards him, that I supported her, etc. He came up with a list of people who he's blocked for 'hate' that I follow (many of them just⌠fans. Fans who disliked Cole, or doubted Travisâs story, or expressed sympathy for the girl), and said that the people I follow reflect on me, and so my involvement invalidated the whole community. He/They continually reported her for things that are not reportable (one of her friends made a meme, use of nicknames he disapproved of, etc). Examples of the tweets sent below (blurred names myself, caps were sent as reports to encourage us to issue a block/report alert).
Suffice to say, these are not tagged hate, they are not threats, and they do not include hate speech. They do not fall under the mission of SPN Antibullying (if we policed snark, no one in this fandom would be allowed to speak). I recused myself from dealing with Travis as SPNAB, but he/they persisted in addressing me, so I invited him/his SMM to discuss it with me off of the SPN Antibullying list and stop attempting to use the DMs of the comm as my inbox.
I questioned the validity of yet another entity running Travisâs account, giving him an excuse to write off anything inappropriate heâd tweet as being someone elseâs doing, they became offended and unprofessional. They maintained that as they âhandle securityâ for celebrities they cannot/will not give their names, and directed us instead to Travisâs agent. When I got a domained email address as I asked for their manager and information about their âbusiness,â I found that it was a domain registered the day I began asking for information, and updated to add an email just before it was DMed to me.
I did not drop that information publicly at that time; I disengaged and blocked both his SMM and Travis again. He began making public subtweets and private claims about me, and sending his OTW to watch me.
Recently, William Shatner was told that I was a hater, and that SPNAntibullying was run by me, and he publicly posted his reprobation. Travis opportunistically jumped in agreeing and demanding an apology. I publicly posted that, while I think Shatnerâs being misled, I was wary of Travis all on his own and had documentation to back my wariness going back all the way to the transcript and recording of our initial phone call. SPNAntibullying apologized that they were unable to help them, but he felt -I- owed him an apology.
He/They wanted an apology for claiming his SMM werenât SMM (this is coming FROM the SocMedMgmt âcompanyâ Twitter in DMs) and that I didnât tweet his panel at HousCon and instead was hateful, by not calling out everyone who responded to me saying I was nervous that in his zeal to call people who heâd talked to on the phone or heard about from his OTW up onto the stage and make them part of his stage show, that heâd hear I was there.
Additionally Travis/His âSMMâ were displeased that I had a recording.
So, I unblocked his âsocial media managerâ again and contacted them, asking them to please leave me out of it. I pointed out that I have from June 2015 through now worth of thorough documentation of his behaviors to justify my wariness, but all I wanted was for him to leave me alone. (I also explained that as I live in a one-party state, recording the call was entirely legal, and as he prefers to hop to deniable forms of communication so he can rewrite the narrative, I felt safer having that conversation at hand to refer to).
I blocked again.Â
Instead of moving on, he (his blue checkmark account, again) contacted SPN Antibullying the next week with pictures of a package that he purportedly sent me full of letters and pictures and notes about my seven year old daughter, that I purportedly ripped apart and sent back, as proof of my âbehavior.â I NEVER gave him my address.
He immediately followed that up with screencaps of a fan who said she didnât want to go to the SPN Family movie premier with him there, because she was afraid sheâd do something unladylike. He claimed they were âfelony terroristic threatsâ and that my refusal to act on them proved that I was just as bad.Â
At this point, we began conversing on the SPNAB account, because he insisted on addressing it as me, and I was trying to figure out what was going on with the letters. I was, to put it mildly, peeved.Â
I proved I never sent that back to him: I pointed out the Return To Sender/Undeliverable on it and demanded to know why he was trying to find out my home address. He claimed (signing as Travis, to differentiate himself from SMM) that it arrived back at his office that way after he sent it to me out of the goodness of his heart despite my behavior. He further maintained that thereâs NOTHING wrong with trying to find out someoneâs home address in order to continue contact after theyâve disengaged and blocked you.Â
The address, while NOTHING like my own address, was a home in my city previously owned by a family with the surname Rose. So he WAS trying to find my address, and keeping tabs on me/my family well enough to talk about my daughter. And then he tore the package to pieces and claimed I did it. If you look at the images, youâll see fairly clearly thereâs no way it arrived that way: pictures of various sizes are ripped in half, the largest one torn in thirds, but the hand-written and signed letters from Travis to me, about my family, are intact.
[EDIT TO ADD: The return address for Travis shown below is publicly posted on his website. This is not me doxing his address in return.]
And he DEFENDED trying to find the home where my children live, and then implied that only my âhate and angerâ towards him made that seem inappropriate or wrong.
Iâm not sharing all of this in an attempt to get people to engage with Travis about this: please donât. I am sharing this because I realize that he has called, DMed, texted, people who follow me and told them that they have to unfollow me. Heâs presented the staged image above as proof of my âhate,â and heâs misrepresented the situation to say that I refused to assist him in dealing with virulent hate, instead of him reporting fans for tweets that in no way violate the terms of service of Twitter, nor fall under the mission of  the SPN Antibullying account.Â
Heâs making FB and Instagram posts about the hate in fandom, and how it is only hate that has people posting their stories of interaction with him. He is presenting himself as the victim, and fans as the aggressor.
I think at this point, itâs important people recognize that this is not necessarily the case.
Iâve seen other DMs. Iâve been forwarded other accounts, conversations with him, things heâs done. This is by far not the whole of it, but those arenât my stories to tell.
Those accounts of his behavior are out there, though, and I have no doubt more will be coming to light soon. Iâm not asking you to believe everything you read. But be aware, there is something more to this story than âangry fans attack celebrity.â

After that horrible radio interview, we wanted to send our love to Louden Swain at the convention. Thursday, Friday and Saturday we gathered so many messages from fans that people were trying to find space still right before the concert! One cast member wanted to leave his support too, but âdidnât want them to get too big a head about itâ with his message.
SNS at Houscon was amazing: the cast chose mostly Louden Swain songs to sing, which Rob called âa real treat,â the crowd was enthusiastic, and they raised their phones as lighters during emotional songs. Rob closed his eyes at the beginning of She Waits, and opened them again to what he called âa sea of lights.âÂ
Rob was speechless. âYou have no idea.â
âNot to get too personal, but Iâve been feeling off all week. You guys holding those lights up just made my fucking night.â
I don't know if you know about that anti yana cockles blog. They screen capped you. But isn't J 2 a ship name for the Js just like cockles is if M & J. Also I have posted respectful ask/comments to that blog but seems they don't respond back. Hmm i wonder...
I saw that, but wasnât sweating it much! Mostly, I figure their reading comprehension skills are pretty limited.
I donât ship RPF: Iâve made it pretty clear I donât ship Cockles OR J2, though I enjoy all the friendships! I have plenty of Cockles shipping friends, though, and have never seen hate towards the wives or elaborate âbeardingâ conspiracy theories from them.
Cockles and J2 are often used to refer to the friendships in shorthand, even by people who arenât shipping it. I doubt when cast/crew call them J2 itâs confirmation of a secret marriage, any more than them calling Kim, Katherine and Kathryn K3 was a sign of a secret polyamorous relationship.
Now, as to that blog. The fact is, I see a select handful of people complaining all over the internet about YANA because itâs a campaign spearheaded by Jensen and Misha. Either Cockles or Destiel or both are their NoTP. They are throwing the digital equivalent of a screaming fit over every tweet, video, or image of Jensen and Misha together that hits their dash, because how DARE these grown men be in the same room with each other, let alone showing a united front to the Internet on a charity campaign.
You know, there are a lot of people who donât ship J2 or Wincest but can still enjoy pics of Jensen and Jared at cons or on the set, having fun. It does not get nearly this much of a kneejerk reaction to it. AKF was broadly supported in the Cockles/Destiel/Minion factions of fandom, too, when they dropped the first shirt. I bought several people AKF shirts and helped others find people to donate shirts to.
Then thereâs the recent concern trolling about Creationâs cut, that you heard nary a peep about when it was Jared and Jensenâs shirts and calendars for the PACK fund, Robâs Stroke Foundation shirt, Richâs DAV shirt, Markâs diabetes camp shirt, Kimâs ASAN shirt, Osricâs shirt supporting RA, Ruthâs shirt for My Hope Chest, and on and on.
These products feature characters and show quotes instead of just personal catchphrases and celebrity images, because Creation has the license to do so, whereas Represent it was, to my knowledge, just images of the celebs. Yes, that means a bigger cut taken out, but frankly people have been paying out their nose to Creation for tickets and swag without a bit of it going to charity for years. Now it supports causes for the celebs.
Is it a perfect system? Of course not! If you want 100% of your money to go to a charity, you give it directly to the charity. If you donate to Random Acts on their site, you can choose to earmark it for the Crisis Network.
But all of this is just overblown concern trolling, and attempts to belittle fans contributing to a charity by claiming their opinions and actions are entirely irrelevant because of a ship.
I support YANA and what it is accomplishing, and think the Crisis Network is a kind gesture from the cast towards people who need help, after years of hearing our stories.
It might be worth noting that Clif and I shook hands in Houston. I was being reported again, you see. He said he âjust mutes that now,â and he knows that I am not now, nor have I ever been, a threat. He acknowledged it was a âreally messed up situationâ and said itâd never happen again.
Just putting that out there for those of you still clinging to this idea that I am the villainous hater that you paint me as, or that Iâm a hairsbreadth from being banned forever.

Where did you get those Guinea pig toys in the Misha pic?? I want some!!!
My friends hand-made them all! They made dozens of guinea pigs in the week leading up to the con, both sewn and crocheted ones, and we named and tagged them all with Valentines so that we could give them to all of the Casplayers! Sorry, we donât have any left over! Misha took home Thursday (the little yellow âangelâ guinea pig that Cas is holding there!) and two more he picked out for West and Maison. Megan Padalecki took a few, and the rest went to all the Casplayers and kids attending, and Chris Schmelke and a few volunteers who looked like they needed a smile! It really was just a little Random Act to brighten the con for people. Iâm sorry we donât have more to give away!

Itâs possible weâre fangirls, and this is what happens when you give a Dean girl and a Cas girl a chance to take care of their boys on Valentineâs Day: Castiel gets furry friends and Dean gets a blanket and a mug of tomato rice soup.Â
This is why I asked #WheresRey. This is why I think it matters, and why it irritates me that I was lectured by âtrue fansâ about how Star Wars cheapened itself by having a more inclusive, diverse cast.
âCheapened.â
No. You donât understand. This is absolutely invaluable to me, as a parent. This means the world to my little girl, who sees herself in Rey, and to so many others.
So the Nerdist was right.
This is amazing.
And not just for my girl, no matter how cute she is in her fangirling (I admit a small amount of bias). Itâs amazing for all the kids who can see themselves as heroes of this story with Rey, Finn and Poe now.
THIS is what it is.all about. People get annoyed or frustrated that movies are âjust throwing in female protagonistsâ for whateverâs sake or âblackwashing for no senseâ. But for a five year old being brought into that movie and seeing themselves on screen, and no longer worrying about pretending to be a jedi at school and the boys discouraging her by saying that girls canât be jedis or âyou be mace windu since youâre blackâ. This is why feminism and casting POC in big movies is important
Iâm not mad about their being girls. Iâm just kind of upset that the amazing girls from the star wars canon I grew up reading in books got completely looked over for this one random girl.
Did you guys know Luke had been married and had kids? The movie ignored those characters.
Did you know Han and Leia had several children besides Ben? Movie ignored them too.
Iâm not mad about Rey, I kinda like Rey. Iâm mad about EVERYONE ELSE.
WHAT HAPPENED TO JACEN SOLO DISNEY??? ANSWER ME!!!
As a fan of the EU myself... I'm kind of okay with it staying in the books, and the movies taking us on a new adventure.
The books are what we reached for to keep the adventure going and let us enjoy the world, but I feel if they just moved that over and faithfully turned those into films, we would end up with another trilogy with no twists, no surprises, and no mystery that you couldn't just look up.
We all knew Anakin's fate when the prequel novels came out, they were just filling in the details to match the broad strokes (how masterfully they handled that, I'll leave to others to debate).
I will still happily hand the EU books to my kids, and since they read Marvel I know they can handle the idea of alternate realities. The EU is one, and it'll always be there for them: but these movies are something new we all get to experience for the first time.
Hearing everyone getting involved and making guesses and spinning theories has sparked a whole new level of excitement: one that invites fans old and new to play, leading new fans to the EU to search for elements they could be drawing ideas from. I feel this encourages long-time fans not to lecture to the newer fans about where the story is going which they'd KNOW if they just READ THE BOOKS... but to engage with them. This is a new story for all of us. I want to see where this adventure takes us. And if that means enjoying the EU and the new trilogy separately, I'm okay with that that.
