❛  what they are is a poor excuse for a pastry.  ❜   he stands his ground on that, perking up on judgemental eyebrow while biting off yet another piece of his valued donut. he only registers the sound of her voice, not quite what she says, but he’s got an inkling as to what it could’ve been. blanc’s gaze snaps in her direction.    ❛   what was that?  ❜    alas, a sure way to distract the detective  (  other than his preferred pastry  )  was to start him on a theory, and so he soon forgets about poking emma’s provocations further.    ❛  yes, i most certainly do.  ❜  straightening himself on his chair, his eyes sparkle.   ❛  granny is a perfect culprit. his car was parked across from her diner, she had ample time and opportunity, she certainly had the means  ––  she’s used spray paint to make the poster of the last party they held at the diner  ––  and she’s always pissed off at people for one reason or another. maybe archie ticked her and she finally snapped.  ❜  

𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐖𝐀𝐒  𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆  ,  his  head  dizzy  ,  everything  felt  off  .  he  says  nothing  for  a  moment  -  resting  the  palm  of  his  hand  upon  his  forehead  instead  and  lets  out  a  heavy  sigh  .  ❛  guess  i  had  too  much  at  the  bar  last  night ❜  a  lie  ,  he  hadn’t  been  out  drinking  ,  ❛    what’s  it  to  you  anyway  ?  don’t  you  have  paperwork  or  something  ?   ❜
