Am I in the minority that liked Lars as an archetypal character from the get go?Heās an ass, but his insecurities are immediately apparent Ā after only a few episodes and they service to have him as the strongest, most developed secondary Ā character in the show. (Greg isnāt a secondary character).

Yes because the proper way to promote harmony between people is to create stringent Ā lines of segregation of who can do what and when and why they can do it based upon what a small group of people deem to be the moral high ground. The moment you start telling people what they can and canāt do based on reasons like this youāre stepping one step closer to a man we call Jim Crow.
Can I express how much I simply adore this scene, especially how itās contextually juxtaposed with both the previous scene and the previous two episodes.
The entire gag relies on Jack calmly approaching and then simply letting the assassin rant as he stays almost completely still with a face that reads Ā āwho the fuck is this crazy womanā. Itās a humorous moment that characterizes both characters; Jack is still stoic and unflinching, despite how troubled he is, and the assassin as an unhinged and utterly delusional woman. It all works to breath an air of lightheartedness to a series that has been very lacking in it, working to lighten the overall mood of the series and help bring it out of the gutter of pure emotional tragedy (which, while done quite well, a series made up of nothing but is a bad soap opera at best, remember that Shakespeare wrote comedies that had lots of dead people and tragedies that involved two graveyard workers having a pissing match over how crazy the main character is. (Also a character whose dying words were āI am slainā)).
I feel itās a sign of good pacing to have the discipline to effectively place humor in a generally serious show, just as it takes discipline to have strong dramatic moments in a generally humorous show, and it serves as a skill that is appearing more and more within modern western animation.Ā
Overall this scene displays the second most important skill that a show can practice. The first is strong character writing, while this is the ability to temper tone in a way that never seems jarring and keeps the overtones of the series in tact while still giving a varieties of moods and emotions that run the entire gamut from sad and furious to caring and humorous.

Thereās very little need to swear at me. It perhaps the extremely meme-filled part of Tumblr, but most of the time when I see people using those terms itās about thinly veiled smutty memes and jokes, and have very rarely seen it simply attacked to say, a piece of fanart on its own. Itās merely saying that the termĀ āsinā in particular has more than one colloquial use.
Once again, I feel the need to clarify that, what i was trying to say, is that the term has many uses, most notably within works of near-smutty memes, like all the rather hilarious DracoXHarry text jokes I see flying around. I think, at this point, the terminology has mostly become self aware and self parodying.

Was it just me or did Star's crushing on Marco come across as too heavy-handed during BBTBC? I mean, it's not a matter of it being obvious, by this point, it already was, but Stars' reactions seemed excessive at the beginning (whilst Marco is going down the stairs).
Do you think so? I think itās completely reasonable: at first she was just a bit struck by seeing him all well dressed and attractive
and then she wasā¦ a lot of things. Confused, distracted, bothered, angry and jealous for a moment, and then super sad. Even if they werenāt so young (being teens clearly helps in making reactions to first love and things like that more intense), I personally wouldnāt find anything wrong with the way things played out. āPersonallyā, as usual, being the keyword, since this is one of those very subjective things.
Can we talk about the fact that Star stays up all night checking messages to see if Oscar calls Ā her. Star has a pretty obsessive personality and is easily fixated on things, so itās not hard to believe she would repeatedly try and call Marco just like she repeatedly tried to check calls from Oscar.
I know this isn't the most appropriate. But I realized with stars dark green rainbow dress because of how it exposes her shoulders you can pretty much fill in the blanks to figure out what she looks like naked
