I interpreted this as a body swap - aka "They get Freaky Friday'd"

Charlie (in Maxwell's body) has to help Maxwell (in Charlie's body) do the trademark Charlie hairstyle. Maxwell's learning a few sobering things about being a woman - I think Charlie's just enjoying being so tall.

More of the vamp outfits. I took some heavy inspiration from the concept art for the Shivering Isles (Oblivion), specifically what they wear in Crucible. Add a little red, and we're ready for Elsewhere.

It's funny, I'm considering Max as a name even though I already picked two other options I'm more attached to. He doesn't give me dysphoria anymore. Back when I sent those asks I was confused about a lot of stuff. I had only just discovered being trans was an option and was kind of overwhelmed and latched onto this handsome guy as what I wanted to be. I didn't really know how to be myself back then. That's partly why I was too shy to come off anon.

I wanted to thank you for making such great art. I don't follow much Don't Starve stuff on tumblr, but yours feels special. It was comforting despite how sad a lot of it was just by virtue of how it ends.

No “Don’t Starve Elsewhere” Maxwell and Charlie? Actually if you look through one of the windows in the shot with the castle in the trailer, you'll totally see them! ;) Looks like Maxwell has completely deserted the other survivors (to be with his wife), and he is thriving. As for Charlie? She caught Maxwell red-handed! (*badum tss*)

but now we have a canon civilian clothes Maxwell/William - guess they're going for the Harold Lloyd approach? I somehow never thought Winona's invitation to come to the cabin involved her being there but this is more bittersweet because Charlie had to decline the offer and her letter is dated April 1906 right before the earthquake and it feels so weird to actually see some evolution of the cyclum puzzles narrative that I literally had to sit down to think about it for a moment. God Maxwell and Charlie it's like they're married how else are you supposed to interpret it? I know it's a "what could have been" scenario but come ON! And Charlie's traveling outfit!!! also it's really funny to me that Maxwell can drive? He just seems like such a city slicker to me I thought he'd be like those folks in new york who have never driven anywhere but it's cool he can have a smidge of competence as a treat
