I’ll be reblogging this to my RP blogs later, but–

I guess I should have put this out here much sooner than I did, considering how long this has been on my mind, but… I’ve honestly been thinking of quitting Tumblr RP altogether. It’s come to a point where I just don’t enjoy it at all anymore. Every time I try to get back into it, I just get really anxious. Not to mention I suck at approaching people nowadays and that doesn’t help at all with getting new interactions going.

I’m probably not leaving Tumblr altogether, I’ve just been thinking about leaving its RP community. If anyone who I’ve RPed with on Tumblr, or just has been following me here for a while, is still interested in RPing with me at some point, feel free to ask for my Discord.

I’ve been working on my new blog pages for both binariicodice and intergalacticforces- the ones for the former are done already and I’m currently working on the ones for the latter. This blog is gonna remain inactive a while longer, I’m afraid

that said though, I’ve been considering on moving my muses from this blog over to intergalacticforces. As much as I think my muses on here deserve their own blog, it’s... not really getting much attention as KI:U is v obscure. I’m still unsure on whether or not I’m gonna move them, but I’m considering it ))

Semi-hiatus notice

(( Okay so as you all probably know by now, I’ve been playing Pokemon Shield for about a week now and I can’t bring myself to stop unless I have to go to school or it’s late. That said, I’m gonna have to announce an indefinite hiatus. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in full, but I’ll return for sure!!

I might be able to get some things done while I’m at school, but don’t count on it. You can reach out to me through the IM and on Discord (also my main blog, which is @aquamarinewrites), though I’ll be more likely to respond on Discord. PSA.

Just because my blog is all about CHEMISTRY when it comes to shipping, does NOT mean I am oppose to discussing ships with your muse, having your muse come at mine, telling me right away in an introduction: “I ship our muses hope you don’t find that X” etc. etc. That is HOW chemistry can start. Saying I’m a “chemistry only” shipper only means I do not “auto ship” what fandom or canon wants, I want to see it happen between writers as synergy or in “real time”. Nothing against auto-shippers, but chemistry shippers tend to get overlooked as the RPC seems to think this means: “they’re never going to do what I want right away, so why bother.” No, we just don’t want you thinking romance / smut / whatever is all that we’re good for. We don’t want to be used and then abandoned after 1 thread. Maybe it’s our way of smoking out the partners that are using our muse for JUST that thing. Maybe we’re protecting our muses because we know people flake out and leave the RPC all the time after coming to us hardcore and getting us to want what they want. Please do not pass us up because we don’t want to jump into something and fake it in order to keep partners. Sometimes our muses DO connect right away. Sometimes they DO want your muse when they appear. We are saying that all ships are NOT created equal or the same, and we are open to finding that connection through every way, not just the instant-drive-thru manner of rp.

RPC, I know this seems to escape people but…

Respect your rp partners who are fast. Don’t shame them. It’s not a bad thing that they are excited about your reply or have a method. Making them feel guilty is wrong. Don’t fault people who want to reply to you. It doesn’t mean that people who are fast, do not have a life. Some people just are most comfortable being quick and are excited. There is nothing wrong with being fast.

Respect your rp partners who are slow. Some people just have a longer process, ponder things longer, and genuinely are just busier. Some people just prefer to have a longer queue, take longer. It doesn’t mean they’re not excited. There is nothing wrong with being slow.

Basically, respect your RP Partner.
