one is through the lens of being lgbtqia,

that’s that so many times cutting our hair and running away is a thing so many of us have considered doing at some point in life, to start a new life (esp for those of us who are trans or nonbinary) it’s such a pivotal point to change who you are

the other is through the lens of also being a mixed race person myself.

growing up I hated being mexican american. the person I tried to pretend I was not always came back to haunt me, the small things making a snowball effect later on. I wanted to start again, to be normal but later on I regret that, it lost me a lot of my culture and heritage
