Happy New Year, everyone! Unfortunately, I won’t have time until at least this weekend to do the full post of top 20s with links, but I wanted to share some basics now that the survey is done!

I collected 175 surveys

245 authors received at least one “favorite” vote, bringing the total number of authors who have EVER received a vote up to 480.

I am in the early, early stages of (with help) using the survey author data to create a “if you liked this author, you might also like these other authors” database. More on this as it develops.

The top 20 authors list is actually the top 26 authors, thanks to a large-scale tie for 20th. They are, in alphabetical order: 60r3d0m, almaasi, Annie D (scaramouche), anyrei and mugglerock (who are frequent co-authors and will be listed together), bendingsignpost, imogenbynight, jemarial, jhoom, jupiter_james, komodobits, ltleflrt, mishcollin, MittenWraith, NorthernSparrow, pantheon_of_discord, riseofthefallenone, saltnhalo, saltyfeathers, sharkfish, thepinupchemist, unforth, violue, whelvenwings, WinJennster and xylodemon.

1054, yes ONE THOUSAND AND FIFTY FOUR, fics got at least one vote for favorite. 594 fics were voted into the collection for the first time. The total number of fics that have now received at least one vote in at least one survey is 1768. These fics are by more than 800 different authors.

The Destiel Favs Collection on AO3 is up to 1352 items in the main collection plus 435 bookmarks (bookmarks are of works not hosted on AO3 and of works where the author didn’t accept the invite to the collection).

I have gone through all the works hosted outside of AO3 and improved how they’re tagged in the bookmarks. However, this is a work in progress. If you’ve read any of these works and can suggest additional tags that would be fantastic - view the works here.

Backing up every story that received a vote (including every work in every collection) has resulted in my having a database of 2,980 works, totally 1.43 gigs of fic.

I will shortly be creating a spreadsheet that just lists all the authors and works that have gotten a vote, and the links to find the authors and stories. No vote tallies will be shared, but I thought this might help people, especially since some authors’ works are spread over multiple platforms.

I’m pondering a means of taking rolling submissions of works not already in the collection. I’m open to suggestions.

I have done my damnedest to get a digital copy of every work that received a vote, but I am still missing a few. If you have a copy of one of these please get in touch with me.

Here’s the deal, y’all. Since commissions went so well before, I’m doing it again. I’m in dire need of extra money, but I don’t feel right begging for donations again.

So, as some of you know, but most of you don’t, I’ve been diagnosed with a mystery degenerative neurological disease. My job doesn’t offer health insurance anymore, and they don’t pay me enough do get it on my own. I need a diagnosis to even hope to get better, work more steadily, and regain custody of my daughter. But a CT scan alone plus a trip to a neurologist is going to set me back $5,000 that I don’t have, and will take me forever to save up for.

Therefore, commissions!

DETAILS:

PRICING : $10.00 USD per 1,000 words. Up to 5,000 words. If you want something longer, we can talk about it, but it would take significantly longer to produce.

PAYMENT : 

USD through PayPal. I also have a Ko-Fi, but PayPal is better so we can use invoices to protect your purchase.

Once we have worked out your prompt, I will send you a short (300-500 word) sample. If you approve of the direction of the sample, payment will be due at that time.

When you approve your full draft, payment will be final.

PROCESS :

Send me an email to [email protected] requesting a spot. Please do not send me an ask here to request a slot. Messages and asks get lost too easily.

If there is a spot available, I will reply and ask for 1) a prompt, 2) the word count you want, 3) the pairing and rating you want.

Give me those details, and then wait for your preview.

Once approved, pay the invoice I send, and then wait for your rough draft.

Request any changes to the draft, and once those are finished, I will edit and send you a final PDF of your story.

You may post the story anywhere you like, with credit back to me, or keep it for yourself. Alternately, I can post it to Ao3 and gift it to you so that you can link it anywhere you want.

Please keep in mind that I write regularly, but it can take a few weeks for your commission to be completed, depending on your spot in the queue. I will keep you updated regularly on the progress of your commission.

I prefer to write for Supernatural and Mass Effect.

I am not particularly picky about pairings, as I multi-ship.

I write any rating from G to E.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

my country is burning.

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?
