“Chicken and waffles sounds a little interesting, not sure how I’m going to feel about it until it’s done, really…” Elani admitted, shrugging her shoulders a bit as she looked at her. Then after a moment when she asked about the flour, Elani moved to a cupboard not far from either of them and pulled the flour out, handing it over. “What all do you need and I’ll grab it all, I know where everything is.” Of course she did, she basically lived here without physically living inside this exact house.

At the other woman's admission, Evie pouted. "It's on a similar line to sweet and salty. If you like both on their own, try them together! At least that's what I like to think happened." She giggled and moved over to the sink, getting the water hot before pushing the plug over the drain and placing the chicken inside. "Thank you." Evie cracked a few eggs into a bowl and whisked with a fork. "Do you have a favorite meal you'd like me to learn and add to the rotation?"

"Yeah, it was his place but he did ask you to move in and he might be expecting you change at least some things around here." Aiden pointed out with a small shrug. "Or at least make it feel like home to you also." Nodding her head a little bit. "Yeah, let's go." There was a small chuckle that escaped her lips. "Actually yeah, I would love to stay for dinner."

Opening the back door, Evie laughed when Dutton ran up to Aiden and curled his body around her lower legs. "Oh my goodness! Did you miss Auntie A?" The goldendoodle whined. Evie scooped up a toy and threw it across the grass, Dutton sprinted after it. "I think we need to start our weekly walks back up, especially with the nice weather and school wrapping up."

There had been a certain Founding Family that Javier had been waiting to dunk and they were up. Making his way over to that area, he decided to get some food stuff. Standing in line that was when he felt a bumped from someone. "So sorry." He stated, looking over at her for a moment. That was when Javier recognized her. Liam's girlfriend. "It was probably my fault, ma. No worries at all. If you would like, you can go ahead of me."

"No," she shook her head and smiled softly. "You were just standing here." Evie shook her head again with an awkward laugh. "I'm okay. Thank you though." She glanced at the menu, "I practice what I preach. Or teach. My kids know to wait patiently in line. Have you eaten at this place before? My boyfriend suggested it, and he said get him whatever sounded the best."

"You're not supposed to hear me..." She reminded with a gentle smile, though even trying to be gentle in her way, sometimes came off as it not being as such. Elani wasn't the type that really gave off gentle vibes even when trying to. It was after all; her job to be sneaky and to be able to enter a room with no one being alerted by it, for safety reasons. That gentle smile, still on her lips as she looked at Evie for a moment before nodding her head. "I'd love to stay for dinner." She said, reaching her hands out to see if Evie needed her to help with anything. "Hand me whatever I need to help get dinner going..."

"I'm still learning where everything is," Evie smiled with a chuckle. She held out the carton of eggs. "How does chicken and waffles sound? And do you know where the flour is?" Evie asked as she opened the freezer to find some chicken. "My Mom has this really great breading recipe that goes great with maple syrup."

Aiden glanced around a little bit, before over at Evie. "Yeah, maybe. I mean that could be it." She certainly wasn't wrong about that. Liam and herself had completely different tastes. That much was obvious. Listening to her, she was glad that her friend seemed to be making the changes that she wanted and that Liam actually let her. "I'm glad that he letting you make those changes. Oh yeah, that is one thing that I do love about living around here. It's very quiet."

"Me too. My Mom has always said to never overstay your welcome, so this is uncharted territory. I don't want to completely take over, ya know? This was his place first." Evie smiled as she moved out of the kitchen, "lets go enjoy the quiet? Out back?" As she walked, she playfully knocked a hip into Aiden and giggled. "I hope you'll be staying for supper."
