Have you not heard of 358/2 Days? It’s been out for years and sits well outside the established linear theme of the numbering.

The 358/2 in the title of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days refers to the number of days, not the number of games; i.e., it’s parseable as “Kingdom Hearts – 358/2 Days”. That doesn’t work for Kingdom Hearts 27/ π Starship Melodies unless we presume that the 27/π refers to the number of starships.
