To quote Vincent van Gogh; “Farming is probably the most important profession on Earth”
Personal note-1 May 2015: Capitalism is a big sell out and a very destructive economical (slave) force eating up the planet by it’s never ending demand in gaining more wealth, power and goods based on endless growth, which is simply not possible. We already reached the peak for this planet Earth.
Today the animal species are dying in an alarming rate!
Capitalism is taking away our rights as well, as it does on every aspect of life.
It is enslaving the complete world. Capitalism itself is the crises.
Most wealth goes to a (0,001%) of the people.
It pressures the farmers (globally) in to things they normally wouldn’t like to do.Driven by a (not needed) competition and economic pressure, the caging of animals to simply keep up with other farmers/industries and the systems endless demands to lower the prices. Often a reason of stress, of bad health, of priviliged and opressed people, of animal abuse, enviromental damage etc. A matter of ‘life and death’. For instance, cows, chickens that can no longer freely walk/live outside in the fields at many farms in Europe. Not even to mention the destructive ‘mega-farms’ or the ‘agri/agressive culture’ of many countries as Brasil that sadly cuts down the Rainforest for profit and agriculture. The Netherlands and France are a part of the huge deforestation too by currently investing in projects and business that takes away more Rainforest over there. Killing the planet and all true life. Think of the bad treatment of animal life, the way small farmers get pushed aside and are being forced. The use of poisons and chemicals (Without the use of pesticides only 10-15% of the total harvest would get naturally lost by insects and animals. That means that actually not that much is won, certainly not worth poisining the land and animals.
Capitalism is costing too much!
Take care and be well.
