Introduction & Rules
That's right! After seeing so many fans of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto take up the vital task of collecting panels of our beloved ninjas, I thought I should join the fray. As you can see, I've chosen to chronicle the appearances of Jiraiya the Toad Sage. I hadn't seen anyone else focus on him yet, so with a gentle nudge from @every-orochimaru, I decided to dive in and fill the void!
Just wanted to share a few ground rules with you all.
๐ธ Each batch of panels shall be collected and posted by chapter in which they appear. Expect to see a new batch posted here (approximately) on weekends: Friday - Sunday, US Eastern time. Rather than post every panel individually, I have opted to post all panels on the same page together. It's easier on my eyes, my wrist, and my focus.
๐ธ Feel free to send me asks pertaining to the panels, the manga, or anything fandom-related! I only ask that we keep all conversation respectful. Remember that respect does not mean agreeing with everything one says, but knowing it's okay to disagree. Whatever personal commentary I include in the tags is just that.
๐ธ We've all got our personal takes on the franchise. I understand the controversy surrounding Jiraiya in particular. Heck, my own feelings toward him have grown quite mixed! I'm not here to change minds about him. My goal is just to recapture his actions, the good and the bad, throughout the manga (and only the manga; for the time being, I am ignoring the anime and films). But following up from the 2nd rule, I will not tolerate bashing of characters, ships, or the sequel manga Boruto. I strive to make this blog a hub of positivity.
