Why did Tamsy turn on Regto? Was it his plan from the beginning or was there something to make him do it?

What is Tamsy‘s plan?

Why would he prefer to leave his life of wealth behind to do what he does now?

Does he agree with the values of the spherite people?

What is his goal with Rudo?

I saw a theory too, that Tamsy and Regto wanted to change the way people live on the sphere an on the ground, but somehow Tamsy turned on Regto (or Regto did something to make Tamsy turn on him), and then Tamsy had to kill Regto to fulfill their original plan. He framed Rudo so he would come to the ground since he probably knew about the watchman gloves and the fact that Rudo could cross the border safely, and then started slowly manipulating and triggering Rudo into more and more violent behaviour etc. So in the end, Rudo would be the one to finalise the plan and make it happen.

If this is true, my question is: how did Tamsy switch sides? It‘s obvious that he is part of a wealthy family based on the huge castle shown in the first panel of chapter 161, but to me, this means he is/was just like the other rich spherites and shares opinions about tribesfolk with them. So how did it happen that he made an alliance with Regto and started planing the downfall of the sphere? What happened or what did he find out that made him want to plan such things?
