Ross’ Wedding. The Big One.

-Once again Ross’ parents are mean to Monica. He does not stick up for her.

-Emily’s parents are trying to scam Ross’ parents. Ross decides to be negotiate instead of just saying no.

-But then he points how Emily is having it rough couple days. It should be pointed it a lot of these problems are technically Ross’ fault. (Example: being rude to her wants, not being sympathetic enough, proposing in the first place)

-Ross tempts fate by seeing Emily before the wedding

-Ross is mad at Joey for being on the phone with being Phoebe even though shes the only Friend who didn’t make it to HIS wedding.

Ross really pushes Rachel to come to his wedding, he pressures her even when she says she’s busy with work.

Ross really doesn’t like Monica making wedding suggestions to Emily. To the point where he pushes her over.

[Rachel realizes she still loves Ross. Which, since Ross hasn’t even been with Emily for 4 months so it stands to reason that it hasn’t even been a year since the last time they tried]

Emily isn’t happy with how things are going with the weddings, losing her tulips, losing her cellist, but mostly losing her venue. Monica suggests postponing the wedding and she agrees. Ross doesn’t want to because the guests are already here.

Despite Joey having no chance of being a Best Man in his life, Ross demands to be Chandler’s since Chandler would have been his twice. Ultimately chooses Joey to be his best man out of spite.

Then Ross gloats about it to Chandler.

It should be noted Ross pretends to not want strippers at his bachelor party. But it doesn’t stop him from enjoying them.

Now that Ross in engaged he wants to talk to Rachel privately. He claims it’s to comfort her but it almost comes across like gloating. He says “hang in there” and even tells Rachel he didn’t think Rachel and her new boyfriend were that serious. Like who is he to say that? He’s marrying a girl he’s only known for six weeks.

In past episodes Ross and Rachel have had a competitive like nature when it comes to them seeing other people. Rachel still feels that way, saying her and Ross are “tied.” Ross doesn’t really comment on it and suggests the 4 Of them double date. [Maybe he thinks he’s already won?]

Ross and Emily set a wedding date in a month. Meaning they’ll be husband and wife before they’ve even known each other 4 months.

~it makes Rachel accidentally sabotage her relationship.

Ross continues with his whole “I’m a better person while dating Emily.” Thing. [he’s not]

Ross, personality wise, is a bit clingy to his girlfriends. It’s evident by how much he doesn’t want to lose Emily. Also, cited by other episodes, He loves love. He lost his first wife, he lost the girl he always wanted (Rachel) and now the girl he “loves” [having only known her for less than two months] lives in another country. He’s naturally afraid of it not working out with Emily.

His solution is to ask her to move in with it.

Now if you really really look at this. Not only has he only been dating her for 6 weeks but he mentions she’s only here on weekends. So if you subtract phone calls and possibly emails. He’s only seen her in person a total of 26 days. {at most if you’re optimistic}

It’s crazy to ask someone to move in you’ve only known for that short amount of time. Chandler and Joey both tell him, even saying that they have milk older than that.

Ross is blinded by his insecurities and asks her anyway. He doesn’t care about her having to leave her whole life for him. He wants to keep her forever, lock her down. The next solution is marriage. He actually asks her to marry him and she actually says yes. [this is Emily’s 6th episode]

When Susan(Carol’s wife[Ross’ Ex]) is going to London, Emily offers to show her around.

Ross makes it super obvious that he doesn’t like Susan. (It’s weird that he still doesn’t like her after all this time.)

Ross immediately gets paranoid since he thought Carol was straight when he married her. It stems from the fact that Carol was falling in love with Susan six months before Ross and her broke up. He seriously thinks Emily will cheat on him with Susan.

He actually spreads his paranoia to Carol, drilling her until she admits the teeniest tiniest possibility of them cheating. He then proceeds to blame her for validating his fear.

He literally says, “They’re being gay together!”

Phoebe blames Carol for turning him into a jealous freaked out guy. Rachel agrees. Monica says all his girlfriends in high school cheated on him.

Ross says he was still right about Mark.

Monica puts it in Ross’ head that he loves Emily despite only dating for two weeks. He then tells her. She only says “thank you” and leaves.

Ross wants to play hard to get but obviously is willing to put up with Emily blowing him off. His friends call him a loser.

Emily tells him “there’s someone else”

By the end Ross is so desperate he travels all the way to London to tell her. (At Monica’s I insistence) (While she travels to New York)

Ross has this weird mentality that he’s a better person with Emily. (He’s not)

She’s leaving and Rachel throws her a “fake” going away party. Ross is pressured into staying at the party with Emily (despite having plans)

He gets super jealous and a little controlling when Emily and Joey kiss twice during a game of spin the bottle.

When Emily’s friends show up and Ross thinks they’re kidnapping her Ross doesn’t help but rather yells out to the street.

Rachel’s Boss’ niece needs someone to go with her to the opera. (Emily)

Rachel is trying to move on with a new guy, but messes up when asking him out.

Ross rubs it in her face.
