Some things I'm bringing with me tomorrow for the Forest Hills Comic Con in Queens, NY. I'll have a few copies of the Nerd Inferno and beasts of Burden books, some issues of Catacomb of Torment I worked on, some Beasts of Burden comic sets, pins and a few drawings as seen above. I don't know what I'm pricing the drawings at but it won't be abything close to what they usually go for on ebay. Any of them that come home with me will go on eBay and my Patreon.
This will be my last of five signings this month, and the last local NYC show I have planned for the year. That may change but tomorrow is the last time I'll be signing here for a while, at least.
Hope to see some folks in Queens tomorrow!

New on the Patreon: My script for the story "Death Groove", from Catacomb of Torment #10 (Oni/EC). As with all previous script posts, it's available to Patreon backers at the $5 and $10 tiers.
A few photos I manged to take at the Sutin Books and Comics signing this past Saturday. I was at the shop from roughly 1 p.m until 2 a.m., with a one hour Q&A in the afternoon. I didn't finish signing customer books until after 10 at night, the next four hours I signed employee books, orders for folks who couldn't make it to the store and the rest of the copies of Nerd Inferno, as well as a crate of Milk & Cheese vinyl figures they had in storage.
The line was long and the wait took up to five hours for some stalwarts, I appreciate everyone who came down to get something signed, sat in on the fun Q&A, and picked up a copy of Nerd Inferno, the Beasts of Burden Omnibus and/or the exclsuive Eltingville CLub print the store had made for the event. The shop still has signed and numbered prints left if anyone is interested. And the M&C figures. And a bunch of copies of Nerd Inferno, all signed.
I existed for three days on cane sugar Dr. Pepper, Cheerwine, candy bars, and some really excellent brisket on Saturday. Thanks to Dale, Joe and everyone at Austin B&C, and, again, everyone who came out and waited on line to say hello and get their books signed/sketched. I had an absolute blast.

Last stop in May for the Nerd Inferno Tour is Sunday, May 31st in Queens, NY for the Forest Hills Comic Con. Hope to see some of the House of Fun faithful out there next week. www.foresthillscomiccon.com

FYI: AUSTIN BOOKS AND COMICS is making an 11" x 17" Eltingville Club print available at this Saturday's Nerd Inferno signing event.
The print is of The Eltingville Club #2 cover, with original colors by Sarah Dyer. There will be approximately 100 prints available and the price is being worked out -- the initial estimate was $20 but it might be higher based on exact work costs. I'll be signing and maybe numbering them all. I don't know how that works, I've never had a real print done before.
So, the prints will be at the shop on Saturday, I'll be at the shop on Saturday (if my plane doesn't crash) and hopefully some of you will be at the shop on Saturday.
Updated NERD INFERNO signing tour: Three down...not sure how many to go. Hope to see some of you out there somewhere.

I was honored to be a guest on The Flop House Podcast and I showed my gratitude by picking DREAMCATCHER (2003) for the discussion. It also counted as an act of self harm.
The episode will be posted tomorrow, please join hosts Elliot Kalan, Dan McCoy and Stuart Wellington and myself as we talk about the huge waste of money, resources, brain cells and professional reputations known as Dreamcatchers aka Stephen King's Dreamcatchers aka Two-Hour Nightmare Experience.
Thanks again to the gang for putting up with me and my horrendous movie pick. And my motormouth. I had a terrific time.

Tomorrow!
I'll be signing (and maybe sketching) at the NEW DORP COMIC CON in Staten Island NYC from 12-5 pm. If there's any spillover past that I can probably go down the block to JHU Comics and sign stuff there. I'll be bunking with Nick and the gang from JHU at the con, they'll have some copies of Nerd Inferno for sale which will include an exclusive Eltingville Club print. I'll be bringing a few copies of the Beasts of Burden books, copies of Catacomb of Torment, some HOF pins and whatever else I can scrounge up to have for sale. I'm also bringing the protflios to show off the original art from Nerd Inferno. Hope to see some of you folks there.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the signing yesterday at Forbidden Planet NYC. The two hour signing stretched to five and a half hours by the time I got to everyone. Appreciate the folks at FPNY and everyone who had the patience to stand on line to get their books signed and sketched in. I had a terrific time but am a very tired old boy.
NEXT WEEK: The NERD INFERNO TOUR continues at the New Dorp Comic Con held in my stomping grounds of Staten Island, NY. Or Satan Island. Or Shaolin Island. I'll be bunking next to the folks from JHU COmics, where the tour kicked off last week. I'll be there the entire show and I declined to do a panel because last year things got busy and I wasn't able to really talk to everyone. Will it be as busy this year? I don't know! Come out and get your copy of Nerd Inferno signed and sketched up by little old me. Getting littler and older every day. Hope to see some folks there next week!

Reminder: Nerd Inferno Signing At Forbidden Planet NYC Tomorrow.
Or, tecnically, later today, as I'm posting this after getting home from signing the last of the online orders at JHU Comics.
I'll be at Forbidden Planet NYC from 5 - 7 pm, along with my pens and my wristbrace.
Hope to see some of you folks there. It's a short signing compared to what I normally sit for but if people show up and there's a line we'll make sure everyone gets their stuff signed. I've finished a signing on the street outside a shop before. If no one shows up and there's no line I'll check my Animal Crossing Pocket Camp and go home on the ferry in tears.
Thanks to everyone who came out to JHU Comics for the Nerd Inferno release party yesterday. It was the busiest I've ever been at a store signing, obviously it helped that it was also Free Comic Book Day but I started signing online orders at around 11:30 and after doors opened at noon the line continued until about 8 pm. I signed/sketched the entire time without a break. There were people there from San Francisco and Ohio who made the trip as part of their NYC plans, folks drove in from Connecticut and Pennsylvania, and there was a cosplayer dressed as Mandi from the Eltingville epilogue.
I wasn't able to get back to the online orders so I'll be going back to JHU sometime this week to personalize and sketch the remaining books. It'll be my third time stopping by to sign online orders and prints. I'm not complaining, they have moved a lot of copies and I have enjoyed everything. People really came out in support, they had a record FCBD day and we moved all the copies of the Beasts of Burden Omnibus as well as a pile of back issues of Instant Piano, Pirate Corp$!/Hectic Planet, Blackwood, an $80 first printing of Milk & Cheese #1, their last Blackwood Library Edition, copies of Catacomb of Torment etc. It meant a lot to us all. I signed a copy of Fight-Man and a Rom #37 with my fan art in the letters page. When I go back to the store there's still a copy of Greed #6 with the first appearance of Milk & Cheese for me to sign. Forty years of my life.
Next week's tour stop is Forbidden Planet NYC, Saturday May 9th, 5-7 pm. The week after that is the New Dorp Comic Con back on Staten Island. The week after that is TBA, in a state possibly near you. And the week after that is the Forest Hills Comic Con in Queens, NYC. Then Four Color Fantasies in Winchester VA June 20th.
Image above: Along with folks coming to the signing I got to meet Clover, a 15 yr-old dachshund.
