Honestly, it’s sadder for them than it is for me. Imagine not knowing true art when you hear it… Sad, really. [He nods a little as he listens to Eva, a smile never leaving his lips.] Yeah, I can understand that more than you’d think. Home’s always home, whether we like it or not. [Wes chuckles softly.] Why thank you! I like being the one and only. Can you imagine how Jameses around the world must feel? Having to compete with each other to become a poignant memory? Not many Wesleys, so I’m never mistaken for anyone. Ah, don’t you worry. Your secret is safe with me, Eva.

Well you know what they say, many great artists’ true abilities take years to be recognised, so they’ll come around eventually...or they’ll move, and you’ll get new neighbours to sing to. [nods] There’s no place like home! [laughs] That’s probably why there’s so many variations of the name! Jimmy, Jim, Jaime, Jimbo...Jay! [grins] I feel like we’ve had a very good bonding session here.

Wow, for once I’m glad I don’t share a bed with anyone. Staying up watching tik toks is my self care. I can just see that whole mess with ticket Master and my chemical romance happening again with one direction.

It is self care, isn’t it?! I can’t believe I used to laugh about it and now I’m one of those who isn’t sure I could go a day without watching at least one...and we’re at the point now where the videos get posted to instagram, facebook and twitter because they’re just so good. [sighs] You’re so right...it’ll be a complete nightmare, and even though I know it’ll be a nightmare, I will still probably get up and try and get tickets and go through the stress!

*he laughed* I wonder if she even remembers us. 

[laughs] Probably not, but I’ll definitely always remember her.

It depends on the day. Some days I’m more nervous than excited, other days it’s the other way around, or it’s about even.

That’s doable… wait no, I have to walk the dogs.

When’s the anniversary? I’ll make sure to stay inside that day.

I am excited! We’re trying to put the finishing touches on everything.

We should’ve taken the lady’s number who asked if we were a couple...she could’ve given a speech at our future wedding.

Hm… that’s true. I’m a firm believer in fate. I believe that everyone’s lives are planned out and we are just acting out our pre-determined lives. 

Oh really? So...you were always destined to kiss me on the plane?

Do you believe in luck?

I think so. I mean, to get most places in life you do have to work hard and go after what you want...but some people just seem to be...luckier than others. Whether it be a chance meeting that brings up an opportunity or...take a casino - it’s not the best example but...some people go in and lose everything. They can have been playing poker for years, but still lose...and then you could have a complete beginner walk in and triple their money. That’s definitely more luck than skill, I think.

No! Tik Tok is such a dangerous vortex. I’ve been guilty of watching Tik Toks for like forty minutes without even blinking it’s so horrible. I think an EP of three to five songs could bring world peace.

It’s when you hear the birds start singing and you haven’t gone to bed. It’s when I’m in bed with Christian and he’s blissfully aslerep so I put headphones it, but sometimes it’s actually so hard not to laugh. [nods] So much world peace. Although a tour would be chaos.

I’ve heard The Wanted was doing the same– why am I admitting to this too!

[laughs, feeling a slight tinge to her cheeks] It feels bad but I guess we’re just too excited! I dunno, I think nine years ago it wasn’t so weird when I was busy fangirling because...I was a teenager. I’m a grown adult now...and I’m still getting ridiculously excited by the prospect of five boys with floppy hair having a reunion.

Not everyone can appreciate pure artistry, even when it’s right under their noses. [He winks, playful.] Hey, experience is still experience, whether it turns out well or not. I’m glad it’s mostly been good, though. Stanford’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, it’s good that you took it and got over whatever hurdles held you back. Moving to Los Angeles, though… That’s the dream, isn’t it? [Wesley scoffs, a grin spreading across his lips.] God, no. At my age too, it would just be inappropriate… Maybe even sad. But beyond that, they’re just so ugly. I haven’t seen a snapback look flattering on anyone. Eva… that’s a pretty name. You don’t hear that often. I knew you’d keep my secret safe, because I kind of know yours too. Unless being a One Direction stan is your pride and joy, that is.

Give them a few years and they might come around, you never know! [laughs softly] It is beautiful there. It’s a completely different way of living...and Stanford was always my dream since I was a little girl. Obviously, it’s not so ideal that it is so far away...not like I can pop home for the weekend if I’m getting a bit homesick, you know? But that was more of an issue in the first year. I’m pretty accustomed now. [blushes and tucks her hair behind her ear] ...well thank you...I could say the same about Wesley. You’re the only Wesley I know, actually. [grins and shakes her head] No no, you’re right...it’s a guilty pleasure that, whilst I don’t mind people knowing, I’m not going to write it on my CV.
