People sort of don't believe in lesbians. You gotta do some crazy extreme dyked up stuff to even begin to be recognised as liking girls. Telling your friend how hot she is and how much you love her and planning your life together all while holding and caressing each other? Friendship goals!! Making out with her at every opportunity? ALL straight friends do this!!!
I don't know it just feels like you gotta go full raging bulldyke and constantly label yourself as a lesbian and make it your whole thing and make sure all your relationships with women are extremely obviously and explicitly romantic and sexual just to be taken seriously and recognised as a proper relationship and not just seen as "girls kissing their female friends phase!! friendship!!".
And thats where that whole stereotype of lesbians moving so fast and saying I love you on the first date and getting married after a week and doing all kinds of extreme stuff so fast comes from too; because you've got to do so much more just to have it be seen as a real relationship.
I remember mentioning to a boy who was interested in me that I had made out with this girl earlier that week, and then later on that same day the boy asked me out and was shocked and surprised when I told him I was a lesbian. What??
I swear I could paint my face the colours of the lesbian flag and scissor a woman in the middle of the street and someone would still call it friendship goals!
