Guys, I really didn’t posted anything in like ages (my bad) so I was thinking “why do not come around again with the thing I love most?”. So yeah, this is another parallels thing, yes it’s about GOT, yes is about the Starks (but not only!!)
SPOILER ALERT FOR BASICALLY ALL GOT!
Have you ever noticed that the ways the twincest kids died reflected something bad happened to the stark children because of the Lannister??
1. THE RED AND THE PURPLE WEDDING
This one is easy: Robb dies at a wedding (supposed to be his), betrayed by someone he believed an ally(the freys), in circumstances in which he was supposed to be very safe (he had ate the bread and the salt, he was with all his best soldiers, etc…). Same thing for Joeffry: his wedding this time, betrayed by Olenna and Baelish after he believed he had won over everyone, killed in front of the King’s Guard.
2. THE NEVER HAPPY AFTER
Did someone need to be reminded of what happened to Sansa in king’s landing? Abused by the family supposed to become her in law and from the very betrothed himself, she sees her dreams of princes and balls and love shuttered. And Myrcella? Killed by the Sands (that she adored, at least in the books) when she was going to marry the boy she was in love with and reconcile with her parents.
3. THE BOYS WHO FELL
No need of explanation I think: Bran is brutally pushed down the tower by Jaime, and how Tommen dies? jumping off the king’s tower after the explosion of the sept.
Don’t make me say anything about my baby Rickon…
DISCLAIMER
I cried as an idiot when both Myrcella and Tommen died, they were just kids used for others’ research of power and vengeance. But ohh Joeffrey (and Tywin), that was pure karma.
