I. It was heaven to be in his arms. All day, Jonathan was off-limits and Jennifer’s frustration was only partly manufactured. Her panties became damp whenever he was near and her core pulsed whenever he grinned in her direction.

He was mouth-wateringly forbidden.

His skin slipped against hers and the lengthy separation they’d endured heightened every sensation until she was tingling from head to foot. He was firm and hot and heavy against her belly. She whimpered and her teeth rasped over the stubble on his chin.

His tongue slipped between her lips just as his knee parted her thighs.

Finally.

II. Jonathan couldn’t help the playful words, the teasing tone. But there was no laughter when he slipped the ring on Jennifer’s finger. Missing her had been a physical ache, and her nearness now made him ache in a different way.

He was harder than he could remember being in a long time, his body reaching for hers even as she draped herself over his chest and nibbled at his chin.

“I need you,” He rasped into her hairline. He was a man starved and she was a decadent buffet.
