god I'm such a slut for Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce *decides itâs inaccurate to refer to myself as a slut in light of my minimal sexual activity* if The Enemy discovered my ardor for Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce, they would gain a significant strategic advantage
Todayâs discovery: I have my first gray hairs!!
Iâll need to try to get a picture but itâs not showing up on camera, but itâs the most beautiful silver like my dadâs and it looks like hair tinsel in the sunlight.
Guys, I lived long enough to get gray hair đđ
You know, Iâm not autistic but sometimes people think I am because Iâm blunt or something but really Iâm just German
Something something about how other peoples cultural norms are often seen as some kind of disorder or something.
I mean my German-Russian/Scandinavian family is just straightforward and doesnât show a lot of emotion because thatâs what we do?
Itâs like how in some cultures any eye contact at all is rude and those people have a difficult time adjusting to cultures where eye contact is expected.
Like armchair diagnosing people based on surface level behaviors is kind of rude also in my opinion.
I donât care if Iâm autistic or not. I mean Iâm not, but it wouldnât matter to me if I was. My point is that behavior outside of what you personally expect doesnât necessarily mean anything about a person. And also maybe donât armchair diagnose strangers on the internet.
Delighted to inform you that this quiz exists:
A rigorous diagnostic. 15 questions. One uncomfortable truth.
As I thought.
N-No, I would never wake up the babiesâŚ
This is the first arbitrary barrier in this series I will accept
Kanto: this path is blocked by a giant sleeping snorlax. you cannot wake up the snorlax except with the use of a very specific tool (which you obtained by fighting your way through a tower full of ghosts). and even after snorlax wakes up you have to either defeat it in battle and/or catch it before you can get through
Galar: could I wake these wooloo? physically, yes, probably wouldnât be much of a challenge. but emotionally? imagine the toll

I Defeated the Demon Lord but it Turns Out the Demon Army was Largely Unaffected and I Fell Victim to a Flawed Belief in Great Man Theory
DID I HEAR RECIPE EXCHANGE???
(Context: I've had to figure out how to make Real Food out of random canned stuff. So I'm ALL about recipes right now.)
Sushi Rice Bowl For Nefarious Porpoises:
Rice, any (short-grain is traditional but do ya thing), a you-serving size. (Some people eat like 1/4 c dry, sometimes I eat 1 c dry, it really depends on whatever your body is doing)
Seasoned rice vinegar, a few tbsp.
Fish or meat. Spam with teriyaki sauce is excellent. Seasoned tuna packs. Seafood salad. Beef stir fry. You cannot go wrong here if you are pure of heart and Uncle Sam has given you your great-grandmother's attitude to good that helped invent the enchilada.
Seaweed snacks or sushi wraps. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. IT WILL NOT TASTE RIGHT WITHOUT THIS. SUSHI BOWL, NOT POKE. SEAWEED IS DIFFERENT HERE.
Veggies: match to the meats, or just shrug and eat an entire pack of sushi ginger.
Method:
Cook rice until done. Put in a bowl or plastic baggie with rice vinegar. Mix gently and allow to cool.
If you're marinading your meats or veggies, so you can assemble this later for lunch, do so in separate baggies. One baggie per sauce. (This is when a seaweed snack pack helps--you don't need to do more than toss it into your lunchbox.)
When you get hungry, dump the rice in a bowl (or just use a very large baggie for the rice and put everything in it). Rip up the seaweed and add to rice, followed by meat, followed by vegetables.
Eat. Discover that insane bad ideas taste great.
My apolgies to anyone with dignity.
Oh, friend. You've come to the right place. I love this! It reminds me a lot of my single-serve sushi bakes recipe (which, with the exception of the cream cheese, is all shelf-stable stuff). My tomato & white bean soup with a fuckton of garlic is also mostly just two cans. But the first recipe I thought of is one I make about every other week because of how simple, healthy, filling, and delicious it is:
BEANS-AND-GREENS SKILLET WITH SUNDRIED TOMATOES
(adapted from BudgetBytes)
normally I would not just screenshot myself and post it here but itâs Friday and Iâm feeling lazy
Gosh I hate the sun. Itâs stolen everything from me, including my electrolytes. I needed those.
Helios give me back my water you bastard
Iâm currently recovering from heat exhaustion and everyone whoâs ever tried to convince me that summer heat is good actually owes me five dollars.
oh fuck... the adderall has hit my system... the change, it's happening... grRRRGH...!! get away from me, before it's too late...!!
(flails on the ground, then stands up and does the dishes)

âWhy are you scared of datingâ Iâm not scared of dating, I just havenât found anyoneâs company to be more enjoyable than my own. And also I donât care
I just don't want anyone to steal my very cursed amulet
Also the amulet
Is that you talking? Or the amulet? Are you SURE a new hand doesn't want to touch the beacon?
The amulet and I are not currently looking for a third
I saw this perfectly in my head and had to recreate it
Holy Shit
[the most low energy you have ever seen me] weâre about to go crazy mode
i should work on this piece... what if these were two sided keychains

Itâs important to know that hijab is banned in schools in most of the european countries, such as france, belgium, switzerland etc. Millions of girls have to take their hijab off everyday in order to have access to education, and I am one of them. Please spread this as much as possible, it has become so normal here that I feel like a fool for even mentioning it, but Iâm pretty sure it goes against the human rights. This senseless law has been on since 2004 and pretends that all the students have to be âequalâ and it is prohibited to show that you belong to any religion, any religious sign must be set aside. However, most of us have to take our hijab off in schools where you can clearly see a christmas tree or a christian cross. âYeah but itâs not the sameâ, they say. Tell me about double standards. I pray for days when we donât have to chose between religion and education.
This, but donât read the notes. Itâs all just French people and/or Catholics going âIâm totally not racist or antisemitic, itâs just that I think that Xmas, a holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus, is secular, whereas a Muslim or Jew wearing a hijab or kippah is somehow forcing their religion on me by existing in public.â LOL
thank you for the warning because i have no energy to deal with islamophobia today, and YES. THIS. ALL OF IT. not to mention that a cross is something you can easily tuck under a shirt if necessary without compromising your values, whereas a muslim woman having to choose between her hijab and education (who will not be faulted for taking it off in the eyes of Allah SWT) absolutely is compromising her values. itâs disgusting
france, switzerland, belgium, quebec: do better. all of you
