thinking about how life really is just about connections. how connections are what make life worth living. connections to people, to places, to things, to music, to films. how these connections can make you feel so much, and how beautiful that is.

it feels weird that a lot of us subscribe to this idea that there is actually an ultimate definite goal for who we want to be?? the concept that once we get to that point, we’ll stay that way forever and never change again!!? but the truth is??? we’re always changing, whether we realise it/are consciously doing it or not. you meet new people, go to new places, learn new information, listen to new bands, make new memories that you don’t even realise are the ones you’ll love the most - all of these things will inevitably shape and change you throughout your entire life. there isn’t any true ‘destination’, you’re constantly evolving. but that doesn’t mean you can’t be who you want, you’ll just realise along the way that there’s new things you want to be too!!

there’s love in long messages. in late night phone calls. love when laughs echo around us. when we dance. there’s love woven into your “i saw this and thought of you” or “i can give you the space you need” or “i am here”. there’s love in your eyes when you understand. and in your smile when you don’t but still try to. it’s in the food we share. flowing through the tips of our fingers when we touch. and intertwining when our thoughts flow together. there’s love captured in our photographs and even better, in our memories. days pass and there is love. always love, still.
