Forgiving you doesn't mean I understand why you hurt me. It means I'm dealing with what you have done and trying to make peace with it, for me. It means you no longer have a place in my life only in my heart.

I still miss him, no matter how much time goes by, no matter how much I hurt; I always miss him. Even though we don't talk, in those moments, everything becomes water under the bridge. I won't think of anything short of just running into his arms and making a home there. The truth is, it's positively scary loving someone so wholeheartedly when you don't want to. My heart feels heavy, knowing on a soul level that despite the pain inflicted, that nothing ever feels like a good enough reason to not still love him. And so, I continued loving him every minute of every damn day. My heart grew accustomed to the type of love that we had, and my soul will always crave his presence. I tried to let go, but I just love that man so much, I think a part of me always will.
