Now I can't stop thinking on how OgCale would love Christmas, because this absolute fool would totally take advantage of the "gifts are supposed to appear (be left by the parents when the children aren't looking) under the tree/at home" tradition to leave gifts to the people he cares about without anyone knowing it was him.

In a modern AU (because I doubt a non-Earth world would have Christmas), he would even keep loving it and doing similar stuff after he moved out of his family's home. He'd play secret santa for the neighbours/college classmates he's fond of, just he's the only one who knows he's playing. Or who is playing at all.

He's so much of a loving person. He'd love to have an excuse to shower his loved ones in love without risking his lout act.

-Something to keep her warm on winter to the nice old lady who always greets him no matter what anyone says.

-Something for the cat that keeps breaking in through his window to nap on his chest.

-Something for the utterly stressed guy who likes to bake at unholy hours because the poor guy, whoever he is, sounds like he needs more joy in his life.

-Something for that money-loving guy who is constantly looking at everyone like they wanted to hurt him.

-He obviously has already make arrangements for his family's gifts.

-Something for the swimming club leader who lets him use the pool at odd hours, never giving him shit about it besides the occasional invitation to the club.

And after he's done with those, he'll put a hat and a scarf to hide his face and hair before wandering aimlessly, just observing other people's happiness. He always returns to his room a little more tired and colder than before, but these kinds of memories always make him feel better when he's too trapped in his own head.

#he'd love any excuse to go gift giving without anyone suspecting he was behind it. on the other side. i think he wouldn't know how to react if someone gave him a genuine gift

#ofc guy full of love trapped in a hell of his own creation would love any reason to let that love out. i mean. the two times we see him in canon he doesn't stop smiling and being way too joyous for someone who went through that. you can't convince me he isn't a softie

We all know that Deruth is currently incapable of actually communicating with his son. For reference, I believe that he has a strained relationship and with minimal communication for almost a decade (starting from when he lost his mother (8-ish) to his in-universe age (being 18).

My question is, when do you think Deruth will have the guts to simply initiate an authentic, heartfelt and open convo with his kid? Keep in mind that in the real world, 18 yrs old is legal and people are capable of striking on their own and are not obliged to keep in touch with their parents., Let's imagine that this applies to new adult Og!cale. And yes, no KRS coming over for this poll (sorry).
