Iâll Be Watching You (Nora &Â Pyrrha)
@erranthonoremâ is following you!
  It was⌠strange, being somewhat resurrected by a force you had never expected nor met. It was even stranger to be dropped onto the face of a place (universe? planet?) that you had only ever heard fairytales of. It had thrown Pyrrha for a loop when she awoke in Wonderland, and the huntress was struggling to readjust to not only a life outside of Remnant, but a life at all.Â
  And she wasnât the only one who had taken notice - someone had been following her. It had started with believing she heard extra footsteps echoing behind her as she left Wonderland Haven that morning, but by that night she was hyper aware of the body that barrel rolled into the bushes every time she so slightly turned her head to glance back at them. Pyrrha exercised caution, as anyone being stalked should do, and made four distinct right turns, effectively traveling in one giant circle. The figure followed. Pyrrha became certain then; she wasnât just being paranoid, she was being watched.
  It wasnât until the huntress passed a dog lying lazily in the evening sun as she tried to gather the courage to activate her aura (she hadnât used it since waking, she feared it no longer worked) that the epiphany struck her. The squeal that echoed from behind her and the various sound bytes of excitement were too familiar, too close to her heart, and the breath left her chest in one swift motion. Turning on the heel she dug into the sidewalk, Pyrrha spun around and stared at her perpetrator. The figureâs back was towards her, bent down and utterly focused on the puppy, but her hair and mannerisms were unmistakeable. So was the cake she held in one hand. Pyrrha shook her head at the image, as if she believed she was seeing things. Nora Valkyrie was crouching just before her. Her old teammate, her best friend⌠someone she never got to say goodbye to.
  Is this some kind of strange dream? The huntress wondered, though she inched closer with quiet steps. Even if it was, Nora was here. Pyrrha could make things right, even if it was only in her imagination. âNora,â She spoke on a breath when she was close enough to, a trembling hand reaching out to gently rest on the girlâs shoulder. Her eyes pricked with tears, though they remained dormant, as the warmth of her skin spread across her fingertips, confirming the reality of it all. A smile broke apart her features.  âHello again, Nora.â
  The first time Nora had seen her she was positive that she had just been seeing things. She was in a new strange world after all, she didnât know how things worked her, she didnât know what evils lurked in the corner, she didnât know anything. Even if everyone told her Wonderland was a bright and happy place, she learned things werenât always as it seemed.
  The second time she saw her, she had run after her, but had quickly lost sight of her. It couldnât be her after all, no matter what it was impossible and Nora had to drill that into her head several times before she stopped thinking about the girl and stopped that hope from rising. Pyrrha was dead, and not even this strange world could change that no matter how badly she wanted it.
  That was why the third time she saw her she followed her, this time never turning away or losing sight of her. She had to find out who this person was after all, find out why she looked so much like her best friend, and put an end to the hope that always bubbled up inside of her when she saw her.Â
  Of course she had failed at keeping a constant eye on her a few times, it wasnât her fault that the bakeryâs they passed always smelled so sweet and sheâd give in to quickly get herself a nice little treat! You couldnât do detective work on an empty stomach after all!! And she wasnât gonna be a jerk and ignore anyone that asked her for help and what not! She was a huntress after all, helping people is what she did!! It didnât matter how many times she got distracted anyways, she always found the girl again not long after and she was back to her mission.Â
  It was starting to get late now though, and Nora knew she was going to have to approach the red head sooner or later to get her answer, she just wasnât sure how. She was following her a few feet behind, using the shadows to keep herself hidden when sheâd suddenly heard a small bark. Instantly her attention was drawn to the cutest puppy ever in front of her and she wouldnât help but squeal in delight! She had been chosen by this sweet little thing and she instantly got on her knees to give the thing so much love.
   âWell arenât you just the most cutest and adorablest thing in the world!!!â She baby talked the puppy, making baby noises as she rubbed itâs belly. Her mission completely gone from her mind until she heard her name spoken just above a whisper, followed by a hand on her shoulder. Instantly her head snapped up towards the taller girl, eyeâs wide in utter shock as she faced the girl who she knew shouldnât be standing in front of her. It couldnât be her, she knew this with all her heart, but yet here she was. She hadnât changed at all it seemed, still looked the way she had when they were in the Vital Festival.
  âPyrrha?.....Is that really you?â Tears began to form in her eyes as she took everything in. The warmth in her hand, the smile on her face, the tears that threatened to fall from her own eyes as if she knew that this shouldnât be possible yet here they were reuniting once again.Â
  She didnât wait for her reply, she knew in her heart that it was her. That whatever magic had brought them here had also brought Pyrrha back somehow. She suddenly tackled her into the ground, hugging her with all her strength as her tears finally fell. âOh Pyrrha!!! I canât believe this!! I canât- Youâre here!! I missed you so much!!â
