Another tear falls down her cheek as her breath hitches, giving a quick sniff as Gwen glances towards the open door, seeing the faint outline of a female in the shadows. Whoever it was didn't trust her- and honestly Gwen wasn't sure if she could believe anything differently herself.

She's about to speak towards the shadow until she catches his finger twitching upwards. Immediately Gwen's hands move to wrap around his, choking out a small sob when he is able to whisper out her name.

Jake knows that all he has to do i wait out his injuries, but the ever looming threat was still ever present in the back of his mind. Worse now, that another someone he cared for might be in it's path now.
