Ally told Igraine she could come over to her apartment, that she could help her shower, do her hair in the privacy of a home and not the staff bathroom at work, but Igraine insisted on this. Why? Ally wasn't sure, but there must have been a reason. Either way, it didn't feel right to push; they were becoming friends, for sure, but they weren't close enough yet for Ally to feel comfortable asking every question that came to mind. She learned a long time ago sometimes her curiosity could be a bit overwhelming to some.

Her hands were deep in Igraine's curls, fingers scrubbing shampoo through her scalp. "Of course," she nodded. "I don't have curly hair, but my mom does. I've got you covered." She'd watched her mom do her hair enough to have a basic idea of a curl routine. "I'm sure he was. He must have been. You pressed charges on the guy, right?"

It felt good to have someone else's fingers in her hair, but she hated the lack of control. It was pushing her to the edge, and now she had to adjust to working in a sling for the next few weeks. It wasn't a long time in the grand scheme of things, but her shoulder had always been sensitive since the IED. It just felt humiliating. "Thank you," she mumbled. "It's hard when people don't know how to help with it. I used to ruin my hair straightening it when I was a teenager instead of just learning to take care of it."

She's not even sure if the hospital was pressing charges or not. She'd just given a statement, and no one had walked her through the steps yet. "I'm not sure. I just know that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and suddenly I'm hitting the wall and my shoulder's out."

There were plenty of things she didn't have to do, and even though sometimes she still did them in a professional setting...checking on a friend wasn't one of those things. She'd seen the tension in Trinity's shoulders when she'd walked off.

Quinten sighed softly, his face nuzzled into the top of her head. "I'll stay as long as you want me too."

He kept her pulled tight to him there was a comfort in it. Holding her close felt good, like she was meant to be there in his arms. It was a wonder how he'd ever managed to leave her side when she was here with him. Q was respectful and didn't want to be there if she didn't want him to be. "We'll talk about it in the morning, okay?"

He kissed the top of her head, "get some sleep..."

Igraine did sleep peacefully, so much so that when she woke up still pressed against Quinten, she blinked awake, surprised. He'd stayed the entire night with her. The advantage of being an early riser was that she was able to indulge herself a bit and look at him. She liked the slope of his nose and the way his lips looked when he was completely at ease. It was too easy to want to lean up and kiss him, so she settled for tucking her face back against his chest.

She settled another hour before finally stretching and looking up at him, "Quinten, I think we have to get up soon."

"Well, good. I need to know what you're up to." he murmured, well aware that he was terrible at responding in anything like a timely manner. If you needed his attention, you called him. If you actually needed his attention, you called Dana, and she would make sure Robby called you back. But maybe for Igraine, he could try, right? He could try. For as long as he had service.

"I… a drink sounds… good." he said, finally, clearing his throat, dismissing dinner out of hand. That was too personal. Too little chance of escape. A drink at a bar sounded better, as little as he liked being in bars generally, because it was a neutral space. No obligation. "Don't let me put you out cooking for me, I'm a picky bastard." he joked.

She bit the inside of her cheeks, trying not to smile too much. Robby was sweet, seemingly indulging her while she yapped about texting him too much. "You're going to want to hear all about how I had a paper clip, a napkin, and a string of hope to patch up some of these guys," she teased him lightly.

Resources were few, not like when they were on base over here.

"A drink is good," she repeated. "I don't mind though, the dinner. I'm pretty picky too," she wasn't going to explain her varying palette. Vegetarian some months and a meat eater others. "But I won't hold you hostage at my place, Robby. We'll just go get a regular drink," she assured. The way he'd said it she wasn't sure if she made him nervous or if she'd just overstepped a boundary she hadn't known was drawn.

Still, she respected it. "Are you okay going somewhere local around here after our shift sometime?"
