Hi!First of all, I literally read your question like 20 times because it felt like I was reading a letter from my younger self. You sound sooo much like I did when I first decided to go to law school. So I can definitely relate to all the fear and uncertainty you are feeling. Here's the thing, I was supposed to be a doctor. I've been telling people I was going to be a Doctor since I was 5 years old. My dad is a doctor so it was the only dream job I allowed myself to think about. It became part of my identityBut, If I had taken the time to see all the signs the universe was throwing my way, I would have realized sooner that this dream wasn't right for me. Choosing the right career means (among other things) picking something you 1. Are good at and 2. Actually like to doI find science interesting but I never really excelled in science like I did in my writing courses. Writing always came easy to me. Science was a struggle.If you are finding yourself in a similar situation don't think of it as you aren't trying HARD enough in science... Instead, Think of it as the universe telling you that you have a gift for writing. Sometimes we ignore the signs of our God given talent because we are trying too hard to mold ourselves into something we are not. An idea of who we want to be.I was so scared of switching majors that I NEVER DID. I graduated with a bachelors of science and suffered the whole time. It really took a took on me emotionally because I thought I just wasn't smart enough when truthfully I was ignoring the things I was good at. Not science. Writing. I won't lie to you.. You might always wonder what if. And that's just because its always hard to let dreams go. Even if they are the wrong ones.I took a leap of faith and I am happy now and I'm doing great. Whatever you decide... Remember this: it's never never NEVER too late to change your mind. Take a chance on yourself. P.S. It might be a good idea to get a little taste of what you're getting into. Work in a Law office, watch the Good Wife, read Supreme Court decisions etc. Good luck ❤️
