In things that are ephemeral

my headcanon is that he has A LOT of nasty scars from the red death fight. his people saw them as the symbol of his victory but everytime he looks at them he just remembers the sheer dread of almost dying, his mind filling with "what ifs".

he may have gotten used to his leg, but the burn marks were another story entirely. he almost never talks about them and like to keep it hidden under clothes most of the time.

They're kids and I find it hilarious and I need more fics of them just coexisting. The show is for kids so they couldn't show it, but I'm obsessed with the idea of one of them being hurt. Bc they're have to deal with it in-house, at least at first, bc Berk is, what? 10 hours away or so?

If you leave a bunch of eighteen year olds to do first aid, what you're going to get is a bunch of jokes to try to lighten the mood, a lot of cursing, and someone vomiting bc Viking-era first aid is not for the feint of heart.
