Sometimes I remember how Aomine was the one to pull Kuroko into the GoM friend group, how he yelled at Haizaki when he took food from Kuroko's plate, how he was so distraught over not being able to recieve his passes anymore, how he only uses a nickname for Kuroko, that nickname being Tetsu, how he brought him a drink since he looked tired, how he slammed a guy against the lockers for talking shit about Kuroko, how he brought a brand new pair of shoes for his rival because Kuroko asked him to, how he taught him to shoot baskets, how he understands how Kuroko functions enough to confidently tell a guy "You'll lose, because you made Tetsu mad," how he yelled encouraging words at him in a stadium full of people, how he cried during the Rakuzan game–

Aki to Haru (Autumn and Spring) - Chiaki Kobayashi x Shuichiro Umeda fanfiction

Summary:

Everyone is born with a kanji on their wrist that reveals the season of their soulmate. Chiaki Kobayashi was born in spring, yet bears the mark of autumn—秋. Shuichiro Umeda was born in autumn, yet carries the mark of spring—春. For years, both of them have believed the marks point toward someone else. Then they meet, and the kanji begin to fade. Perhaps fate made a mistake. Or perhaps some people are destined not to complete each other, but to help each other remember the parts of themselves they thought were lost.

Notes: I made it because Chiaki has an autumn-like personality, but ironically, he was born in the last Spring or early Summer. Meanwhile, Shuichiro has a spring-like (or rather summer-like) personality, but he was born in the Autumn. It's really the other way around, isn't it? So that's why I made about soulmates AU with the different vibes like ever. And maybe, they are the real soulmates who was met in The Summer Hikaru Died (?).

SPOILERS for sub-chapter 47-2.

How could I even begin explaining the tremendous amount of importance regarding our characters this chapter holds? It's such a fresh breath of resolution between Yoshiki and "Hikaru", putting an ending in uncertainties and assumptions which could be found in "Hikaru" after what happened in the cave. And putting an ending in Yoshiki's hesitation to let his feelings and emotions out and allow himself to be vulnerable in front of his person.

What's stricken me much is the fire of Yoshiki's soul dancing in his eyes with such fleece determination and brightness. I don't think we've ever seen him more determined and certain about anything than the fact that "For him too, 'Hikaru' is the one he loves the most", and that 'Hikaru' is the only one who's ever made it feel easier for him to breathe".

The desperation in his shining eyes as he's letting it all out, finally is striking. It feels like catharsis.

He's decided on Hikaru and letting him know he loves him as well. I love the fact that Yoshiki's pupils are dilated here. He's all for it with everything he has.

I also adore the fact that they communicate using telepathy with "Hikaru" maybe asking something of the sorts of "Do you hate me/Don't you hate me?", and Yoshiki reassuring him gently, intimately and simply with a "Mm? Nah, that's not true".

And "Hikaru" in all this? His sole focus is Yoshiki, not taking his gaze off him for a moment. The fact of it showing emotions even though it's an illegitimate which normally don't express emotions shows how much its human experience has influenced and mixed with it. And you can see a whole lots of emotions running through it in seconds: Hesitation, uncertainty, devotion, love. He needed to listen to such words so, so much.

And also, I want to celebrate the updated manga of the Summer Hikaru Died chapter 47.2, and also to celebrate Yoshikaru (Yoshiki x 'Hikaru'), who are just officially confirmed as a canon couple this date (June 9).

Seems like I have no regret about writing this fic, even though it's about their seiyuus, not Yoshikaru themselves... LOL!
