I’m sorry but Mark’s plot armor in Invincible is becoming a joke at this point
I like Invincible, I really do. And I know the plot armor is something that simply has to exist, especially in superhero comics or shows. I’m ready to accept any explanation, any miraculous resurrection. But not this. Not Thragg stopping himself from blowing up Mark’s skull because the viltrumites are dying out. I mean, yes, he’s right, but at this point what difference would Mark and Nolan really make? They’re like a major threat to Viltrum, they literally destroyed their planet, he could have simply killed them and then started the repopulation on Earth. That scene simply destroyed the mood for me, and even Thragg’s credibility. I don’t give a sh*t if he’s strong, considering he’s also the classic dumb antagonist who will probably be the cause of his own downfall because he didn’t kill the hero when he had the chance. The worst thing about this is that it happened two episodes after Mark also got literally eviscerated by Conquest and somehow still survived, but at least in that case you could say “oh well’ he’s a viltrumite, he can recover”. In Thragg’s case you can only think “oh, there it is, the plot armor moment”.
