Walking out of the store with box of cake,making my way to an alley way. It was your friend’s birthday Masami, you took a trip The cold wind hitting my face making me shiver.

When walking the feeling of eyes on you, the sensation that something is wrong, wondering if you're overacting or being silly. Paranoid takes over and you'll keep looking around. You turn around and see a man in his mid 30s from the store you have just left. Digging in your pockets while speed walking, nothing,your phone is not with you making you panic. You saw a tall boy in the distance making you run to him.

You cling onto his arm, making the tall boy confused. 

-I was looking for you- you said

The turned around to see the man who was following you behind. He look back you understanding the atmosphere you were in.

-let’s head home now- the boy said 

The silence between you two was loud until the boy speak up. “Where are you headed off too” him said. “I’m headed off to my friend house, today is her birthday.” You said, “so I’m guessing in that bag your holding is a cake right?!”.

“Yeah..”, “umm…what’s your name?” You said to continue the conversation. “My name is Riki, yours?”, “my name is___”.

“Thats nice”, showing a simple smile. You smiled back. 

As you walk you can hear the crunch of the snow beneath each other’s feet. Riki asked about what has happened on your way to your destination, telling him the full story on how scare you were and had no choice to act like you knew him as your partner.

He told you that he was on him way to his friend’s house. Your guys conversation continued even letting out a few laughs. You guys bonded well even if you guys just met not that long ago. 

You made it to your destination safely thanks to Riki. 

“Thank you for walking me here, I don’t know how to repay you”, “No need too. Your life was in danger I’m just glad you’re safe that’s all”. You got flustered by his last words he said. “ Okay well it was nice meeting you and Thank you again”, “Nice meeting you too”. 

Turning around towards the house you were gonna enter but pause by Riki’s words. “Wait, before you leave may I have your number. I had really fun talking to you and I was just wondering if we can get to know each other more”. 

“I don’t have my phone on me right now but you can text my number if that helps”. “ yeah thats alright”. He hands you his phone, you text your own number onto his phone.

“Here I have messaged myself for you,have a safe walk” you said. “Thank you, have a nice night” he said smiling. You couldn’t help but smile.

Later that day Riki texted you: 

You talked for hours about your life and what your interests are. Ofc talking about your friend’s birthday and how it went. 

But it soon ended when it was time for him to head to bed sending a message to you.
