Summary: You take care of Wooyoung after his great performance at Coachella.
A/n: This story is completely FICTION and does not represent Wooyoung in any way. I FINALLY DID IT. Idk why it took me so long to come out with something... but either way Ima thank my PAPA (@yessa-vie) for her very INSPIRING words. 😔
You walk in the door to see your boyfriend and his members sitting on the couch in a row, with Hongjoong bending down in front of a tripod.
He takes his phone off it and slides it into his pocket.
“Hey, Baby.” Wooyoung pops up quickly, his hands are in his pocket, and you can see that his cheeks are slightly flushed.
“Hey! You did so amazing! I can’t get the way you smiled out of my head. I’m replaying your part of Crazy Form repeatedly.” You can’t believe how captivating Wooyoung and the others are.
When you found out that they were going to Coachella you were so excited. Couldn’t believe it. You were so happy for them.
They were so happy. They couldn’t stop talking about it.
“Really?” Wooyoung flashes his beautiful smile. The smile that you love so much.
“Yes! I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true. And when have I ever lied to you?”
“Okay. Got me there.”
“And I SO glad that you kept your clothes on unlike somebody…” you drag out the last word making sure the certain “somebody” you're talking about heard you.
“Hey! I look good! And I’m sure Atinys loved it!” San defends himself.
“Oh, I’m sure they did. I’m glad you were half naked. It’ll distract them from looking at what’s mine.” You put your arms over Wooyoung shoulders.
“Hmm, how are you, baby? We haven’t had time to talk all day.” Wooyoung asked you.
“I am fine, you are the one I wanna focus on right now.” You counter.
“Wait…,” you lean into Wooyoung and smell his neck. Next you look at his clothing, “ohh baby. You were sweating so much. And it was cold out. You better not get sick.”
“I’m fine I promise. Plus, I have you to take care of me.” His hands are placed on your hips, and he leans in to give you a soft tender kiss.
“Gross… you know we’re still here, right?” You hear Mingi complain.
Wooyoung softly pulls away from you and turns his head to his members, “yeah. That reminds me,” he turns back to you, “I reserved us a different apartment.”
Your eyes widen, “oh thank God! I didn’t wanna be sharing a apartment with 8 smelly men.”
“Hey!” Wooyoung wines.
“Sorry… 7 smelly men.”
He smiles and glances at your lips, his hands still placed on your hips. He pulls you closer to him and lays his lips on yours.
“Let’s bounce.”
***
“You sure they’ll be, okay?” You ask him.
“Y/n. There 8 grown men. I’m sure they can handle themselves.” Wooyoung states.
You nod your head agreeing.
On your way over to the different apartment you and Wooyoung decided to pick up some take-out.
KQ decided to go with apartments instead of regular hotel rooms since their stay would be longer than usual.
Wooyoung stripped himself of his clothes then hopped in the shower as you to him. Because he was stankin…
He lays back on the couch with his feet up as you make plates.
“Hmm, it smells so good~” he says.
You just smile.
You know how tired he is by listening to his voice, plus you know good and well that if he wasn’t he’d be trying to pick some of the food out with his hands.
He’d also fight for the bigger plate.
“Here you go, Sir.” You hand your sleepy boyfriend his large plate of food. He already had his drink placed on the coffee table beside him.
You run your hand across his bare chest and turn it softly rubbing his shoulder and following with the other hand.
“Hmm, baby. What are you doing?” Wooyoung tilts his head back, softly tapping your stomach.
His features are so breathtaking. His lips, eyes, jaw, neck. Makes you just want to kiss every part of him.
You take the way his head is leaned back as an opportunity to.
Your hands work on his tense shoulders as you explain what and why you are doing this, “Well, since you worked so hard I figured that you’d be tense, or at least sore.”
“Huh. Thank you, Y/n.”
Everything changed since he met you. He’s been having great meals, spending less time on his phone, standing up for himself. Many things that improved him.
“It feels nice~” he says softly with his eyes shut. He takes his fork and fills his face with rice.
After about 15 minutes he’s done with his food, and so are you with his shoulders.
“Hey, why don’t we watch a movie? There’s a tv in the bedroom if you prefer it in there.”
“Nah, let’s stay in here. Actually, I think I’m gonna stay in here for the rest of the night this coach is really comfortable.” You tilt your head to the side and stopped rubbing his shoulders.
“You sure? Last time you said you were going to sleep on the coach you didn’t get any sleep and could barely keep your eyes open. And we still have two more nights here. We're going to the second day of Coachella tomorrow. You need energy.” You state.
“Yea, I’m sure. I just...” You come around and sit on the couch next to him. “I didn't have you sleeping next to me last time.”
He draped his arm behind you and pulled you closer, laying a soft his to your temple. He pulls away and you look at him and smile.
“What are we watching?” You ask him.
“Terrifier.” He responds.
“Oh hell no. You're gonna be shittin’ bricks watching that. I’m going to have claw marks from you holding onto me so tightly. I don’t need these Americans thinking that you are cutting me.” Your tone is a little stronger and your eyebrows are furrowed. “Remember when we watched “IT”? You literally screamed like you just saw someone get killed in front of you.”
“Maybe because someone did?!” Wooyoung throws his hands up, with his eyebrows raised as a way to defend himself.
“Mhm.” You shake your head, disagreeing.
“Fine then,” he rolls his eyes, “we’ll watch “The Lorax”.”
Your eyes light up, “YAHH!!”. Your favorite movie is “The Lorax”.
You turn around so you're facing the TV, and your body is pressed against his. He also moves to position you both comfortably. He set his left arm under the pillow that your head was resting on and wrapped his other arm around you after he put the movie on.
He pulled you close to him before laying one final kiss to your head.

—The living room of the off-campus house was pulsing with bass-heavy music, bodies pressed wall-to-wall, red cups in hand. On the battered brown couch sat three-quarters of a chaos unit—Seonghwa, Hongjoong, and Wooyoung—drunk off their asses, and Yeosang, who might as well have been their designated babysitter, sipping the same watered-down drink for over an hour.
“Listen,” Wooyoung slurred, elbowing Hongjoong, “I’m telling you—out of all of us, I’ve had the best luck with girls.”
Hongjoong nearly spit his drink. “You literally got ghosted last week.”
“That was a fluke!” Wooyoung said, offended. “Besides, look at Seonghwa. You think he’s smooth? He’s just got that tragic pretty boy thing going on.”
Seonghwa scoffed, tipping back his cup. “Please. I could pull anyone here if I wanted to.”
Wooyoung turned his head dramatically and pointed across the room. “Except her.”
In the far corner, you sat cross-legged on a beanbag, talking animatedly with your friend, gesturing with your cup. Your laugh carried through the noise—clear, unbothered. You looked like someone who didn’t care who was watching. And that annoyed the hell out of Seonghwa.
His face twisted. “Oh, her?”
Yeosang looked up from his drink. “You mean Y/N?”
Wooyoung nodded. “Yep.”
Seonghwa rolled his eyes. “Good. I wouldn’t want to pull her.”
Hongjoong snorted. “Why? Scared?”
“Not scared,” Seonghwa muttered. “I just—don’t like her.”
“Hwa, you’ve never even talked to her,” Wooyoung pointed out, eyebrows raised.
“I don’t need to. She’s everywhere. Top of every class, president of three clubs, always with people. Perfect GPA and somehow still has time to go out and laugh at parties like she doesn’t have five deadlines tomorrow.” Seonghwa downed the rest of his drink. “People like her are fake.”
Yeosang raised an eyebrow. “So you hate her for... existing?”
Seonghwa ignored him. “She’s fake. No one is that perfect without playing a part.”
“Or maybe,” Wooyoung said, “you just can’t stand someone being better than you.”
That hit harder than he expected. Seonghwa didn’t flinch—but he didn’t answer, either.
“So,” Wooyoung grinned, pushing his luck, “what if we make it interesting?”
“Oh god,” Yeosang muttered.
Wooyoung ignored him. “You say you can pull anyone. I say you can’t pull her. So prove it.”
Seonghwa looked at him, slowly. “You want me to make her fall for me.”
“Exactly.”
Yeosang sat up straight. “That’s messed up.”
“It’s not serious—”
“You’re playing with someone’s feelings.”
“If she even falls for him,” Wooyoung said, glancing at Seonghwa. “Which she won’t. She’s smart. She’ll see right through you.”
Hongjoong looked up, frowning. “This feels kind of gross.”
Yeosang chimed in again, more serious. “Yeah. You’re drunk. She hasn’t done anything to either of you. Don’t mess with someone’s feelings because of a bruised ego.”
But Seonghwa was already watching you again, eyes narrowed. You looked so untouched by the mess around you, like you didn’t even see him.
He looked back at Wooyoung. “Fine. I’ll do it.”
Yeosang stared at him. “This is messed up.”
“Relax,” Wooyoung waved him off. “It’s just a dumb bet.”
But Seonghwa wasn’t smiling anymore. “You’re on.”
—The dorm room smelled like instant ramen and coffee. It was too small for four grown men, but no one really cared. Yeosang was lying on the floor, hoodie hood pulled over his head like a corpse in mourning. Hongjoong was perched backwards on his desk chair, arms resting on the backrest. Wooyoung had claimed the beanbag, limbs everywhere. And Seonghwa, of course, was stretched out on his bed like he paid rent for the whole place.
“Did you guys read the email yet?” Hongjoong asked, yawning. “About the project.”
“Yeah,” Yeosang mumbled from the floor. “Thought it was gonna be groups, not pairs.”
“Professor Lim said it was too chaotic last time,” Wooyoung said. “Too many slackers hiding in big groups.”
“He’s not wrong,” Seonghwa added lazily, one arm behind his head. “Half of us didn’t even read the brief last time.”
There was a pause as they all pulled out their phones. A few seconds of scrolling—and then silence.
Yeosang was the first to speak. “No way.”
Wooyoung sat up straight. “Oh my god.”
Hongjoong blinked at the screen, then slowly turned his head to look at Seonghwa.
“…What did you do?”
Seonghwa didn’t even open his eyes. “Why?”
Yeosang sat up. “You and Y/N. You’re assigned together.”
“Really?” Seonghwa said, voice perfectly blank, like he’d just heard the weather forecast. He opened one eye, mock surprise in his tone. “That’s convenient.”
Wooyoung’s jaw dropped. “Don’t play dumb. What did you do.”
Seonghwa gave a slow, smug stretch and sat up against the wall, phone still resting on his chest. “I might’ve… browsed Professor Lim’s office hours.”
“You hacked him?” Hongjoong’s voice cracked.
“Don’t be dramatic. I just… nudged the spreadsheet a little.”
“Relax,” Seonghwa said. “It’s not like I changed grades. I just made a better match.”
Yeosang ran a hand down his face. “This is so messed up.”
Seonghwa didn’t respond. He was leaning back against the wall, jaw tight with focus now, thumbing through his phone like the rest of the room didn’t exist. The buzz of the old desk fan hummed in the background, filling the silence with something just above white noise. His screen lit up—a DM notification.
From you.
He tapped it open. The message was short, polite, perfectly worded. You weren’t exactly friendly, but you weren’t cold either.
You: “Hey. Saw the partner list. When are you free to start working on the project? I’m good for evenings after 5, or weekends if needed. Let me know what works.”
Seonghwa reread it, twice. You really didn’t suspect a thing. No hint of suspicion, no passive aggression, nothing. You were just trying to be efficient.
Seonghwa: “Evenings work. Friday, maybe? Library or the cafe near campus?”
He hesitated, then sent it. Almost immediately, the typing bubble popped up.
You: “Let’s do the library. Easier to talk than in the cafe. I’ll bring the outline.”
He stared at your name in the message thread for a second, then backed out and tapped into your profile.
Your feed was clean but not curated—nothing felt fake. Study sessions at cafes, blurry photos from concerts, the occasional sunset from your dorm window. You didn’t post often, but enough. There was a rhythm to it, subtle but steady.
He scrolled through a few shots. You always had a cup with you when you studied. Sometimes tucked into the corner of the frame, other times front and center—iced coffee, mostly. Long plastic straws and condensation on the cup. Always the same place, always the same drink.
You also posted books—fiction mostly. Some film photos. A couple of shots from club events, one of you standing next to a booth you clearly helped organize, laughing at something off-camera. You looked at ease in those pictures.
He watched that photo a second too long before locking the phone and setting it face-down beside him.
This wasn’t going to be easy, not with someone like you. You didn’t try too hard. You didn’t need to. That was the difference.
But that didn’t matter. Because Seonghwa had already decided. He wasn’t backing out now. He was going to make you like him. Trust him. Fall for him.
And then?
Well.
He’d win.
—The library wasn’t packed, but there were just enough people scattered between tables to keep it from feeling dead. You’d picked a corner spot by the window—habit, really. Good lighting, fewer distractions, and easy to disappear into. Your laptop was open, and you’d already laid out your highlighters and printed notes, trying to look more focused than you felt.
Your eyes flicked to the clock in the corner of your screen.
Five minutes past.
It wasn’t a big deal. But still—you weren’t sure what to expect from Seonghwa. You didn’t know him. Not really. You’d seen him across classrooms, heard him speak when he had to. He wasn’t rude, just... hard to read. Always composed, never lingering too long in conversation. He gave the impression of someone who kept a deliberate distance.
And yet, here you were. Paired together.
You couldn’t lie—you were curious. Nervous too, maybe. You didn’t get nervous often, but something about this felt unfamiliar.
The sound of approaching footsteps broke your thoughts. You looked up.
Seonghwa walked in like he wasn’t in a rush—dark jacket layered over a hoodie, hair pushed back like he hadn’t bothered to fix it after walking in the wind. He wasn’t making an effort to look good, but somehow he still did. His expression was neutral, unreadable as always, but he was carrying two iced coffees.
He set one down in front of you.
You blinked. “You brought coffee?”
He nodded, slipping into the seat across from you. “Figured we’d be stuck here a while. Didn’t know what you liked, but this seemed safe.”
You looked down at the drink, mildly surprised. Iced coffee. Light on the milk. Just how you usually ordered it. You picked it up without thinking. “This is actually my favorite.”
His eyebrows lifted a little. “Seriously?”
“Yeah.”
He cracked the smallest smile. “Same.”
There was a small pause, not awkward, just quiet. You watched him take a sip of his own drink before leaning forward slightly to glance at your spread of notes.
“You’ve already started?” he asked.
You nodded, sliding a printed sheet across the table. “Rough ideas. I figured we’d need some kind of structure before we start writing.”
He looked it over, eyes scanning the page. “This makes sense. Clean layout.”
You were relieved he didn’t push back on anything. From there, the conversation settled into something... surprisingly easy. You discussed the angle for your project, divided tasks without tension, even threw in a few quick references to past classes that you’d both suffered through.
It wasn’t small talk, exactly, but it wasn’t stiff either. Just enough to start feeling like a real collaboration. A few times, you caught his eyes lingering—not in a weird way, just… watching.
You didn't overthink it.
When your laptop finally closed and the table was cleared of papers, Seonghwa leaned back slightly in his chair, glancing out the window before turning to you again.
“When do you want to meet next?”
You shrugged, thinking. “Wednesday works, if you’re free.”
“Same time?”
“Same place?”
He nodded. “Yeah. That works.”
You gave him a small smile, tapping your pen on the table. “Thanks for the coffee, by the way.”
He looked at your almost-empty cup, then back at you. “Anytime.”
—By Wednesday, everything felt like it was hitting at once. Third day of the week, but it might as well have been the seventh. Assignments had stacked up out of nowhere, your inbox was overflowing, and your club meetings were overlapping to the point that you didn’t even remember what you were supposed to be preparing for anymore. You hadn’t slept properly in three nights, unless you counted the accidental thirty-minute nap you took on your textbook at 3 a.m.
Your stomach was empty, your brain was foggy, and you were five minutes early to your meeting with Seonghwa—mostly out of habit.
You sat at the same table, eyes scanning over the notes you'd already read three times, just trying to hold focus. You weren’t sure you were absorbing anything anymore.
Then you heard him approach.
Same calm pace, same neutral energy. He placed a cup in front of you again—iced coffee, no words at first—and sat down. But this time, he didn’t dive into the project.
“Are you okay?”
You glanced up, blinking at him. He frowned. “You look tired.”
You waved a hand dismissively. “I’m fine. Just… midweek stress. It’s whatever.”
He didn’t look convinced. “Did you sleep?”
“Some,” you lied.
“When did you last eat?”
You hesitated. “I don't remember.”
His jaw tensed, and he leaned back slightly, eyes still on you. He didn’t press again, but he didn’t look away either. You dropped your gaze back to your notes, reaching for a pen, but before you could write anything, his chair scraped back.
You looked up, confused. “What—”
“We’re not doing this today.”
You blinked. “What?”
Seonghwa was already standing. “You’re out of it. You won’t retain anything we go through, and you’ll just end up feeling worse.”
“I’m fine,” you said again, firmer this time, more out of instinct than truth.
He shook his head. “No. You’re running on fumes. Come on.”
You didn’t move. “Seonghwa, we have deadlines. We can’t just—”
Before you could finish, he reached out and gently took your hand, tugging you up from your seat.
“Come on,” he said again, softer this time. “Trust me.”
You looked at him, searching for sarcasm or some kind of joke, but there was none. Just quiet sincerity. And maybe a bit of concern he wasn’t trying very hard to hide.
You sighed, shoulders slumping. Maybe he was right. Maybe the project could wait one night.
The campus convenience store was mostly empty by the time you and Seonghwa walked in. The lighting was a bit too bright, the music too random, but it was familiar. Comforting, in a weird way. Rows of snacks, instant meals, drinks in neatly stacked coolers—it felt like the kind of place where time slowed down.
You trailed behind him, still a little dazed from earlier. Your body hadn’t caught up with your brain yet. You weren’t used to someone pulling you out of your spiral before you crashed. You weren’t used to someone noticing.
Seonghwa moved with purpose, scanning the shelves like he did this often. He tossed a few things into the basket—ramen cups, a small pack of seaweed snacks, two bottled waters, and something sweet you hadn’t even seen. You reached over to add your own items, but he stopped you with a look.
“I got it.”
You frowned. “Let me at least pay for mine.”
He ignored that, heading to the counter before you could argue.
You followed him anyway, reaching into your bag as the cashier rang everything up. But just as you pulled out your card, Seonghwa blocked you with his arm.
“I said I got it.”
“You don’t have to—”
“I know.” He looked at you sideways, mouth tugging up into a small smile. “But I’m doing it anyway.”
You stared at him for a second, then exhaled. “You’re annoying.”
“I’ve been called worse.”
Outside, the night was cooler than before. The two of you found a seat at one of the tables outside the store—plastic and slightly uneven, but it worked. You peeled the lid off your ramen as Seonghwa passed you a pair of chopsticks, then cracked open his own cup like he’d done this a hundred times.
There wasn’t much talking at first. Just the quiet hum of vending machines behind you, the distant noise of other students passing by, and the soft clatter of chopsticks against plastic bowls.
You took a long sip of your iced coffee and let out a tired breath.
Seonghwa looked over, raised an eyebrow, then reached across the table and took the cup right out of your hand.
“Hey—”
He stood up and tossed it into the trash behind him without hesitation.
“What the hell?” you said, half-laughing, half-serious.
He came back, unfazed. “You don’t need more caffeine. You need food and sleep.”
You couldn’t help it—your mouth twitched. “You’re kind of bossy, you know that?”
He looked over at you, the faintest grin tugging at one corner of his mouth. “Someone’s gotta be.”
The conversation drifted after that. You ate quietly, occasionally sharing bites, occasionally throwing soft jabs at his snack choices. He talked more than he usually did in class, told you a story about his freshman-year roommate nearly setting their microwave on fire, and you laughed harder than you expected to.
Somewhere between bites and low conversation, something about him felt... easier. Like he wasn’t trying to impress you, he wasn’t performing.
When you finished, he stood first, gathering the trash into one bag. “Come on,” he said. “I’ll walk you back.”
The walk across campus was quiet, both of you watching your breath cloud up in the cool night air. When you reached the front of your dorm building, you stopped at the stairs.
“Well,” you said, turning to him. “Thanks. For the food. And... all of it.”
He shrugged, casual. “It’s nothing.”
You smiled, a small, honest thing. “Still. Thanks.”
He looked at you, eyes steady under the dim campus lights, and for a second it felt like something was about to be said. But then he just nodded.
“Get some sleep.”
You nodded back. “You too.”
And then you turned, walking up the steps, feeling lighter than you had all week.
—It was never dramatic with Seonghwa. He didn’t make grand gestures, didn’t say anything overly sweet or flirtatious. But you started noticing the little things. And somehow, those were the ones that stuck.
Like how he always showed up with an iced coffee before every study session, never asked, never forgot. Even when it rained. Even when you texted him, not to bother. It was always the same—light on the milk, just enough sweetness. Your order. He never made a big deal out of it, just set it down in front of you like it was routine now.
He kept snacks in his bag, the kind you liked. The ones you’d once offhandedly mentioned craving when you were running late and hadn’t had time to eat. The next time you met, he pulled out a packet without a word and tossed it across the table while you were setting up your notes.
Sometimes, when your energy was low and your eyes couldn’t focus on the screen anymore, he’d quietly pull your laptop toward himself and start working without needing you to say anything. Not taking over. Just picking up where you left off.
And the texts.
That surprised you the most. At first it was just about the project. Times, schedules, quick updates. Then it became something else—random observations from class, memes about how burnt out the semester was making everyone, late-night “still awake?” messages that somehow made you feel less alone.
You didn’t remember when it started exactly, but now, most nights ended with you lying in bed, phone glowing in your hand, a small smile tugging at your lips as you read through another one of his dry one-liners or the occasional deadpan voice memo. Sometimes you'd type out longer replies without meaning to, catching yourself enjoying the back-and-forth more than you probably should.
It was easy to tell yourself it was still about the project. But the project had started to fade into the background.
—Seonghwa knew his plan was working.
You were opening up, letting him in. Slowly, naturally. You laughed more around him now. Looked for him in lecture halls. Texted first. Smiled when he showed up with coffee like it still surprised you—like it meant something. And at one point, that’s all it was supposed to be: a strategy. A bet. A win.
But somewhere between the first fake smile and the first real one, he lost track of the game.
He didn’t mean to.
He didn’t mean to start looking forward to seeing your name light up his phone at 1 a.m. Or to memorize the way you tapped your pen when you were thinking. Or to notice how your nose scrunched ever so slightly when you couldn’t find the right word mid-sentence.
He didn’t mean to catch himself leaning in when you laughed, just to hear it better. He definitely didn’t mean to start picking out songs that reminded him of you, or saving stupid inside jokes in his notes app like some kind of idiot.
But the worst part?
He’d caught himself rereading your messages. Not just once. Often. Scrolling through your Instagram again—not to find leverage or patterns like he had in the beginning—but because your smile in those old posts made him feel something. Something still and soft and entirely outside his control.
And for a guy who usually kept everything locked tight, it was unsettling how easily you got past all that.
He didn’t mean to like you. He wasn’t supposed to. That was never the point.
But it was hard not to.
—The library was quiet, as it always was midafternoon—low light, the faint scratch of pens, pages turning, the occasional squeak of a chair. You weren’t planning to stay long, just grab a few books for the paper you were working on. Your steps were light, familiar with the shelves by now, weaving past rows without thinking.
You were about to leave when you heard Yeosang's voice.
“Hwa, how long are you going to keep this up?” Yeosang asked, his voice tense. “It’s not fair to her. You’re playing with her feelings.”
Your heart froze. Her?
Seonghwa shifted uncomfortably. “I—It wasn’t supposed to go this far.”
Wooyoung chuckled lightly. “Come on, Seonghwa. You’re doing her a favor. She’s having the time of her life.”
You took a step closer, straining to hear, feeling a knot form in your chest.
“But I didn’t mean for it to—” Seonghwa started, but Wooyoung interrupted.
"Why are you complaining? You've won the bet! You made Y/N fall for you."
Your blood ran cold. The realization hit you like a wave crashing over rocks. The time spent with Seonghwa, the laughter, the shared moments—it was all a lie. A bet.
You couldn’t breathe. Everything between you and Seonghwa had been fake. He had never cared. He had only been using you to win a bet.
Tears pricked the corners of your eyes as you stood there, frozen. You didn’t even realize Seonghwa had spotted you until his voice cracked through the air.
“Y/N…”
You shook your head, your vision blurring with tears. The betrayal cut deeper than you could have imagined. You took a step back as Seonghwa stood up, his hand outstretched.
“Please, Y/N, let me explain—”
But you couldn’t bear to hear it. You turned on your heel and fled, leaving Seonghwa calling your name behind you.
Seonghwa stood in the library, watching you leave, a sinking feeling in his chest. He wanted to chase after you, to explain, but how could he? The truth was out now, and he knew it. He had hurt you in the worst possible way.
Wooyoung, Yeosang, and Hongjoong sat in silence, the gravity of what had just happened settling heavily around them.
Yeosang sighed, his voice soft but firm. “I told you. You were playing with her heart.”
Seonghwa slumped back into his chair, guilt gnawing at him. He didn’t care about the dare anymore. He didn’t care about winning the bet. All he cared about was the girl who had just walked out of his life—the girl he had fallen for without realizing it.
—You tried to go on like nothing happened.
Assignments still had deadlines. Club meetings still ran late. Life kept moving, indifferent to your pause. But everything felt heavier now—like your body was dragging through water, every step a little slower, every breath a little tighter.
You kept your head down in lectures, sitting further from the front than usual. You stopped raising your hand. You stopped staying back to chat with classmates after. You weren’t trying to be dramatic—you just didn’t have the energy to pretend like you weren’t walking around with a chest full of cracked glass.
You avoided the library.
You used to love that place. It was quiet and familiar and reliable. Now, all you could see were the shelves where you overheard your own name, turned into a joke, a prize.
Now even the small things betrayed you. Every time your phone lit up with a notification, your stomach dropped for half a second—before you remembered you’d blocked his number. Every iced coffee you passed in someone else’s hand felt like a punchline you weren’t in on anymore.
People asked if you were okay. You smiled and said you were tired. Everyone was tired—no one questioned it. That made it easier to lie.
You still saw him sometimes. From across the courtyard. In the hallway. Once in class, slipping into a seat two rows behind you. You didn’t turn around. Didn’t flinch. But you felt it—his presence like static, loud even in silence.
You didn’t want to hate him.
You just wished he’d never made you think you were anything more than part of a game.
So you worked. You threw yourself into your clubs, let your schedule pile up until there was no room left to think. You said yes to things you didn’t want to do just to keep moving. Just to stay one step ahead of whatever it was that would catch up if you slowed down long enough to let yourself feel again.
But when you got home at night, and it was quiet, and your phone didn’t light up anymore—
That’s when it hurt the most.
—Seonghwa hadn’t expected the silence to last this long.
At first, he thought maybe you just needed space. A day. Maybe two. Enough time to cool off, process it, come back with questions he could try to answer. He told himself he’d explain everything—the bet, yes, but also how it stopped being about the bet long before he realized it.
But the texts stayed unread.
The apology he sent—long, quiet, honest—was met with nothing. Not even the little "seen" mark. Calls went straight to voicemail. When he tried to talk to you on campus, you didn’t even look at him. You just kept walking, like he wasn’t there.
And it was starting to eat him alive.
He saw it in your face first—how different you looked now. Not angry. Just... dulled. Like something in you had been dimmed. You walked slower. Didn’t meet people’s eyes. The same girl who used to light up entire classrooms with her energy was suddenly small, withdrawn. Like she was trying to shrink herself.
And every time he saw it—your silence, your avoidance, your tired, guarded eyes—it hit him like a second punch to the gut. Not because of the guilt, but because he missed you. More than he knew how to say. More than he thought he ever would.
He found himself scrolling through old messages late at night, the ones you’d sent when you trusted him. Jokes. Rants. Small, vulnerable pieces of your day. He used to reread them with a smile. Now, they just made his stomach twist.
He hated himself for playing the game. For thinking he could keep it all under control. For thinking you'd never find out. But more than anything, he hated how much of your light he’d snuffed out just by being careless with it.
He kept trying—short texts, brief glances in your direction when you crossed paths. Hoping for eye contact, for anything. Even a glare would’ve been better than your indifference. At least it meant you still felt something, but you didn't.
But that didn’t mean he stopped trying to make it right.
He stayed quiet, but he noticed things. Like how you started going to the smaller study room on the third floor instead of the main library. So he started showing up early and leaving things behind—small, easy things. A granola bar. A bottle of water. Once, a pack of your favorite gum.
No notes. No name. But he hoped you knew.
When it rained again and you left class without an umbrella, he watched you walk into it like you didn’t care. That night, there was a plain black umbrella left leaning against the door to your dorm. He didn’t wait to see if you’d take it.
He stopped texting. It took everything in him not to. He typed messages constantly, late at night—“I’m sorry.” “I miss you.” “Please talk to me.” But he never sent them. You deserved peace. Not pressure.
He didn’t want you to feel obligated to forgive him. He didn’t think he deserved it. But he hoped—selfishly, silently—that maybe, when you were ready, you’d see it. The way he was still here, even now.
And maybe you’d know he was sorry. Not just for the lie, or the bet—but for ever making you question the way you loved, the way you trusted him.
—You noticed the little things. Even when you didn’t want to. Even when you told yourself you were done with him.
The granola bar left on the desk in the small study room? You hadn’t mentioned that brand to anyone except Seonghwa—once, casually, during a study session weeks ago. You thought it was a coincidence at first. Then it happened again. A bottle of water. A coffee coupon tucked under a paperweight. No name. No note. But you knew.
And when it rained, hard and sudden, and you left your umbrella in a rush—again—there it was. Waiting outside your dorm, leaned up like it had been placed carefully, like someone made sure it wouldn’t fall over. Plain black, no label. Your old one had been just like it.
You never saw him drop anything off. He didn’t hover. He didn’t text. He didn’t chase you.
But it was him. You knew it in your chest.
And that made it harder.
Because you were still angry. Still hurt. You remembered the way your heart stopped in the library. The way the air left your lungs when you heard your name twisted into something so careless. You remembered the silence when you stood there, books at your feet, and he didn’t run after you fast enough to stop it.
But then you’d see something small—like a snack tucked behind your laptop at the club room, or notes from a class you missed, printed and annotated the way you used to do for him—and your chest would ache in that awful, soft way.
Because even now, after all of it, you didn’t hate him.
You wanted to. God, you tried. But love doesn’t switch off like that. You loved the version of him that made you laugh, that remembered your coffee order, that walked beside you at night like it was second nature.
It frustrated you. Not because he was trying—but because a part of you wanted to trust him again. And that felt like a betrayal of yourself.
You didn’t owe him anything. You reminded yourself of that every time you caught your eyes lingering on the familiar slope of his shoulders in a crowded hallway. Every time you noticed the gum, or the coffee, or the fact that he still showed up—even if it was always from a distance.
But the ache never fully left. And it didn’t feel like it was going to. So, against your better judgment, you texted him.
“Can we talk?”
—The park was quiet, scattered with a few students walking or sitting on benches, but mostly still. You waited by the path near the tall row of trees.
You heard his footsteps before you saw him. “Y/N,” Seonghwa said, voice soft as he approached, careful not to move too fast, like he knew you might run.
You looked out past him toward the trees before speaking. “I’ve been thinking,” you said quietly. “About what happened. About you. About me.”
You took a breath. “It hurt, Seonghwa. More than I think I even let myself admit. I trusted you. I believed you were real with me. And when I found out it started as a bet, it made me question everything—every word, every moment. Like none of it was mine to hold onto.”
“I know,” he said, barely above a whisper. “I know I ruined that.”
You glanced down at your hands, then back at him. “But… I’ve also seen what you’ve done since then."
His expression cracked, just slightly—enough to let the regret show. “I didn’t want to make things worse. I just… I didn’t know how to fix it without crowding you.”
“I wanted to hate you,” you said. “I tried. But I didn’t. I don’t.”
That made him freeze. His eyes locked on yours. “I want to trust you again,” you said. “I do. But it’s not easy. It’s going to take time. And I’m not promising anything more than that right now.”
For a moment, Seonghwa stood frozen, processing your words. Then, without thinking, he stepped forward, gently cupping your face in his hands. His touch was warm, and careful, like he was afraid you might pull away. He gazed into your eyes, his own filled with an intensity that made your heart skip.
“I swear to you, Y/N,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “I will never, ever hurt you like that again. I’ll spend the rest of my life proving to you that I’m worth trusting. I promise.”
Your breath caught in your throat, the warmth of his hands on your cheeks grounding you as your heart fluttered in your chest. You could feel the truth in his words, the genuine regret and longing behind them.
Slowly, almost instinctively, you leaned into his touch, your eyes fluttering shut for a brief moment as the tension between you melted away. When you opened your eyes again, Seonghwa was still watching you, his gaze filled with hope and affection.
𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘰: A sad playlist I found on spotify and my burning desire to be able to make good angst and make myself feel hurt.
𝘈/𝘯: Welp. I tried. I hope anyone who reads can enjoy. I really recommend listening to the Birds of a Feather album while reading, I listened to it while writing.
“Shoot him!” You shout at the boy sitting next to you. You are both sitting in an arcade shooting booth. It’s one of those two player games where you try to kill the zombies. You both had just watched a scary movie at the theaters that the arcade is located in and now you’re happily playing arcade games with your boyfriend.
“I am!! You keep missing all yours!” Yunho shouts back, aiming the toy gun directly at a zombie on the screen. You try to move your gun quickly at all the different zombies coming after you, there is far too many for you to kill them all.
“Shit, I ran outta ammo. We’re gonna die.” You shrug looking at Yunho who’s staring intensely at the screen.
“Nope I got us.” He kills all the zombies in the perimeter with ease. He looks in your direction and smiles at you. “I told you.”
You smile back, looking deeply into his eyes.
Gosh, you’re gorgeous. The only thing occupying his mind at all times. He realizes how lucky he is to have you. Everything about you, you both love playing games and going out. Never has he believed in soulmates until he met you.
Come on, there’s ammo right here!” Yunho snaps both of you out of a trance you had put each other in.
Using your gun to walk over to the ammo you fill up your gun. This game lasts a few minutes longer before the machine asks you for more credits to play longer. You and Yunho both agree that you’ve played long enough.
“I need to use the restroom really quick.” You say to Yunho and he nods still smiling, he gets up to follow you. He waits, leaning his back on the wall a few feet away from the door so he doesn’t look like a creep.
His phone starts buzzing in his pocket, he reaches down to grab it. The call is from his mother; he was a little surprised to see.
“Hello?” Yunho says.
He listens to the information his moms telling him.
“Mhm, yeah.” Yunho replies to whatever his moms telling him.
“Alright bye.”
Moments after he hangs up, he sees you coming out of the bathroom. You smile as soon as you see him and take his hand.
“You ready to go?” You smile at him.
“Yeah, let’s go get something to eat. We have time.” He smiles at you trying to suppress the sadness building inside of him.
You nod happily, smiling from ear to ear.
Leaving the arcade that smelled of popcorn and Pepsi the fresh air hits both of your noses causing you to exhale peacefully. The sky is beautiful right now, an orange color, the clouds are spaces out in a gorgeous pattern.
“Where do you want to go?” Yunho asks you, squeezing your hand tighter. He wishes he could stay with you forever. Holding your hand, looking into your eyes, playing games, going out to eat. All he wants is you. Nothing else. He would be happy with that. Just having you.
“I’m feeling… maybe Chinese food… or actually how about we go get a burger and fries?” You press your lips together and push your cheeks out giving him an upside-down smile. You stare straight into his eyes, “Oooo and can we get ice cream after.” You hold onto his arm, bringing him closer trying to get your way.
He chuckles lowly, “Anything for you, pretty.”
You both start to walk to the nearest burger shop, 5 guys.
Once you walk in you notice there aren’t many people here. Only a few customers aside from yourselves. One is a small family of three a mother, father and their daughter. The other is a young couple such as yourselves.
“So how many patties you want… 6 or 7?” A huge smile crosses his face as he moves his hands up and down jokingly.
You punch his right arm with your right hand, intending to make it hurt a bit, “Don’t ever say that shit again.”
“Owwww, okay okayyy. I won’ t say it again.” He groans while looking flabbergasted and holding his arm with his left hand.
“I’ll take two patties thank you.” You look up and kiss his cheek to make up for the bruise you just gave him, “I’ll kiss it better later okay.”
“Okay.” He grins.
He walks towards the counter where they take order, you follow, “Hi, can I please order two cheeseburger meals? Dr. Pepper for both drinks.”
“Will that be all?” The man at the register says.
“Yes, thank you.” Yunho says, taking out his wallet and a $20 bill.
“Your total will be $17.68”. Yunho hands him the bill and waits for the change.
“Thank you.”. Yunho says taking his receipt and heading to a table close to the back of the restaurant. You follow closely behind.
“You hungry?” Yunho asks.
“Yeah, you?”
He nods in response.
Yunho is trying to take his mind off of the phone call, but he can’t. He just wants to think about the present but it’s too hard to not think about never seeing you again. He needs to be with you. He can’t live without you, not after he’s made so many life lasting memories with you. There is no one for him that’s even touching the surface for him compared to you.
“127!” An employee shouts so everyone could hear. Yunho quickly gets up practically sprinting to the counter to get the food.
“Thank you.”
“Smells amazing,” you say still smiling. You’re always smiling when you’re with Yunho. How could you not? He’s handsome, funny, and an amazing boyfriend. You wish to stay together forever.
Yunho is just looking at the food with a blank expression, not blinking or moving a muscle at all. This is going to come to an end. An end to a story he never wanted to complete. He wanted to be with you forever. It’s all going to end.
“Yunho?” You furrow your brows and start to get your food out of the bag.
“What? Oh, my bad.” He snaps out of it.
“Why’re you zoning out? What’s on your mind?” You ask seriously. Yunho only zones out when there’s something important that he’s worried about or when he’s really nervous, which is hardly ever.
“I-it’s nothing.” He gives a small smile and takes his food out, then throws a couple fries into his mouth then takes a sip of his drink.
You know something’s up, but you trust him to tell you when the time is right. Maybe it’s a surprise, like it was your birthday. He was zoning out a lot during the week before. Although you can’t help the panging gut feeling telling you that’s not it. You ignore it hoping it’s wrong.
You both continue to eat your food with little to no conversation, which is normal you both like to eat your food in peace and not be interrupted. It’s one of the many reasons your meant for each other. He noticed how you hated when your mom would ask if the food’s good or if you like it right as you’re devouring the food, even though you’d be understanding.
“Ready for ice cream?” Yunho asks giddy.
“Mhmm.” You nod. You really are, usually you’re not one for sweets but ice cream is just your type, something about it. To be honest, you don’t love sugar cake, donuts, cookies and most candies or pies don’t suit your interest. You love a good pumpkin pie with whipped cream but that’s about it.
There’s a Baskin Robbins right on the other side of 5 guys, it doesn’t take you long to get there at all. Walking in your nostrils are hit with sugar and other substances they use to make their undeniably delicious ice cream.
“Hello! What could we get for you today?” There is an unusually chipper girl at the counter. It’s about 8pm at night, you wouldn’t think anyone would be this hyper, although she is working at an ice cream shop and probably gave herself about a thousand free samples.
“What do you want?” Yunho asks you with a soft tone, his full attention on you.
“Can I get two scoops in a waffle cone? One cookie dough, the other birthday cake.” You tell your order straight to the cashier.
“Alright, would you like anything else?” She now is looking at Yunho.
“Can I get a regular cone and one scoop of vanilla?” She quickly types his order in.
“Your total is $6.34” The cashier takes the money yunho is holding out to her.
“Thank you, and here is your receipt.” There is one other worker here and they had already begun to make your order before Yunho paid.
“Here you go,” You and Yunho take your ice creams and quickly walk out the shop.
“Mmm, it’s so delicious.” You lick your eye cream and savor the flavor with your eyes closed.
“I’m so glad to hear that,” Yunho says sarcastically, “Mines quite good as well.”
Yunho grabs your free hand and in unison you continue to walk. Another memory added to the long list of things he will have to forget. He almost lets a tear slip at the thought of having to let you go. What your life would be like without him. How would you feel? What are you going to do? Will you find someone new? To replace him? He has no right to be mad at any choice you make; he’s the one leaving you.
You scoff, “Here already.” You roll your eyes. You both finished your ice creams a while ago.
Yunho shakes his head disappointedly, what he wouldn’t do for just one more day, just one more day with you. He just wants to hold you one more time.
He looks deeply into your eyes as you do his. Should he tell you? How would he even do that?
“I’m going to miss you.” He breathily says. He knows you think he’s talking about just for the night, he’s talking about forever.
“I’ll miss you too.” There’s a hint of confusion in your tone. You will miss him as you always do, but he sounds so serious, when you’re going to see him tomorrow. You have all summer and in school too, you might not see each other as much but you’ll still be together. Right?
He cups the left side of your face with his large hand and leans forward to meet your lips in a kiss. One final kiss.
He tries his hardest not to let his tears slip but as soon as he turns away to go home, he feels a stream of them coming down his face. He doesn’t make a sound, no action, he just lets his tears fall to his cheeks then to his chin.
You feel that was odd but once again ignore it. When you get inside you take a quick shower and lay down. Before you go to sleep you go to text Yunho goodnight but see he’s beaten you too it. This makes you fall asleep with a smile on your face.
In the morning you usually wake up to a good morning text but there’s nothing to be seen on your screen. You brush it off, maybe he’s asleep.
When you first started dating you both agreed to meet in the morning everyday walking to each other’s houses, you both live a few houses down from each other not far at all. This time you have to go all the way to Yunho’s, not finding him walking to yours at all. It doesn’t help that it’s pouring rain and you end up getting practically soaked.
Knocking on his front door it’s not him that answers, it’s his mom.
“Hello, Mrs. Jeong… is Yunho here?” You ask and her eyebrows immediately furrow and she frowns. She’s always intimidated you, she never really approved of you and Yunho, saying you’d get him into trouble.
“He didn’t tell you yesterday?” You look at her in confusion. “I sent him to go live with his auntie in Australia. It’s much better there than here. He would be happier.”
Your heart drops all the way down to your feet. Why? Why wouldn’t he tell you that he’s moving? Is this what had him all worked up last night?
You don’t think. Your feet start to move on their own you rush into the street and try to find the first taxi you can find.
“Take me to the train station.” You tell him handing him $50.” He nods and begins to drive as fast as he can. You better catch him. You won’t ever forgive him if you don’t. Why wouldn’t he just tell you? When did he find out about this?
You arrive at the station in about 7 minutes you yelled at the taxi driver to hurry up quite a few times, leading you to getting here faster. You run around as quickly as you can soaking the floors and trying your best to stay balanced and not slip.
Where is he? You must find him.
Yunho?!” You call out his name, getting stares from everyone around you. You don’t see him and began to run again looking everywhere for him.
“Yunho?!” You call out again hoping for an answer.
“Excuse me,” you ask a lady that is sitting down on a bench, “have you seen a tall young man anywhere?”
She shakes her head.
You continue to call out his name several times and asking anyone you could find if they’ve seen him making you look like a mad man.
“Y/n?” You snap your head around.
It’s him.
“Yunho!?” Your eyes locked with his.
“What are you doing here?” He doesn’t look happy to see you, if anything he looks… angry? Why?
“Why didn’t you tell me?” You run over to him and hug him quickly, throwing yourself off him and pushing him back. He doesn’t budge.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were leaving?” Tears wet your already soaked face. You don’t care at this point; nothing could make you wetter.
“I don’t know.” He looks away looking slightly guilty.
That’s all he has to say? Wow.
You laugh astonished with his behavior, “Yu-“
The speakers in the station announce a train that’s about to take off.
“I have to go Y/n.” Yunho says with a blank expression. As If he’s feeling nothing. As if he’s never felt anything at all.
Your eyebrows furrow in both sadness and rage, “Stay, Yunho please. Why are you leaving? Let’s go together. Let’s go away, I have some money saved. Please. Please stay with me.”
You sniffle through your tears.
He wants to stay. He wants nothing more than to be with you.
“No.” he says bluntly. “Forget me, you won’t ever see me again.”
He turns around and walks onto the train leaving you there. Leaving you a crying mess. After he gets in, he turns around and puts his hand up to the glass, you don’t hesitate to rush up and put your hand against the glass as if it were his hand.
The station announces that his train is about to take off, and you don’t move until he’s out of sight.
He walks into the cabin and cannot resist the building up of tears inside of him. He quickly breaks down dropping to his knees in agony, a river streaming down his face. Why didn’t he just stay? There’s nothing in Australia for him and here there’s you. His mother did a lot of convincing last night and it worked. All that convincing went away when he saw you, you came all the way here for him. But for some reason he still got on the train.
He regrets it. If he could start over he would. He would stay with you. Cradle you in his arms and stay with you forever.
I'm sorry for repeatedly disappearing but I have a good reason. my mental health has taken a very deep decline in the last few months.
after being cheated on and lied to and losing a family member, I just haven't been myself lately and I haven't had the mental energy to come back and I've been in a really dark place for a while and I think it's time that I retire this account.
After my boyfriend cheated and broke up with me and my grandma died I relapsed tried to take my own life, I've gotten the professional help I need but I'm still in pain. I've decided that it is best if I remove myself from all social media and better myself.
I may be back one day but that day isn't anytime soon.
I will keep the account open but I will no longer post here. if you are able to contact me feel free to.I love you guys.

𝘈/𝘯: This story is very self-indulgent but I hope many of you can enjoy this as much as I do writing it. This is just the prologue it is short but I usually like writing over 5k word chapters.
Rotten flesh really does stink. He raises a 10-inch cleaver above his head with his right arm while making a face of revulsion then bringing down the blade swiftly with bone-shattering force. The limb bounces off the table almost taking flight. It was the left hand of the corpse he’s dissecting. Blood is splattered onto his black wife beater he’s just started dismembering this body and there’s already such a mess. He just can’t catch a break. Linkin Park booms through the speakers making any sound or voice ineligible unless screaming at the top of their lungs.
There’s a blue tarp covering the clean wooden floors of the apartment that’s already being coated in blood and numerous body parts. The blade now cuts through the abdomen of the man lying on the table. He quickly chops it up into smaller pieces and sticks them into a plastic cup with a lid.
“Looks like I finally can go fishing,” he smiles, lightly chuckling taking the jar and throwing it into a black duffle bag a few feet away. He chops off every finger and toe directly at the joint connecting them to either the palm of the hand or the ball of the foot, “oooo, these would make good bait too!”.
“You gonna cut me up like that too?!” Yells a man from the left side of the room, clearly witnessing everything happening to the man on the table. His voice is barely heard over the deafening music. Just for a second the music is cut off. The man standing at the table with a body beneath him quirks a brow not sparing the man a single glance.
“Repeat that.” He demands continuing to dismember the body in front of him, blood still spraying on him with every cut of the knife. His bloods still warm. The man to the left hesitantly repeats the same words from before, causing the other to snicker.
“No, when I chop you up, you’ll be alive and feeling every second, every ounce of pain I am giving you. Then when you do die, I’ll bring you back to life.” He smiles with every word he spits, while disgusted that he’s even talking to the thing that had the audacity to touch you. No amount of pain will ever be the equivalent to what he put you through.

𝘈𝘜/𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘰 & 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴: College AU, (the troupe is a secret🤫), this chapter is cleaner, brief pain i the eye, teasing, cooking, basketball and aloving brother.
𝘈/𝘯: Chapter 1!! I spent sum time on this I hope it's good and people enjoy it, I think it's something quite... different. This chapter is just soft and sweet kinda introducing the characters, though there is more to come...
Fuck, everyone here is bad as hell. You wonder what they get fed over here. It’s like all the best-looking people from every county have been scouted and transported to attend this school that’s how absurd it is. You look around taking mental notes on where certain rooms are located. You had just gotten of your first class of the day English Composition and already love it. Not even just the gorgeous faces but the professors and the classrooms, everything is top tier. During the lecture you could understand everything the teacher was saying clearly and get proper notes. The classrooms have these cool desks where you can stand or sit at a different height and chair that you can adjust as well. It’s super cool here.
Not to mention the teams and clubs here are amazing, you can’t help but feel honored to be apart of both the basketball and track team. It wasn’t easy though you had to work hard to get where you’re at. Lots of stress on the court as well as off.
You double check your schedule and confirm that you don’t have another course until 10:25 and its 9. You walk around the campus a bit studying the layout and where things are while also searching for your brother. He should be practicing; he doesn’t have class until later and is taking advantage of it. He’s a third year and the captain of the basketball team here. His name is Joseph, he’s quite tall and so are you. Joseph has worked just as hard as you to become an amazing athlete. You could say he worked even harder the academic stuff didn’t come to him as naturally as it did for you. He busted his ask looking for tutors and people who could help, you were always too busy to help him but if he asked you, you know you would drop something if need were. You believe he’s more important, he could take your family out of everything no more struggle no more wanting, always needing. He could change everything.
You walk down to the tennis courts and see the basketball courts right on the other side. As you expected Joseph and some of his teammates were there. When you were a freshman in high school, he was a junior, that was really fun considering that your relationship is great, and he’s been starting varsity since freshman year. You had an amazing first two years of high school, after Joseph left it wasn’t as fun. Not even close.
“Yooo sister!” Joseph sees you walk onto the court, and he immediately runs over to you and wrapping you in a big hug lifting you off the ground. You tried to push him off you, he’s sweaty… very sweaty. “Come on I haven’t seen you in so long?!” He says offended.
“Doesn’t mean I want to smell like you.” You make a face of disgust. He rolls his eyes in retaliation. You take a look at his teammates as you both start to walk over to them. Danm they’re all fine as fuck.
“So, this is the sister that you don’t stop talking about?” One of the guys quip, he’s tall has gorgeous tan skin and an amazing build, also looks like he might’ve gotten a hair transplant. He has an amazing smile too, perfect white teeth but not too perfect like veneers.
“This is Mingyu” Joseph gestures to the man that just spoke. “Yunho and Wooyoung”. There are two other boys here, it seems Yunho’s the taller one and Wooyoung is the shorter.
“Hey, I’m Y/n.” You smile at all of them. There’s something about Wooyoung that kept your eyes on him. The shorter boy is wearing a black pair of shorts and a perfectly fitting black tee, it hugs his top half and is loose on the bottom making his physic look amazing. On his feet are a pair of white socks and Jordan 4 “White Thunders”. He has on a cross chain and what looks like a diamond earing. Danm he got drip, you think to yourself. You see a pair of jeans on the floor, and a black zip-up hoodie laid on top of a black duffle bag. The jeans are “Chrome Hearts” which your surprised to see, you assume that they’re his from your observation of his style. Seems he likes black a lot; you like black too. He makes your brother look like a bum.
This is the most breathtaking being I have been graced with the sight of. How is she so beautiful, radiant even. They’re parents must have saved all the good genes for their daughter because oh my… she is stunning. Wooyoung thinks to himself. He’s starstruck by you. He notices that you have on a hoodie that represents the anime “Hunter x Hunter”. It’s purple matching your black and purple Jordan 13’s that he’s also noticed. Fuckk! Can you get any hotter?!
“What were you guys doing? 2 vs. 2s?” You ask, turning your head to your brother.
Joseph smirks and looks at you, “yeah we were but why don’t we play 2 vs. 3?” You smirk back at him. “Losers have to run 17’s.”
“Oh, you’re on. What teams?” Yunho asks.
“Me and my sis of course against you guys, your bought to get your shit rocked.” They all furrow their brows. Yeah, Josephs NBA All-Star level but there’s no ways a girl can beat them. You start off with the ball checking up with Mingyu who’s guarding you, Yunho’s on Joseph and Wooyoungs in help, Joseph walks Yunho down and burst out sprinting you quickly make a bounce pass to him allowing him an easy layup.
The game goes on the other team hardly got the ball you played to 21 and sure enough you and Joseph won. All three of the boys were embarrassed by the humiliating score 21-11. You can’t lie though they tried. They fought hard, usually the other team doesn’t even score, your duo is just too good. When we go to the park and play against strangers for money, we make bank! Mens’s egos are so high they believe there’s no way a girl could beat them under any circumstance, and they fail every time.
“Yall better get ready to run.” Joseph says to them with a brow raised and his water in hand. You go to grab your water out of your bag enjoying the show in front of you. Each boy is running full speed to each side of the court back and forwards continuing till they touch the side of the court 17 times.
“I can’t hear you!!” Joseph yells making them count louder. They also speed up a bit. They are quick, they even look good while running, Wooyoung is slightly faster than the rest. It’s not surprising though there obviously bigs and he’s a guard.
“14! … 15...16!” They count at the top of their lungs finishing strong. You’ve always hated doing 17’s or anything to do with running to be honest, doesn’t mean you don’t make yourself do it though. There’s no other way to be great than to push yourself and grow your limits.
“We don’t get no claps or nothing? Danm.” Wooyoung says, bringing his water bottle to his lips. His Adams apple is sexy; you want to bite it. It bobs up and down with every sip he takes. Mingyu and Yunho jog over to their clothes that are on the ground. Both boys grab their own waters and squirt it into their mouths. Water drips down Mingyu’s chin, you try hard not to stare. Mingyu has on a thin white, he’s rolled up the sleeves on, so you get an amazing view of his whole arm, the water from his chin drips down and lands on his chest soaking the white tee. You can visibly see the outline of his large muscular pecks.
A man does not need titties that big. You think to yourself and roll your eyes. You look away not wanting him to see you staring. When you turn around you see Wooyoung staring straight at you, he quickly averts his gaze onto something else when he sees you staring back at him.
Why’s he looking at me? You wonder. Lifting your wrist into the air and look at your watch, you check the time, it’s 10:04. You have class in 20 minutes. You put your water back into your bag and stand up taking the bag with you.
“I have class in 20 minutes and I wanna grab a snack before I go, so ima head out.” Your attention is on Joseph you were mainly talking to him. The others give you a small smile or nod in acknowledgement.
“Nice meeting you, Y/n.” Yunho smiles at you. He’s really cute, he kind of reminds you of a golden retriever. He also kind of reminds you of your friend Jongho, you’d say he’s more of a bear though.
Smiling at him you reply, “nice meeting you too, hope to see you around.”.
“You have to go already? Just skip your next class!” Joseph whines leaning over and puts his hands on your shoulders causing you to almost lose balance. He’s still sweaty…
“If you don’t get off of me…!” You protest, you bring your arms up as if the police told you to raise your hands. You’re aware that he’s joking about skipping class, being academically successful means a lot to the both of you and the NBA…
“I have to go I’ll see you later.” He takes his hands off you and rolls his eyes at your words.
“Fine then leave me.” He drawled with a quirk of his head as he pressed his lips into a thin line. He takes his phone out of his pocket and starts scrolling.
You shrug your shoulders and start to walk off the court and head towards the store that’s located in the Uni. Yunho waves as you walk away knowing you can’t see him anymore because your back it towards them.
Wooyoung keeps his eyes on you, not blinking until you’re out of his sight. He doesn’t even realize what he was doing until he can’t see you anymore. He shakes his head vigorously. He lets out a sigh that he didn’t know he was holding in.
You walk into your Uni’s shop and immediately walk towards the back to grab an energy drink, Ultra Black Monster Zero. Perfect. Reaching to your right you grab a pack of the protein beef jerky. 22 grams of protein for $6 not bad. Looking in front of you at the fridges one more time you take a look at the chocolate milk. To be honest, chocolate milk is your favorite especially when it’s protein chocolate milk. You reach into the fridge and grab the black bottle of chocolate milk that is labeled “Core Power” and had a big 42 grams of protein showing on the front.
That game of basketball has you tired, you didn’t move much, Joseph did all the heavy lifting you just used your elite assisting abilities to win. What you can tell though is that if Wooyoung were to be just a bit taller that game may not have gone as planned. He’s supper shifty you could barely keep up with him; Joseph had told you that he was the team’s starting shooting guard (he has the ability to make any move on the court). Most of the points that they made were from him, he was even able to score on Joseph even though he’s almost a foot taller. You fell for a lot of his moves; you’ve never seen anyone play like that before.
As you walk to class you continue to think about the game and stick your hand into the bag of beef jerky pulling on out and throwing it into your mouth. Mingyu seems like he’s definitely better when playing 5 vs 5. His defense was really good in the post; it was hard to get past him. Yunho was really good all around, he was really sitting down on defense, he had such a wide stance and long arms that it was hard to pass the ball. Yunho was also a decent shooter, he didn’t shoot much but the times he did, he made it.
Wooyoug was the one that put it all together though, conducting the team and alerting the moves on defense. His handles flowed so well, his footwork was incredible, it’s almost like there was a string attached to the ball. All his moves were fluid and believable hence why you were falling for them.
Your classroom was branded as J3, once again you check the time and see that it’s 10:22. You have 3 minutes, you crack open the chocolate milk and quickly chug it, not getting a drop of milk on your face or clothes. You’ve always had a talent for chugging drinks, either that or the doing the worm was your party trick.
As soon as you walk in your surprised to see Wooyoung, your eyes meet his, his eyebrows raise and cocks his head to the right as to signaling you to come sit next to him. There’s no way he’s in a culinary class. Just when you didn’t think he could get any more attractive.
Wooyoung is almost thinking the same thing. You cook, play basketball, track, good style, not to mention you’re amazing at basketball, smart and your gorgeous. There’s no way you exist.
“What you’re in this class?? You say surprised? Aren’t you a second year?” You furrow your brows in confusion. Usually this is the starting class “Culinary Foundations I” you think to yourself.
“I chose to take “Food Safety and Sanitation” my first year. I thought I could put it to more use into knowing the health standards sooner.” He grins showing all 28 of his perfect teeth. He’s gorgeous, his smile makes your heart flutter.
You smile back at him, “makes sense. I’m taking it next semester.”
He nods in reply.
“Hello everybody,” a woman who you assume to be your professor walks into the classroom making her presence known. She’s wearing a blue pair of jeans with a flowy black top, although everything is covered by her long white apron. “I am Mrs. Michealis, you may call me Mrs. M for short if you would like.” She says while she keeps content smile on her face. She looks around the class taking in the faces of all her new students.
“Today were just going to dive right in. If you’re in this class I’m sure you know what it’s about and aren’t brand new to cooking. You’ll be getting your aprons that you’ve already paid for. You may keep them forever. I’m sure you’re aware of that too. Come up and grab one as I take attendance, you may choose from the black or white aprons.” She tells everyone, already tired of us on the first day, what a shame. “I will also be telling you who your kitchen partner is. You won’t be doing much together, just sharing the sinks and such. When you receive partner assignments you will be allowed to choose. We don’t do any restaurant preparation in here, so you’ll be fine.”
You’re excited. You’ve always loved cooking and have been good at it, now you finally get to learn more about it. Owning your own restaurant that has a separate menu so you can bring your dog is your dream. Cooking, sports and animals have always been your passion. Every time you meet a new animal they’re comfortable after a quick sniff of your hand, but who knows, maybe it’s just the way you introduce yourself or the way you smell. You shake your head. You love cooking and you can definitely get better, but you can also make a bomb ass dish.
“When I all you and your partner you may go stand at a counter.” Mrs. Michealis starts to call out several names, two at a time. This is officially a new start, not everyone knows you anymore, this is an amazing opportunity to make real friends. Everyone here got here somehow either paid or got a scholarship to attend. When almost everyone has already grabbed their aprons and gotten their partner your name gets called, along with the one and only Jung Wooyung.
You give him a surprised smile as you both get up and walk up together. Black aprons are chosen the both of you. He walks to a station in the back while you follow closely behind.
“Is this one okay with you?” Wooyoung asks you, raising both of his perfectly threaded eyebrows.
You nod.
The professor finishes off calling names and stands up walking to the station that is placed directly in the middle of the room but facing all the other stations.
“You won’t be needing much of your own in this class, be sure to bring your aprons and a notebook.” She instructs. “I’m sure you’ve notices the hooks in front of each of your stations. Those are for your bags, every day when you come in just get out your apron out and hang your bag on the hook. If you need your notebooks, it will be posted on the board when you come in.” Almost everyone one grabs their bags and hooks them on to the front of their stations. It’s very convenient.
“Put on your aprons everyone. We will be learning how to properly hold a knife and be cutting up fruits and vegetables from our garden. This produce will be used to make dishes that will be donated towards charities, so do this diligently and listen carefully.” She has a cutting board and a bowl at her station along with two knives.
“Each of you have a bowl at your station, two cutting boards and two knives.” She says pointing to everything as she names them. “You will all need a cutting board and a knife. I will instruct what we will be cutting and how to do it.”
Wooyoung takes a knife and a cutting board setting them in front of him as he looks back at the teacher for instructions.
You do the same.
Mrs. Michealis begins to tell you all how to hold the knife and demonstrates the “Pinch Grip”. You hold the knife with the blade facing away from you and with your thumb and forefinger pinching the part of the knife right before the blade starts. She explains that the knife should feel like a proper extension of your arm, feel natural and effortless.
“Everyone take out an orange and an onion.” The professor follows her own instructions, pulling a juicy orange and a fat onion out of the bowl at her station. She grabs the orange and places it onto the cutting board you follow her lead with every step.
“We will be cutting these into 6 slice each, cut it right down the middle then cut the two pieces into thirds at an angle.” Wooyougs orange is very succulent, when he cuts into it the orange squirts onto his hand. Everyone quickly and efficiently cuts up their oranges.
“Now, you must pay attention the way you cut the onion. We will be dicing it into tiny pieces to make Pico de Gallo. The other classes with be chopping tomatoes and cilantro.” Grabbing the onions she starts to peel two layers off, she assumes you all follow.
“Start by slicing off the stem, not the root. Cut the onion in half from the root to where the stem was. Keeping the root intact helps keep the onion intact while chop.” You follow along while trying to keep yourself from tearing up over the smell of the onion. “Lay one half flat on the cutting board and make a few vertical cuts towards the root without cutting through it.”
You tried your best to not let your tears fall, you can tell your eyes are red and puffy. Cutting onions has always been something you hated, you just got one of those automatic choppers where you just push down the thing and it dices whatever you put in there.
“Finally, slice down across the onion leaving small spaces. Repeat with the other half then carefully scrape them into the pink bowl at your stations and put the orange slices into the blue.”
You try to wipe your eyes with your wrist and Wooyoung notices your puffy face.
“Are you okay?” Wooyoung said in confusion.
“Yeah, it’s just these bitch ass onions.” You sniffle.
After Wooyoung discards his herbs into the separate bowls he tries whipping your tears with his hand.
“N-“ Your eyes start to water even more, the odor of the onion all over his hand from just chopping it.
“Oh shit, I’m sorry.” He brings his other hand to your face, whipping your eye. The orange juices from earlier get into your eye causing you to react and grab your eye. You can barely see through your puffy eyes, you look for a sink.
“Can you take me to a sink?” You ask Wooyoung still holding your eye in pain. Everyone’s eyes are on you two. It’s not their fault you both are making quite the commotion. What an amazing first impression.
Wooyoung leads you to a sink that is literally only a couple steps away, causing you to run into the counter because you can’t see.
“Here,” you lean over the sink and Wooyoung turns the faucet on.
He splashes sum water in your eye before realizing how freezing cold it is, “fuck.”
You gasp feeling the cold water on your skin and in your eye, “turn on the heat. Too cold.” You groan out.
He turns on the hot water and tries splashes your face again, “Too hot shit!! How did it get scalding so quick!?”
“Sorry, sorry...” Wooyoung goes to turn the temperature down, but you stop him.
“It’s fine, thank you. I’ll just thug it out.” You say standing up, bringing your wrist to your eye and trying to get the orange juice out.
“Well then, shall we continue?” Mrs. Michealis are directed towards you and Wooyoung with an unamused expression on her face. You look around and catch everyone staring at you both in either irritation or confusion.
“Sorry.” Both you and Wooyoung spit simultaneously.
“I really am sorry about earlier,” Wooyoung says quietly, just loud enough for you to hear. He still feels guilty even after you said it was fine a thousand times.
“I’ve already told you, I know you had good intent. It’s fine. If you don’t stop apologizing, then were gonna have a problem.” You look at him with furrowed brows and wide eyes.
You both agreed with him on showing you the way to your next class as a way to apologize, now he’s walking you to A4.
“I had this class last year, the teachers kinda bitch. I know that’s insane in college, but he gives a lot of work, even on the first day he gave us like 3 pages of work for half a lecture. I’m sure you can survive though; I did.” Wooyoung gives you a tight-lipped grin pushing his cheeks out.
“Looks like this is it.” You say seeing a row of people lined up outside the door labeled A4.
“Ye- oh Yeosang!” Wooyoung quickly rushes over to the boy he called Yeosang, dragging you along grabbing your wrist tighly.
You follow along, “Not only did you try to make me blind, now you’re trying to break my wrist? You really are taking that loss harshly.” You tease.
Wooyoung gasps at your words, “I am not. If it was me and Yeosang we definitely would’ve beat you, isn’t that right?” He nudges the boy he rushed over too with his elbow.
You roll your eyes mockingly.
Wooyoung scoffs, “Anyways, Yeosang this is Y/n. Josephs sister.”
Yeosang’s eyes widen, and he furrows his eyebrows in complete disbelief. Theirs is not way that your… his sister. Also, how does Wooyoung know you? Did Joseph introduce him to you? When? And why wasn’t he there?
“Hey.” You give him a small smile, while bringing your hand up waving gently with your fingers.
He doesn’t say anything and brings his hand up in acknowledgement.
“Yeosang’s on the team as well, our starting small forward.” You push out your bottom lip and nod in approval.
The smallest action towards him from you does unspeakable things to him. Things you would never know or understand. He doesn’t understand himself.
A/N: I genuinely don't know, I have so much piled up to write and I just- this is my first solo Sangie fic and- I'm sick okay <3 let a girl be.
“We should have a baby.”
Yeosang was a sweet guy, a loving guy, a handsome guy, a very pretty guy, a bit absent minded guy but he was still “Your guy.” Did you mention he was a bit random sometimes, and thank God you were well aware of this trait, which is why you had only chuckled, lacing your fingers with his as the two of you walked towards your apartment.
“Missed a few steps there, don't ya think?”
His head tilted at the statement before he cleared his throat at the realization, a deep flush spreading across his face, down to his neck as he mumbled, “I mean eventually,” swinging your connected arms to distract himself, only to pout when you cackled.
“Wahh…look at Sangie, one evening with Wooyoung's kid and he suddenly wants a baby!”
You let go of his hand to turn, walking backwards, in front of him smiling up at him, “Hmmm…I mean I get it, she is a cutie, glad she took after Eve though.” You mumbled, causing him to laugh, watching your step, just to ensure you didn't trip, smiling when you continued, “But Mr.Kang, I would be honoured if you decide to bless my future offspring with your magical genes.”
“I think your genes would be better, need her to be…more confident.”
“Confident? Sangie, you're plenty confident, but having your angelic features- blessing i tell yo– did you say her?” you paused, staring up at him, as he stared down at you with an unreadable expression, slowly moving closer until he was a breath away.
Yeosang was never one to voice out his opinions, until he was sure of them, until he was sure that you were on board too and right now, the man in front of you, your husband of two years was staring at you the same way he had the night he had proposed, with a look so determined, so passionate and pure, one that would have you succumb to his every desire.
“I…would prefer…a girl,” his deep voice echoed in the silence, the chilly December night, suddenly feeling warmer and stuffier, especially when he leaned closer and brushed his lips against yours before pulling back with a gently smile, adding a hushed, “But whatever it is, as long as it's with you.” You were too dazed to respond, letting him gently clasp your sweaty hand in his cooler one, casually leading the way like he hadn’t just plucked your heart out of your chest and tucked it behind his ear- and you know what, you’d let him, it looked good there, was red and rosy, matching his birthmark, adoring his already perfect features. He could have whatever he wanted, it wasn’t often that he’d ask for something- other than food, this man couldn’t cook to save his life, so if your husband was oh so politely asking you for a child, well, why not?
“Sangie.”
“Hmmm?” The man unlocking the door responded, opening the door wide to let you in first before entering, locking up and turning around to find you sitting on the floor staring up at him as you sat there with your shoes neatly placed in the shoe rack, leaving him a bit worried, perhaps his sudden request had somehow pressured you into something- he really should have thought this through, thought of how to bring this up with you instead of just blurting it out after one baby sitting session-
“I think I’m in love with you.”
Yeosang chuckled in relief, sitting down next to you as he began to untie his shoes too, “That’s a relief, I thought I was the only one.” His smile broadened when you leaned closer, placing your head on his shoulder, only to morph into a smirk when he heard you mumble, “Might as well take a day off tomorrow then…need to practice for the baby.”
“Good idea.”
You pulled back and raised a brow, “I was joking, Sangie-”
“I wasn’t.” He stood up and pulled you along, ignoring your shy protests when he hoisted you over his shoulder, marching towards the bedroom, as you squealed, “SANGIE WAIT LET’S THINK THIS THROUGH.”
“No need to think, I’ll convince you” he declared as he kicked the bedroom door open, “Don’t worry, this is why I said let’s save up our leaves.”
This is so cute 😭 Yeosang got me in a crazy ass chokehold rn too. I’ve been trying to write a series and I just realized I don’t actually know how to write fluff so ima be studying ur writing for a min
Hope u get well soon!! I was just sick for a hot minute too
hey guys... i know i haven't been online at all recently so this should probably be no surprise, but i think i'll be logging off for good. i don't know if i'll be back or if i'll create a new account to simply lurk, but if anyone wants to contact me i guess my messages are open ^^
unfortunately i hope it's not too much to worry about, but i have been in very very bad health physically recently. i've been through a lot regarding my physical health but i genuinely don't know if i'll survive or if i'll be okay this time. i'm not really sure if i can talk about the details, as it might be too heavy to discuss on tumblr, but i suffered a couple bad brain injuries these past couple of months and it has caused excessive brain damage. i have trouble formulating proper sentences now (verbally, it is not as much of a problem when writing) and have constantly been having seizures.
i know i have disappointed all of you guys, especially by continuously saying i would be back and then just dipped again and again, but i hope you can get used to my absence !
i may also delete my account, so i don't know if any of my works will stay up... i might do a simple goodbye fic for fun ^^ i've been working on a lot of works but i reckon i won't really be able to finish them haha...
please be aware that replies in dms will be either slow or may not happen at all because of my mental and physical state at the moment, but i will still try my best to clear up any questions you guys may have :3
thank you all for supporting me through this journey, even though it ended far earlier than i wanted it to. in the case that i actually don't make it, a friend has my login to this account and i already have a draft saved for that :]
and of course, you all take care. i love each and every single one of you so very much. if i end up being okay, i will be back! but for now, this is goodbye <3
