Under The Skin
Fandom: Desire: The Series (aka ABO Desire)
Synopsis: This is my (kinda) canon-rewrite of the drama, but I'm basically giving these two a little more screen time. This fic idea was inspired by 'Under The Skin' by &TEAM, so I decided to name it after that since the lyrics apply to their story.
Things in this fic will mostly follow what happened in the drama, but I will be changing the whole arc where Gao Tu disappears for three years. I do have a fic called 'I Don't Want to Know' that starts at episode 16, but here, I will be approaching it in a much different way.
This fic is mostly from Gao Tu's POV, but I will explore Wenlang's sometimes, as I do see his to be an important part of their story.

(I stay as canon-compliant as possible and attempt to keep the pacing on point with where their relationship seemed to be throughout the episodes. Not sure why it's a new trend among fic readers to assume if the fic has not been posted within the week it's inappropriate to comment on it, like the fic has to be hot out of the oven to give feedback for.
I got a comment on a fic that is less than a year old and it was mostly an apology for being a comment on an "old fic" and how late they were in commenting.
Just comment on the fic. Doesn't matter how old it is.
I still get comments on my older fics. Not a lot but sometimes. I ALWAYS appreciate it. It definitely confuses me bc imo my writing wasn’t very good then and has drastically improved, but hey
My point is that people need to comment, basically. PLUS, I’ve had people comment on older fics and it inspired me to either start writing for that fic or that fandom again. If you want a fic to come back, that’s the way to do it sometimes lol

This fic is an almost full rewrite of the drama. "Scenes" start off a bit short but draw longer as the fic progresses, just as they did on screen. I do cut some scenes out in the interest of inserting ones that will aid in the omegaverse part of the storyline, but please rest assured, I do my best to reference that they happened because I love every single second of Heated Rivalry and think it deserves all the love it's been getting and more!
