      sweat beads along his brow and threatens to sting his eyes as he more or less drags his feet across the pavement over to the bag in question, biting back one of many complaints, mainly: holy shit, he’s exhausted. while he’d more or less HOPED that staying after class to help haru with her pet project would be relatively low-energy activity, the glint in her eyes when he’d agreed said somethin’ entirely different. ryuji’s back offers yet another complaint as he bends down to hoist the bag up and over his shoulder and shit, yeah, now he knows why.

      ‘ dude, you really do this every day ?  i’m kinda impressed. ’ his voice cracks from trying to shift the weight. correction: very. very impressed.

      ❝ impressed? normally, i use the wheel barrel to wheel the soil around, but since i have you here now, i don’t quite need to. ❞ haru trots after him, beaming from ear to ear. a smile she wears on her face is the sun, so it’s no wonder the flowers she raises grow so big and healthy. when they approach the garden, she steps over and clasps her hands behind her back. speaking in typical disney princess fashion, she squats with her legs together and speaks to the flowers.
