Many men want revenge on Alexander Hamilton.

I’d bet on it.

None of them, however, could do it as effectively as I. I know how to hit him where it hurts.

Oh, but I don’t want to ruin his career, or his relationships, or murder him. No, what I want is much more subtle. I simply want to take him down a peg. Shatter his arrogance, and weaken his confidence. He has too much of both, it would only do him good to have less. It would be even better for everyone else.

Oh, he’s beautiful. Thick red hair, rosy complexion, and deep blue eyes. An attractive accent you can’t exactly place, and a trim figure that’s irresistible.

But I can change that.

A hit to his ego is exactly what he deserves.

Fattening Hamilton up was a lot easier than I’d expected. For one so intelligent and paranoid, he accepted my offerings with no second thought.

I started slow, of course. Dropping a cube of sugar into his coffee when he wasn’t looking, or asking him if he wanted the rest of my lunch that I’d never intended on finishing. After a few weeks of this, Hamilton’s conduct towards me was considerably less insufferable. He was almost pleasant, even. I only wish I’d known that food makes him agreeable sooner.

To his credit, he was suspicious when pastries randomly started to appear on his desk. He caved in and ate the first few pastries, but after my third attempt, he started giving them to Troup. I had to try another strategy, though thankfully he never caught on to what I was doing.

My fatal mistake was in catering to his ego. It was a brilliant idea on paper, but one thing I didn’t account for was the effect spending so much time with Hamilton would have on me. I started inviting him to go on outings with me. “Let’s grab lunch together, on me,” or “how about dinner before we go home?” He never declined my invitations or questioned my motives.

Our co-workers began to think I was courting him. I answered their needling questions vaguely. The appearance of courtship would only make my plan easier. It’s not like our outings were bad, either. I even began to enjoy and look forward to them. That was what I hadn’t taken into account.

Alexander must have thought my intentions were romantic, too. He kissed me on our tenth dinner together. I kissed back. All for my plan, I’d told myself.

We kissed often after that. Secretly, so that no one from work would find out. They must have suspected something, though.

The good thing about our new physical relationship is that Alexander didn’t question it when I started bringing him food. Just a lover’s gift, he probably thought. Chocolate was the obvious option, though he ate any sweet thing I offered him.

When I hand-fed him chocolate in my bed, I still tried to convince myself that it was part of my revenge plan. I got satisfaction from stuffing him, though it wasn’t the kind I expected.

I could no longer convince myself it was all for the plan after the first time I slept with him. I started to crave his affection like he craved the treats I gave him.

Alexander is my boyfriend now, and I’m starting to second-guess my plan.

In one of our many conversations these past few months, we apologised to each other about past transgressions. Any feeling of vengeance that was once in me is gone. That’s good, but now I don’t know how to proceed. What I do know is that I can’t tell him about what I’ve been doing. He can never know. Fortunately, I don’t think he’ll ever find out. I mean, how could he?

I know on a logical level that I should abort my plan. If I were a better person I would confess and apologise. He doesn’t deserve to be fattened up anymore, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it. A part of me wants to continue, not for vengeance, but for pleasure.

I think I’ve found a nice middle ground to solve my dilemma. I may never tell him about my plan and the true origins of our relationship, but I can be honest about my current feelings.

Alexander is sleeping over tonight. We’ve been doing that a lot, lately. I would bring up the prospect of us moving in together, but it seems far too soon to be taking such a big step.

He’s changing out of his work clothes and into something more comfortable. I’m happily drinking in the view from across the room. He’s taken his shirt off, revealing a freckles chest, soft sides, and pudgy stomach.

Alexander looks down at himself and grabs a chunk of his side. His face reddens and he bites his lip. “Mh, I should go on a diet.”

“Why?” I ask. It comes out meaner than I intend. I hope he doesn't take it as sarcasm.

He dramatically motions to himself. I can’t help but roll my eyes. “Oh come on, you can’t deny I’ve gotten a little soft,” Alexander huffs.

“Maybe. A little. I wouldn’t worry about it,” I assure him.

My wording was a mistake. He begins to rant. “You wouldn’t worry about it? I had to buy new shirts and trousers last week because my old ones don’t fit anymore! Do you know how annoying that is? Now my wardrobe is all out of sync! I mean, seriously, how am I supposed to match the five new things I bought? And I can’t just buy a whole new wardrobe at once, that’s expensive!”

I can’t help but smile. “Oh no, whatever will you do?”

“You mock me! It’s not funny,” he pouts, an action made only more adorable by his puffy cheeks.

“It’s hard to take you seriously when you look at me like that,” I laugh and walk over to him, placing a kiss on his cheek. I let one of my hands roam and squish his chest. He closes his eyes and sighs contently.

“Do you want a fat boyfriend?” Alexander says it as if it’s a trick question.

“I wouldn’t mind.”

“You say that-”

I smugly interrupt, “Notice how I only started sleeping with you when you started to gain weight.”

“Oh.” A look of realisation crossed his features. I hope I didn’t give too much away…

“Everyone has their preferences,” I add.

“Ah…I was…I’m sorry for assuming,” he replies sheepishly.

“Please, do what you want, but don’t do it on my account. I’m more than happy with the way things are,” I tug his pants down, not without some difficulty. They must be one of the old pairs.

By the end of the night, Alexander was convinced of my true feelings about his body.

Fun fact about Alexander: he’s never celebrated Thanksgiving before. This year will be his first. Neither of his parents were American, so it’s only logical. We will be celebrating alone this year, just the two of us. No family: I avoid mine like the plague and his are in Scotland (they don’t acknowledge his existence anyway).

That explains the gaps in his knowledge when it comes to the holiday. We decided to split the task of providing food. I’d procure half of the meal and he’d make the other half. I am hopeless in the kitchen, so I didn’t even attempt to cook anything. I bought all of the dishes that merely required being heated up. So mostly canned vegetables and a pie from the grocery store.

Apparently, Alexander is a decent cook. Also apparently, no one filled him in on what exactly people eat on Thanksgiving. That’s my fault, I should have told him. Although, the result is a lot funnier.

“Alexander, darling, what the fuck is that?”

“Shortbread! Mum used to make them around Christmas, so I assume they’re a good dish for the holidays.”

“We don’t traditionally eat those for Thanksgiving,” I try to stifle a laugh.

“There are specific foods?” he counters, evidently very confused.

“Yes- you know what? It’s fine. At least you cooked something. What else?”

“I made some tomato soup. Oh, and pasta! Pasta is always good, right?”

I hear an indignant huff, “Aaron, stop laughing! You weren’t specific at all!”

“You’re right, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault.” Alexander slaps my arm with a dish towel as I’m keeling over in laughter.

He surveys the “dishes” I brought to the table and begins to giggle, too. “Maybe we should have coordinated this better,” he muses.

Soon we’re both on the floor laughing.

“Just let me do it next year,” he manages to say between our laughter.

“Deal!”

Eventually, we manage to lay our strange spread on the table and sit down. I intend for all of this to be gone by the end of the night.

I only eat half a plate. Though Alexander’s portion of the meal is good, I never have a large appetite. Alexander is eating like a normal person, but that will not do. He takes seconds of the deserts, but when he finishes those he sits back like he’s done.

“Alexander,” I try to look at him as seriously as I can.

“Yes?”

“We, and by we I do mean you, have to finish this,” I motion to the table.

He looks at me incredulously. “Why?”

“I can’t fit all of that in my fridge! I mean, we could throw some away, but I know how much you hate that.”

Alexander bites the inside of his cheek and hums in thought. “Oh. Alright, alright, good point. But why do I have to do it?” The answers seemingly comes to him seconds after asking. He blushes and looks away.

“That’s unfair…” he mutters grumpily.

“Do it for me?” I coax.

He sighs, “Fine! But only because I love you.”

We’d done something similar to this before, but not very often. It had become a special occasion sort of thing.

Alexander sat on my lap and managed to finish the pastries and vegetables with no help from me. I unbuttoned his shirt to alleviate some of the discomforts from the bloating.

“I can’t,” he whined, dramatically dropping his fork.

“Sure you can,” I coo and start rubbing his stomach.

“You’re diabolical for this,” he says, though his fake anger isn’t very convincing.

“Oh, really?” I lean over and put some of the leftovers on his plate. He obediently takes a bite when I put the fork to his mouth.

“Good boy,” I whisper in his ear, eliciting a muffled moan from Alexander.

I pepper a few kisses on his neck for good measure. With continual praise, belly rubs, and kisses, he finishes almost all of our cursed dinner.

“That was very impressive.”

“I’m glad you think so, now please help me to bed before I roll onto the floor.”

I laugh. Always so dramatic, my Alexander.

He kicks off most of his remaining clothes once we get to bed, and I do likewise. I lay down next to him, stroking his back and stomach, and hold him close. It isn’t long before we both fall asleep, warm under our sheets.

Before I fall asleep, I mutter, “Sleep well, Alex. You’ve earned it.”

Turns out, revenge really is sweet.

Yes and no.

Hamilton was already gaining weight before Philip's death, as reported repeatedly from 1790 and so on.

Angelica Church wrote a letter to Elizabeth from London concerning the reports of her husband's weight gain;

“Colonel Beckwith tells me that our dear Hamilton writes too much and takes no exercise, and grows too fat. I hate both the word and the thing, and I desire you will take care of his health and his good looks, why I should find him on my return a dull, heavy fellow!”

Baron Von Steuben also showed concern for Hamilton's, not only emotional, but physical health. In a letter [16 December, 1790] he suggests Hamilton a diet containing more vegetables than meat, and says he should go on horseback rides every morning for eight or ten miles, and claims his walks on foot are doing him no good;

“My good friend? I learn with sorrow Your indisposition I am persuaded that the lack of Exercise is the principal Cause, I conjure You to bring the remedy there, give You a small bidet and trot Your eight or ten miles all the Mornings, Your races on foot is not enough. Saved that Health so dear to so many people, and So useful to this tender Miss Collumbia.

I have consulted my friend Tissot, I order you to eat a lot of roots, such as refort or horsraddish, carrots, parsley roots in your broth, turnips, chicory and saddlery, a little meat and a lot of exercise—I become Charletan—but what will I not become for You?”

Hamilton must have taken on the Baron's suggestion, as apparently in 1791, AH corresponded with Henry Lee, regarding a horse to assist him in getting out and exercising. Hamilton requested a gentle horse, and Lee made sure to find one that would meet with his needs. Lee then wrote to Hamilton [12 August 1791];

“Mr Cox was about taking to you my riding horse, but my apprehension of yr. necessary hurry & my wish to compare him with a horse I have sent for, concluded a procrastination of my execution of your request & my ardent desire. No other consideration could have induced me to postpone a measure you reckon essential to your health.

Nor shall time be lost in presenting you with this trivial testimony of the zeal with which I engage in any matter which goes to your comfort.”

I don't think it was anything detrimental, truthfully. Hamilton was prone to ailment and being slim with a short stature, I think the couple of pounds he put on was just more noticable due to this (Stop shaming him for his dad bod, okay). Trumbull's 1792 portrait gives a perspective of it though.

So, no; this was a couple of years before Philip's death. But there are hints to Hamilton losing sleep during his long period of grievance, like this 1805 portrait that shows Hamilton's strikingly plane luggage worth of bags under his eyes;

A Hamiltum fic involving Christmas food? tis the season lol

Eliza loves the Christmas season. What’s there not to love? Spending time with family, playing in the snow, exchanging gifts, being extra cozy in the house to stay warm, and her wedding anniversary is in the same month. Those are the reasons Eliza loves December, and most people know this about her. However, there is another reason Eliza loves Christmas that no one besides her knows about.

Every time Winter rolls around, her dearest husband Hamilton gains some weight. She knows ‘Winter Weight’ is a completely normal phenomenon, and she’s convinced that she’s the only one who notices it.

Up until recently, that is.

The usual cycle for years has been that Hamilton would gain some weight in winter, but by the time Spring came it all seemed to magically disappear, as if it were never there in the first place. There’s a hidden sort of disappointment Eliza feels whenever this happens. She finds herself not minding when her husband gets a bit softer. She finds herself preferring him that way. He becomes even more endearing and adorable, and at night when they’re alone, she finds that the extra flesh on his butt and legs only adds to his beauty.

Luckily for Eliza, she didn’t need to feel disappointed anymore. Over the past three years, her Hamilton has not been losing all of his winter weight. As far as she could tell, he seems to keep a small amount of the winter weight permanently. Then, when Winter comes again, more precious padding is added, and the cycle continues. The result delights Eliza tremendously; every year her Hamilton gets just a bit more chubbier.

When it is December once more, Eliza wastes no time in cooking and baking to her heart’s content. She loves to bake, though she doesn’t care much about eating the fruits of her labor. Thankfully she has children and a husband to take care of that. Though, Eliza sees to it that most of her baking endeavors go to her husband.

Unlike his wife, Hamilton is extremely fond of sweets and baked goods. Eliza has no trouble at all in convincing him to try her baked treats. In fact, there’s no convincing required! She simply has to find him in the house (whether that be in his office working, or in the living room reading) and place a plate of freshly made treats in front of him. Kisses are a frequent bonus!

On a particularly chilly December morning, Hamilton found himself in front of the dresser. He'd woken up early (which wasn't unusual) and wished to get dressed. The only problem was that his clothes didn't seem to fit! The suit he'd picked wasn't old, he'd only had it since last year.

Hamilton tried in vain to button his waistcoat and breeches, but the fabric could only stretch so much. The breeches seemed to be especially difficult to put on. He had to jump and wiggle just to try and get them up his plush thighs. Unfortunately, he was unable to pull them up past his butt, which had gotten much wider since the last time he'd worn these pair of breeches. Hamilton didn't even have them on completely, and it already felt like a second skin, uncomfortably squeezing his soft flesh.

The breeches were swiftly thrown to the floor, purely out of frustration and panic. The waistcoat was on, though unbuttoned. Hamilton didn't have the chance to button them because a confused and tired Eliza asked, "Sweetheart?"

The sounds of Hamilton struggling as he tried to fit in his clothes woke Eliza up. She was annoyed at first, but when she opened her eyes and saw a pair of breeches strewn on the floor and a promising little belly peeking out from an unbuttoned waistcoat, she was more than delighted.

Hamilton was not so delighted. His eyes went wide and his face quickly turned a bright shade of pink. "Betsey! I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you!" Eliza sat up, stretched, got out of bed and walked over to him.

Playing dumb, she asked, "What are you doing so early in the morning?"

Hamilton's posture shrank in an attempt to hide himself. "I was getting dressed. Or...well, I was trying to get dressed. There were some...uh...wardrobe malfunctions."

Eliza giggled and lightly smacked his butt. "I can see that! I don't know why you thought that thing would ever fit in there," she pointed to the discarded breeches.

She hadn't thought it possible, but Hamilton's face got even more red. He began stuttering, eventually looking down at the floor in shame. "I thought- it fit last year."

"That was last year. But it's no problem, just take it to the tailor. Easy fix," Eliza smiled warmly and snaked a hand under the back of his waistcoat to stroke his back.

"I suppose...I'm sorry. You deserve better. You must be repulsed."

There was a deep sadness that stirred up inside of her when she heard that. "Oh, dear...don't say that." Eliza gave him a reassuring smile before continuing.

"I could never be repulsed by you, and…" she sheepishly looked away, "I actually prefer you this way. All soft and squishy." She wrapped her arms around Hamilton and kissed his cheek.

"I think you're much cuter and sexier."

Hamilton laughed and shook his head, disbelieving. "You're just saying that to make me feel better."

"No. Really. Seriously, Alexander, I know we never talked about this but you never got any hints? Not even once?"

"...what do you mean?"

"I spend most of my free time baking even though I don't like sweets, you're the first person they go to, I keep giving you treats, I do this every winter, I always encourage you to eat, and we make more love during the winter. None of that made you suspicious?"

Hamilton paused, mouth slightly open. "Oooohhh. I never gave it much thought, but now that you point it out it makes a lot of sense."

He paused again, looked at Eliza slightly offended, and said, "Wait! You planned this!"

She couldn't help but laugh. "Planned? No, I simply count on it...every year, and then watch. And encourage, of course. But I never made you do anything." She grinned coyly and put a hand on his stomach.

"Please don't be upset with me."

"You exploit my weakness!" Hamilton replied jokingly. "I'm not upset. Just surprised. You cunning little thing!"

"And what would your weakness be?" she asked curiously.

"Sweet things and flattery."

"Good thing I've mastered both!" Eliza gave him a kiss.

"You know...I wouldn't mind if you stayed like this all year. It's always so sad when spring comes and it's gone…" she smirked. "Or, more recently, some of it is gone." Her hand that was stroking his back dropped down and squeezed his butt. Hamilton groaned lowly.

"Only if you want to, of course," she purred.

Eliza felt an arm wrap around her back and pull her closer. "I'll think about it," Hamilton replied. "Definitely tempting… now that I know about your preferences, I find the idea worth investigating."

"The idea of being my chubby little hubby?" Eliza teased.

"Yes, but please never say that ever again," he replied, laughing.

She grinned widely, "You're not ones to make demands around here. We both know who's in charge."

Hamilton snorted. "Right. Sorry. Please exert mercy on me, my dearest angel, and never say that phrase ever again."

"That's much better!" Eliza nodded approvingly.

Much later that same day, when the children had been put to bed and the house was quiet, Eliza dragged Hamilton to the living room. She'd been teasing, groping, and kissing him the entire day. He had absolutely no complaints. "Betsey? What's this?"

In front of Hamilton was a plate filled with some leftovers from dinner, some pastries, and a piece of cake. Eliza sat down next to him and took his hand. "Can we try something new?" she asked nervously.

"What's new about this? It looks like a plate our children would assemble."

Eliza laughed, "I want you to eat it, idiot."

"But it's so much!"

"That's the point."

"I don't understand you," Hamilton rolled his eyes playfully. "But if that's what my angel wants, I'll try to fulfill her wish."

"Yes! Think of it like you're giving me my Christmas present early."

Hamilton nodded and began to clear the plate. He started with the dinner leftovers. When he'd finished eating them, Eliza picked up a pastry from the plate and held it up to his mouth. He raised a brow but took a bite anyway. She cooed and stroked his face, "Good boy~" Hamilton didn't get why this delighted her so much, but he had to admit he liked it too, especially the praise.

By the time he'd gotten to the slice of cake, he was quite full. "Ugh, Betsey, I can't," Hamilton groaned.

Eliza was prepared. "Yes, you can! Just a little slice and then we can snuggle in bed."

He whined, only relenting once she rubbed his belly and he discovered its soothing effects. The walk back to their bedroom was torturous. Hamilton collapsed into their bed. Luckily, he had already been in his nightshirt, so there were no ill fitting clothes to make the experience more painful. Eliza joined him in bed. She used one hand to soothe his aching stomach, the other to explore the rest of him.

"You did very well, my love," she praised, stroking his thick thighs. Hamilton shuddered and moaned quietly.

"You never fail to surprise me...mh…"

Needless to say, they didn't do much sleeping that night.
