Evolution of the Clone Trooper
The first Clone troopers (Phase I) were primarily seen on the assault on Geonosis. Their armour stemmed mainly from Jango Fettβs design and concept. In the aftermath, some much needed alterations were made to both the armour effectiveness and style of the Clone troopers (Phase II). Features included insulated armour in order to survive in any environment (even space) as well as modified helmets for better tactical view and various abilities such as integrated gas filters.Β
After the Galactic Republic was abolished and the Empire instated, the clone troopers were formally known as Stormtroopers. Due to need for new recruits, human ensigns were taken in, and the legacy of Jango Fett slowly died out during the Galactic Civil War.Β
